@pugprincess good luck for your scan!

I'm gutted about another lockdown, I just don't feel like things are ever going to go back to normal again.

I hope the scan went well @Pugprincess. I can't remember who else had a scan today too?

@SkyBlue20 good timing getting your mamas and pappas trip in before lockdown, at least you've been able to have a try of different prams ect before ordering. I've been googling double prams as we stupidly didn't get one that converts to a double (top tip get one if you think you mind have baby no 2!) but haven't tried any out yet. Will probably have to wait until post lockdown now.

I've just jumped on the exercise bike for the first time since before I was pregnant, only did 15 minutes but it was nice to move my body again. I took it super easy (on the lowest setting!) but if they confirm my hematoma has gone at my 20 week scan im going to try and pick it up a bit more. It was odd as I'm used to pushing myself so I had to hold back!

Scan went well! It was delayed until 4pm so that’s why I’m only just updating you. Found out I have a posterior placenta so that explains why I’m feeling things early. We saw hiccups and waves and mouth opening and closing! So lovely. Xxx

Aw glad your scan went well @Pugprincess, I'm also feeling anxious about the lockdown but hoping I won't let my anxiety get the better of me and enjoy the time off seen as though I'll have to close the salon from Thursday 🙃

The scan went well seen seen as though it was a reassurance scan it did just that and saw an active baby growing well with a healthy heartbeat, the sonographer even changed the camera to a 4d scan which I wasn't keen on before but actually it looks pretty cute actually with a little button nose!

@smilingdonkey thanks for sharing your experience, I really hope I will feel the same after 20 week scan! Keep still being so anxious that I’ve actually decided against an earlier private scan because the scans bring on the anxiety. Just going to keep plodding on and hoping for the best.

@Skyblue20 that’s very organised of you! I was hoping to go and look at some bits in person after 20 week scan but it’ll be the middle of lockdown now. I’m thinking of trying to get things second hand as my husbands on a pay cut due to Covid, but I wanted to try things out in store so I know what I’m after! Fingers crossed we’ll get an opportunity in December or early next year.

Congratulations @pugprincess and @Lu93 on lovely scans 😊

We’ve had a tough week with the due date of our MC baby and my husbands Nan died as well (not unexpected but still sad). He said that perhaps she was looking after the little one up there and it made me really emotional.

Not looking forward to another lockdown but I think it would be much worse if I wasn’t pregnant - mostly what I want to do is snack and snooze at home so I’m pretty much set 😄 Will be sad to not see family and friends for a while though.

Lovely scans @Pugprincess & @Lu93 😍😍

I'm hoping the lockdown will go quick, but then I think reality will hit how close to Christmas it will be, and I don't feel like I'm even organised for Christmas this year at all 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

On a plus note though, the weekend lockdown ends, il be 28 weeks!! Such a scary thought 😱

@DanceM1 The main thing that worries me is the fact this isn’t going away, meaning come February, I’ll probably be alone in hospital for days with a newborn and unable to move much due to CS. DH is going to be one of the poor men I saw waiting outside the door of the maternity unit holding a baby carrier, not able to stay/visit their fragile wives at the most vulnerable time for a woman or see their newborns.

@Pugprincess I’m not excited, more scared. I keep myself detached from the baby for a long while. It’s how I remain calm during pregnancy and the early stages, however since feeling movement, it’s getting to be virtually impossible as the kicks are literally non-stop from the moment I wake up. I think she kicks even when asleep. I find myself talking to her sometimes, which is scary as it means I’ve accepted that I’ll be having this baby. I also want to get everything prepared and set up (apart from the basic necessities, I don’t need to buy anything else), been thinking about how my son will cope, how he still needs to get taken to nursery and how I’m going to survive with two little children when one is hard enough!

@bubblybon20 yes 28w next month. What a milestone that will be for us!

Looks like @JoJo58995 is eager for us to start a new thread! I’ll do it in a bit, but let’s get this thread full first.

I am early in my pregnancy 3-4 weeks I think … I’ve had 2 miscarriages before, I found out a couple of weeks ago I was pregnant and booked an early scan because my last period was now over 9 weeks ago, so I wasn’t sure how far along I was. I went and they told me I was still early, and everything has gone okay no pain etc until a couple of days ago I had a massive heavy bleed I’ve been out of the country and just got back so I’m now in for a scan in the morning to see how things are. I’m so nervous I feel so heartbroken again :’( anyone else had a huge bleed with clots and no cramps??
