@Smilingdonkey ive just booked another private scan for Saturday. Heard a lot of bad news about other pregnancies this last week and it has made me feel very on edge again (and obviously really sad for the people involved). I think i need a bit of reassurance and hopefully thats all it will be! Also I won't feel movements for a while yet because of anterior placenta so a scan is the only way to really know how things are for me just now!

Evening all!

@Poppy10121 Most of this week I’ve been exhausted and then just today my bump has definitely grown a fair bit, so I think baby has been doing lots of growing, making me tired! Maybe it’s the same for you.

@DanceM1 Also very achy, mine’s my back towards the end of every day. Regardless of where I am sitting to work, I still get back ache. Haven’t done any yoga this week so must get back on that, I imagine it’ll help. Absolute right call booking a private scan, I think anything to help the anxiety is the right thing to do. Sorry to hear about all of the bad news 😔

@Pugprincess Definitely a tiredness like no other! It’s like a full body exhaustion rather than just being sleepy, isn’t it?! Yay to 10 weeks! 🥳

@RosieJess91 Glad your sister is doing ok and also thrilled that your scan is coming around quickly now! Feels like you’ve been waiting a long time.

I cannot wait for our private scan now, two weeks and a bit to go (we booked it so late 😫) I keep just thinking ‘how will we tell everyone if it’s gone wrong?!’ which is totally the wrong way to think. We just wanted close family and friends to know but it seems to have spread like wildfire between my mum’s friends (because my mum is super excited and pretty much text her entire phone book after we told the family - I think we should have been clearer in who we were happy for her to tell 🤦🏻‍♀️) and it just makes me anxious. Clinging on to the fact that I’m getting bigger and have been super tired so it must mean something is happening in there 🤞🏼 I just want movements already!

We’re going away for three nights tomorrow and I can’t wait! Got a few hours in the car, may be needing some toilet stops 😂🙈 Excited to just get away though - work has been crazy for us both so to have a couple of days off and also to get a change of scenery is going to be heavenly.

@SkyBlue20 aw have a lovely time away!

I’d like to have weekly scans but the scan lady put me off and said try to wait two weeks in between. With my bleed I’m extra anxious now anyway. @DanceM1

I’m having lots of twinges tonight in abdomen so either growing or wind lol. X

Hey everyone, sorry I have been following but now there’s a new thread I’d just like to add a message so I get the updates. I really enjoy reading how everyone’s getting on and the lovely scan photos. A few posts back but I also fell 3 months after the d&c wonder if it’s just coincidence or if you are more fertile? Who knows?! Either way I’m 11 weeks now and feeling good super tired, but apart from that I think I’ve been very lucky with the symptoms of the first trimester.

Glad everyone’s doing okay 💕

@skyblue20 hope you have a fab time. I felt a little roll in my belly last night followed by a push.

I kept waking up in agony with sharp pains in my stomach. Like a stitch where you can t stand up straight. Im hoping it was round ligament pain. It Seems to have gone this morning

@lu ooh not long then till your scan?

@pugprincess hope the brown slows down for you soon. X

Morning!

@Pugprincess @SkyBlue20 with you on the tiredness, I'm falling asleep on the sofa most nights! Not helped by my daughter waking in the night again this week 😭

I'm feeling very crampy today, it's be building for the last few days, trying not to freak out and thinknits just everything growing and stretching. Had a bit more brown blood reach a pad this morning too, but not much and I walked to nursery so think that might have triggered it. Scan tomorrow so just waiting nervously for that....

Thought I might have been developing a uti but the dip test at the doctors was clear so maybe not.

@dancem1 completely understand booking a scan, especially after hearing others bad news.

Have fun @SkyBlue20

Had my GP phone appt about my messed up arm and he said they must have damaged a nerve by putting the needle in too deep and I need to give it time to heal. He said this straightaway as it’s obvious what happened, whereas the blood test Team Leader was dilly dallying around it, clearly scared I was going to complain and wants me to keep her updated and one guy tried to minimise it and say it couldn’t be nerve damage. Well it’s been over a week and it’s affecting me so I’m going to see what action I can take. GP can’t do anything as I’m pregnant.

I was going to wait and see if my hospital get the flu vaccine in by the time I have my next appt, but I’ve gone ahead and booked it elsewhere for this week, as I’ve read that there may be a shortage. Also it’s probably a good idea to have the two jabs separately to avoid two achy arms!

I’m still feeling movement everyday. Mainly hard pokes, weird rolling and tightness. It’s not that often though but enough. It’s reassuring but certainly not comfortable lol.

@sakura54 oh no about your arm. You should definitely complain. Hope it heals sooner rather than later. How many weeks are you now?

@ew1990 nope, bit gutted though because by the time I have me 12 week I’ll be 13.5 weeks and it feel like it’s been forever I did have a scan at 8 weeks where I was measuring 3 days ahead so really want to make sure everything’s okay. It an extra week and a half to wait! @Sakura54 that’s sounds bad about your bloods!! I’ve currently got purple bruises on each forearm and then they managed to get it finally in the back of my hand!! I’ve just been wearing long sleeves!! Have they advised you what weeks it’s best for the flu jab? I haven’t booked mine yet xx

@SkyBlue20 I’m absolutely sure everything is fine in there still, hope you can relax and enjoy your trip! That’s so sweet about your mum, mine is the opposite and refusing to be excited after last time even though last weeks scan looked good. She was even surprised I told my brother I was pregnant again!

@Workingmama1 good luck for the scan tomorrow! I’m so jealous you get to have yours at 12 weeks 😊

@Sakura54 that’s terrible about your arm, I hope you don’t have to go back there!!

@Lu93 I’m the same as you, won’t get 12 week scan til I am 13.5 weeks. It’s a long wait especially when your anxiety is sky high!!

@pugprincess I’m also making my husband cook dinner for me, need a lie down after work! The only good thing about being pregnant during Covid is that there is absolutely no FOMO when I get into bed at 9pm every night 😂

Scan went well! Everything looking as it should and dated at exactly 12 weeks today. Due date 9th April.

They were running 30 minutes late and I was bursting for a wee. She couldn't get the measurements as my bladder was too full, sent me to half empty, then baby not in a good position so had to empty my bladder! Then the trainee sonographer couldn't get the nt measurement so the experienced one had to take over. Not complaining though just happy to see a healthy looking baby. Could properly see arms and legs. Been waiting nearly an hour to get my bloods done and see the midwife now, poor husband has been waiting outside for 2 hours.

Congratulations, @Workingmama1!! You made it! 🥳 Such a lovely scan. I had to wait aaaaaages for my bloods, too - DH was also in the carpark for two hours or so. So long!

@Sakura54 ouch! Nerve damage?! That is some
Bad blood taking!! Thanks for the intel on the shortage of flu jabs, must get mine booked! Lovely that you’re feeling movements every day 🥰

We’ve just got back to the hotel after a day of walking - according to my app we did about 10k - and I am cream crackered! Legs are achey and I need a nap! Luckily we’re going for dinner just across the road so not too far to go this evening and time for a rest first. Hope everyone is having a lovely day xx

@workingmama yay!! Another milestone!

@skyblue20 hope you get a relaxing evening

I've been very achy and crampy the last 2 days. Hopefully just everything growing and stretching. And I could cry with how exhausted I am. It wore off last week but came back 😞

8 days into a 14 day isolation too as someone I had contact with has tested positive for covid. I've got cabin fever. Can't wait to get out of the house

@Sakura54 I've had experience with a few bad blood tests, but never nerve damage! Ouch! I had one earlier this year, he tried both elbows and then tried my left hand, did it so badly that my hand was bruised and had a huge lump on it for a good few weeks. Was very sore. A different nurse came over and got it straight away in the other hand.
Don't know how some of them do it so badly!
@workingmama1 after everything, I think you deserve a smooth scan! Lovely scan pic! Can't wait now, just want to make sure everything's healthy, why do I still have to wait until Tuesday?! Ahh!

@Workingmama1 wahayyyy beautiful scan! Are they lot letting partners in where you are? Hate when the scan apps run late as they ask you to have a full bladder but you can only hold it so long 😩😂

@ew1990 I’m achey too. I tend to get cramps and twinges etc every day but I sort of find it reassuring as I think it’s growing pains like you say.

So tired from work and got my nephew for a sleepover tonight as both his parents work tomorrow so got him all day. Dunno how those of you with other kids do it 😅

Still getting some brown discharge 😩 I bet it’s still bleeding a bit. Another week till my next scan. Horrible not knowing if it’s ok in there. Scan only reassured me for a bit. Xx

Congratulations @Workingmama1 that’s lovely and I hope you can relax a bit now!

I’ve had some weird discharge today, can’t tell if it’s very slightly tinged with blood or maybe I have a bit of an infection from the progesterone pessaries I’m still on. I’m taking them up til first scan but it feels like ages still and I’m getting really sick of them. I just want the scan to hurry up now but still another week to go - will be almost 14 weeks by then! I’ve completely forgotten the reassurance of last weeks scan already 🙄

Just had my 16 (17) week appointment this evening and my midwife says partners can come to the scan now!!! So my DP can come to our 20week on the 14th (also my DD's 2nd birthday!)
Feel so anxious - I really hope I feel it soon! Xxxx

Hi everyone, i haven't been on here for a while but its great to see so many have now passed the 12 week mark and doing well! I had my 12 week scan today they put me at 12+3. Due to my other half not being allowed in I booked a private scan for yesterday, all's well with baby thank god. My OH asked what the gender is (I piped up saying its too early) she agreed to look and said 'I think boy' followed by 'I would never say for definite at this stage but I haven't been wrong yet' has anyone else found out the sex this early?

Report
Sakura54 · 26/09/2020 09:16

@ew1990 I’m 17 +6. Not sure how normal it is to see/feel where the baby is lying at this early stage, but I reckon I don’t have much room in there because of my lack of bump and weird split womb, hence why I had a breech and premature birth. Could just be chatting crap though.

@Lu93 I always get bruises from bloods, sometimes huge, but it wasn’t bad this time. We can get the flu jab whenever, but best to do it in Autumn. I even had a last minute one in March but it’s a new season now so can get another. The whooping cough can be done at 16 w, but I was told to wait until 20. I’m having mine at just over 19 as that’s when I’ve got my next hospital appt.

I’ve started to sometimes get cramps after peeing again, it’s been a while but it’s one of my symptoms. Deffo not a UTI, as my results came back normal.

@sakura54 I've been getting cramps/pain when peeing. Urine dip test came back fine but still waiting for the results from the sample they sent off. It kind of feels like my bladder is going to explode both before, during and for a bit after peeing. I don't remember that with my daughter but maybe its just a weird pregnancy thing with increased pressure.

@bubblybon20 some places you can buy the pushchair and then ask them to store it for you if you don't have space which is handy. We've got my daughters but stupidly didn't get one that converts to a double so may need to get another!

Had my flu jab today, it was a military operation, you don't even sit down to get the injection.

Feel a bit more relaxed today, don't think it sank in yesterday...

@nep2020 our due dates will be very close, they dated me at 12 weeks yesterday.
