I am early in my pregnancy 3-4 weeks I think … I’ve had 2 miscarriages before, I found out a couple of weeks ago I was pregnant and booked an early scan because my last period was now over 9 weeks ago, so I wasn’t sure how far along I was. I went and they told me I was still early, and everything has gone okay no pain etc until a couple of days ago I had a massive heavy bleed I’ve been out of the country and just got back so I’m now in for a scan in the morning to see how things are. I’m so nervous I feel so heartbroken again :’( anyone else had a huge bleed with clots and no cramps??

@DanceM1 The main thing that worries me is the fact this isn’t going away, meaning come February, I’ll probably be alone in hospital for days with a newborn and unable to move much due to CS. DH is going to be one of the poor men I saw waiting outside the door of the maternity unit holding a baby carrier, not able to stay/visit their fragile wives at the most vulnerable time for a woman or see their newborns.

@Pugprincess I’m not excited, more scared. I keep myself detached from the baby for a long while. It’s how I remain calm during pregnancy and the early stages, however since feeling movement, it’s getting to be virtually impossible as the kicks are literally non-stop from the moment I wake up. I think she kicks even when asleep. I find myself talking to her sometimes, which is scary as it means I’ve accepted that I’ll be having this baby. I also want to get everything prepared and set up (apart from the basic necessities, I don’t need to buy anything else), been thinking about how my son will cope, how he still needs to get taken to nursery and how I’m going to survive with two little children when one is hard enough!

@bubblybon20 yes 28w next month. What a milestone that will be for us!

Looks like @JoJo58995 is eager for us to start a new thread! I’ll do it in a bit, but let’s get this thread full first.

Lovely scans @Pugprincess & @Lu93 😍😍

I'm hoping the lockdown will go quick, but then I think reality will hit how close to Christmas it will be, and I don't feel like I'm even organised for Christmas this year at all 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

On a plus note though, the weekend lockdown ends, il be 28 weeks!! Such a scary thought 😱

@smilingdonkey thanks for sharing your experience, I really hope I will feel the same after 20 week scan! Keep still being so anxious that I’ve actually decided against an earlier private scan because the scans bring on the anxiety. Just going to keep plodding on and hoping for the best.

@Skyblue20 that’s very organised of you! I was hoping to go and look at some bits in person after 20 week scan but it’ll be the middle of lockdown now. I’m thinking of trying to get things second hand as my husbands on a pay cut due to Covid, but I wanted to try things out in store so I know what I’m after! Fingers crossed we’ll get an opportunity in December or early next year.

Congratulations @pugprincess and @Lu93 on lovely scans 😊

We’ve had a tough week with the due date of our MC baby and my husbands Nan died as well (not unexpected but still sad). He said that perhaps she was looking after the little one up there and it made me really emotional.

Not looking forward to another lockdown but I think it would be much worse if I wasn’t pregnant - mostly what I want to do is snack and snooze at home so I’m pretty much set 😄 Will be sad to not see family and friends for a while though.

Aw glad your scan went well @Pugprincess, I'm also feeling anxious about the lockdown but hoping I won't let my anxiety get the better of me and enjoy the time off seen as though I'll have to close the salon from Thursday 🙃

The scan went well seen seen as though it was a reassurance scan it did just that and saw an active baby growing well with a healthy heartbeat, the sonographer even changed the camera to a 4d scan which I wasn't keen on before but actually it looks pretty cute actually with a little button nose!

Scan went well! It was delayed until 4pm so that’s why I’m only just updating you. Found out I have a posterior placenta so that explains why I’m feeling things early. We saw hiccups and waves and mouth opening and closing! So lovely. Xxx

I hope the scan went well @Pugprincess. I can't remember who else had a scan today too?

@SkyBlue20 good timing getting your mamas and pappas trip in before lockdown, at least you've been able to have a try of different prams ect before ordering. I've been googling double prams as we stupidly didn't get one that converts to a double (top tip get one if you think you mind have baby no 2!) but haven't tried any out yet. Will probably have to wait until post lockdown now.

I've just jumped on the exercise bike for the first time since before I was pregnant, only did 15 minutes but it was nice to move my body again. I took it super easy (on the lowest setting!) but if they confirm my hematoma has gone at my 20 week scan im going to try and pick it up a bit more. It was odd as I'm used to pushing myself so I had to hold back!

@pugprincess good luck for your scan!

I'm gutted about another lockdown, I just don't feel like things are ever going to go back to normal again.

@workingmama1 I forgot to say, I feel very much the same as you. People keep saying "oh you must be so excited" and the truth is, I do get a little excited but im still really nervous! I havent bought a single thing yet and I'll be 23 weeks this week.

Morning ladies!

I couldn't post yesterday because I let myself get all stressed and anxious after all the lockdown talk. Really worried about being in work without PPE and distancing now. I live in one of the worst areas in the country for covid and just don't feel protected at work so I feel really guilty that I'm not protecting my baby. I have asthma as well and ended up in AnE with it last Christmas (could have been covid, who knows) so its all worrying me. Anyway... I've woken up a little more positive this morning. Im going to just do the very best I can to protect myself..going to wear a mask unless actually teaching at front etc..What else can we do!

How are you all feeling about being stuck at home again? I realise that brings its own troubles! Hope everyone is OK!

@SkyBlue20 my friend didn't feel movements until 25 weeks so don't worry!! It sounds like you have been feeling baby anyway! This little one is kicking away right behind my belly button this morning 🤣 I love it and it freaks me out all at the same time!

@Pugprincess good luck for your scan!! Im sure it will be brilliant and you will be beaming afterwards.

@SkyBlue20 aww I think you have the anterior placenta though don’t you? So least you know there’s a good reason for it.

My scan this morn guys 🙂 excited and nervous. I’ve not felt the long flutters since thurs but had the odd fairly regular one or two in a row. Hoping everything is ok 🤞🏻 Does anybody else wake up and think oh yes I’m pregnant and struggle to believe there’s actually a baby inside them lol? I have moments where I’m excited and I can imagine the future but most the time I’m cautious and anxious and can’t imagine a baby at the end of this 😔 I do love it so much already though, I’m always rubbing my bump or looking in the mirror lol. So I guess my heart 💖 is taken. I get so protective too, like in supermarkets if someone’s coming near me with a trolley or when DH is driving I freak if a car comes to close. X

Evening everyone!

So back in to lockdown we go...it’s quite disheartening feeling that we’ve regressed seven months but needs be I guess. Can’t drink through this one though! 😂🙈 We went to Mamas & Papas today for a personal shopper appt as want to try and buy the big things in the Black Friday sales but also wanted to be able to try them first. Feels too early but we had an eye on lockdown so thought we just needed to get it done. It was really helpful actually and we really quite like the Ocarro pram but didn’t commit to anything as want to have a bit more of a look around first. Might try one more shop tomorrow.

@Workingmama1 Congratulations on your scan and your little boy! 💙 So lovely your mum was there. Well done you for writing to your local MP, too, your point is completely right! Glad you liked the leggings.

@Smilingdonkey Congrats on your scan, such amazing pics! Glad you’re feeling so positive about everything, too. I’m a bit like WorkingMama in that I still can’t see a baby at the end of all of this but I’ve been trying to force myself to enjoy it by buying some cute bits of clothes and having the Mamas & Papas appt etc. Told my god children today, too, which was nice (but made me very nervous).

Still no real movement here, it makes me so anxious when I see everyone else talking about how much they’re having. I think I had a few little taps a couple of nights ago (it was the first time it really felt like there was something hitting me lightly from inside rather than a twitch) but I’d say that was probably the third time I’ve MAYBE felt something. I’m just so desperate for them to become more regular now, I’m 21 weeks today, SURELY it can’t be much longer?! 😫

Cute pictures @smilingdonkey! Glad all was looking good for her scan too... I've felt similar, I've been keeping quite disconnected from this pregnancy, I shocked myself this morning, we have a big mirror in our bathroom and I did a double take when I saw myself naked with a bump!

A few people have asked me if I'm excited, the reality is that I'm not yet, I feel awful saying that, but I'm still not in the place where in 5 months time I will have a baby in my arms. I've not let myself get to that point in my head, I guess I've been trying to protect myself...

Aww @Smilingdonkey your post has really made me well up, so pleased you feel so much better. I've had an up and down week but feel I'm really getting there sometimes and get excited and talk about our future. I hope by 20 weeks I have that light bulb moment of feeling way more positive! Only 3 weeks to go! Gorgeous scan photos congratulations again on your little girl 🥰
