Just what you wanted. I’m thrilled for you @SmileyT I’m quite nervous to find out. I thought I wouldn’t care when it’s the second child, as I got my wanted boy already, but it’s still a big deal adding to the scanxiety.

@Pugprincess I accept all tests offered. Apart from down’s, the other conditions aren’t compatible with life so I’d rather know sooner rather than later and take action from there while still newly pregnant. That’s true though, low risk is still a risk!

@SkyBlue20 I stopped napping for a little while but now I’m back to being tired again and napping. TBH I stay tired throughout the whole of pregnancy mainly in the evenings, growing a human takes a lot out of you then giving birth too.

Looks like we have at least one scan a week. Our due dates are nicely spread out. I’ll probably share a birthday with one of your April babies lol. I would have had a 29th Feb due date if it had been a leap year.

I've just really vomited for a good 5 minutes with no warning whatsoever. Then had a nosebleed right after. Was really weird.

How's everyone else doing? Just booked my 16 week appointment. It's next Wednesday but will be a phone call

@Pugprincess that’s an amazing bump!

I’ve not fully decided about testing yet but my gut feeling is to get the 12 week test and if that comes back high risk I would go for harmony test before invasive testing. I have a week to think about it still.

I’ve just seen the government announcement that we should all go back to WFH if we can, I had been quite enjoying the office but I’m also feeling really tired at the moment so quite looking forward to some lie ins at home again! I just really hope this doesn’t affect my husband coming to next weeks scan, or being able to see relatives 😬 I’ve still not told anyone about the pregnancy yet and all being well was going to stop avoiding people early October but I may have no choice now!

Well, I've had a dramatic 16 or so hours!

My son's first day at school yesterday, of course, he flies out, trips and has grazed half his face to pieces and turned his lip blue. My poor baby!

And my younger sister was rushed into hospital with suspected appendicitis, to actually find out she had a large ovarian cyst the same size as a kiwi, which is the same size as my baby is right now... It's aggressive and they decided not to operate at last second, instead sent her home with strong medication and told her she'd be in pain for the next 4 months!!! Insanity.

But in other news, today I have reached the 12 week milestone! Now I've just got a week to wait to check everything's okay and see if my dates were correct! 🤞

Glad to see everything's going so well for everyone 💗

I know this is a thread for those currently preggo after mc, but I'm in the trying again after mc stage and I was curious how many of you got pg immediately after mc? My mister and I decided to start ttc 2 weeks after, 2 days before ov and on ov day etc after Dr ok'd. Anyone else done that or am I nuts? Lol

Report
RosieJess91 · 22/09/2020 16:43

@Stina85 I had my MMC in April, I had a CP beginning of June, I found out I was pregnant again end of July, I'm 12 weeks today. Not so patiently waiting for my scan! So for me I was technically pregnant a month after the miscarriage, but fell pregnant properly 3 months after it. Good luck!

ew1990 · 22/09/2020 16:50

@stinta85 yeah happened to me. Currently 15 weeks pregnant and took the tablets for medical management of last pregnancy 16 weeks ago. I didn't track ov though just dtd and hoped for the best. We were very lucky.

Awe YAY! Congrats to you girl! I took a test this morning, it was either faint positive or evap line. CB not the best tests. Im gonna wait a week and test again. Maybe I'll get to join the group with my rainbow positive.

Thanks @ew1990, my little boy seems fine, hardly fazed, keeps telling me to stop fussing over him!
My sister, god knows, she's been sleeping on and off all day, just told her if she started vomiting or bleeding to get herself back there and gave her strong pain meds. But her GP has phoned her and told her to stop taking the pain meds and just use paracetamol and shes told us her pain level has gone from a 2-4 to a 7 or 8. Personally I think she should be back in there, but the ward nurse said no. 🤷‍♀️
So much drama!

In other news though, I had this weird moment where it felt like something wiggled in my tummy earlier. But it's way too early to feel the baby!

ew1990 · 22/09/2020 17:03

@rosiejess oh dear. Hope she gets her pain under control soon. Doesn't sound nice for her.

@RosieJess91 how rubbish for your poor sister, can't believe they sent her away! But yay on being 12 weeks! I alap jad a random feeling yesterday, it was like something small had rolled over in my tummy, not like the typical bubbles or flutters...

@Stina85 sorry for your loss. Did you get a negative before the faint positive today?

Evening everyone! On the couch watching Bake Off, heaven.

@Sakura54 Ahh hello fellow April birthday lady! 👋🏼

@ew1990 Oh no to the sickness! Hope you’re ok now. My 16 week appt is next Wed, too ☺️ I forgot how quickly you got pregnant after the MMC, must feel like such a whirlwind!

@RosieJess91 Congrats on 12 weeks! What a day you have had though, hope your DS and sister are ok. I wouldn’t necessarily discount the movement - it’s early but they do say you feel it easier when it’s not a first baby!

@Stina85 I waited for my first period after the MMC before trying again but got pregnant right away then. So sorry for your loss xx

@skyblue20 I feel ok now. Was just the once thank God. And I know its feels like I've been pregnant forever. Going off dates I must have ovulated as soon as I stopped bleeding. I remember writing on our TTC thread that I was having brown blood around 3ish weeks after my MMC which I thought was AF starting. Must have been implantation bleeding.

@Poppy10121 thank you I think I’m going to be huge 😂 ooo what’s the harmony test I haven’t heard of this...

@RosieJess91 glad your son is ok after his fall and that’s awful for your sister. I wonder if an anti inflammatory like ibuprofen would be better? You aren’t meant to use some things too long. Wonder if the ovary will reduce down to size and what’s caused it to enlarge.

@Stina85 hi there and sorry for your loss. I got pregnant straight after my mc with no period in between. Was incredibly lucky seeing as it had taken us 5 years to fall with the one we lost. I noticed I had much more egg white mucus around ovulation that before. Maybe more fertile...

@RosieJess91 wow what an eventful day! I hope everyone is doing ok, sounds like your sister could do with some more help from the hospital though!? Being told you’re in pain for the next 4 months is awful!

@Stina85 sorry for your loss. I think a lot of people on this thread got pregnant very quickly after. For me it took a couple of months, my cycles were wacky at first and very irregular. I had medical management for MMC in April and was pregnant again in July.

@pugprincess Harmony test is a private blood test you can get that checks for genetic disorders. It’s expensive (£350 is the cheapest I’ve seen). My sister had it before 12 weeks with both her pregnancies (earns more ££ than me!) for reassurance before the NHS scan. I wasn’t planning to have it cos I’m not made of money but if I got a high risk result on the NHS test I would try that before invasive testing that risks MC.

I’m feeling so tired this week, been asleep for 10 hours and it’s not enough! Wonder what is going on in there!?

@RosieJess91 your poor sister that sounds awful!!

@Stina85 I had one period after my missed miscarriage then fell pregnant straight away so was very lucky really (so far!).

I'm very achey this week... i feel like I'm being blown up like a balloon 😂 my hips are hurting as well so I'm hoping its just growing and nothing to worry about 😬 i do seem to look suddenly bigger!

How is everyone else??

Knackered here too 🙋🏼‍♀️ Husbands been cooking dinners etc as I’ve had it when I get home from work. Mind you I feel like I’m nodding off in the afternoon at school 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s a tired like no other isn’t it?! 9 hours sleep last night and still struggling 😂
@Poppy10121 thanks for the info I will have a look into that x

10 week milestone for me today 😁 thought my brown discharge had stopped as was back to normal earlier but had a little more light brown. Hopefully it will all stop soon 🤞🏻 Booked another private scan for a week Friday xx

@ew19 I'm sure they will tell you the gender if you want to know 😊 the probably just mean they wont say until the 20w scan x

@rosiejess I'm glad he is ok! Poor little thing 😩

@workingmama1 I have had that exactly feeling a couple of times - I'm 16+4 now ... Too early?? I am feeling pretty anxious at the moment and wondering if I should book another private scan - I can't wait to be able to feel it move all the time ... It's so reassuring!

@stina85 I got pregnant after one period ... Going by our experiences here it seems true that you are more fertile the 3 months or so after a MC!

@pugprincess the tiredness is extreme isn't it? There is nothing like it ! I seem to have passed the worst of the exhaustion now but I'm still throwing up every morning 😩

Thanks everyone, my sister seems to have been okay today, haven't heard too much, think she's been sleeping it off. She's on ibuprofen as well anyway 😊

I just had another one of those flippy moments in my tum again! Very odd. 5 and a half days until I get to see what I believe is either a really wriggly baby, or I just have some weird wriggly gut 😂
