@Pugprincess I absolutely agree that later on would definitely be harder. Pregnancy is just a constant worry and once they are born, I'm telling you now the worry doesn't disappear. It gets worse 😂 xx

Pugprincess · 29/10/2020 22:32

@Lollol86 😬🙈

RosieJess91 · 30/10/2020 11:34

@lollol86 my son is 4, and he goes on about all sorts. So not sure why she took it to heart. The other day he told her he was being looked after by his older brother, my mum looked at me in shock and I said ignore him, we haven't seen his brother in a long time. So don't know why she takes anything to heart.
@Pugprincess sort of. The OH doesn't drive and he has work on Saturday, so I do have to take him to work in the morning. But other than that, I'm off.
Just had a very bad day. Hoping today will be better. Screaming into a pillow would have been a good idea!

Workingmama1 · 30/10/2020 12:15

@rosiejess91 hope today goes better than yesterday!

Had my gender scan today and it's a BOY! My lovely mum drove up so she could come to the scan with me, they wrote it down for her and we did a mini gender reveal so my husband and I found out at the same time when we got home. I went to ultrasound direct and they didnt do much else but check the heart, bladder and stomach but a was looking good and like a 17 week baby should. Also, she couldn't find any evidence of a hematoma so it might have cleared up on it's own!

Lovely news @workingmama1 and great that they couldn't see hematoma!! How exciting.. another boy in the group 💙

Lu93 · 30/10/2020 13:07

Yey!! Congratulations @Workingmama1 lovely scan photo, can’t wait for my scan on Sunday! Xx

Sakura54 · 30/10/2020 13:14

@Pugprincess Deffo too early for you to worry about movements - still another 2 months until you get to 24/25w. I don’t even want to think about late MC/stillbirth and the fact you still have to give birth to it. MMC was bad enough. I wasn’t really scared of MC before as it’s so common, but late MC is a different story. Even though we know it’s unlikely to happen, it can and that’s a horrifying thought.

@Workingmama1 A boy, wahey! We’ve nearly found out all the babys’ sexes now.

Have to start a new thread soon. Our due date list didn’t really get bigger. A lot of people join then disappear for some reason or pop up now and again and probably don’t read anything we write.

I saw a thread asking if a family of 5 can live in a 2 bed, as they want to have another baby and here I am wondering how long I’ll be able to live in my current house with 2 kids of different sexes without using the living room to sleep in lol!

@Sakura54 I tried to add myself to the list but I couldn't do it for some reason it wouldn't let me copy the list, I'm not sure if I was just having a moment? I'm definitely still here, keeping up with everyone's posts every day. Its keeping me going 😊

Starfish762 · 30/10/2020 13:32

@Workingmama1 YEY CONGRATULATIONS! 💙 Think you have a daughter already? How lovely your mum got to be there too.

I must say everyone on here is tempting me to find out even though we wanted another surprise, obv way too early to be even thinking about that! I’ll def add my due date to the list once 12w scan is out the way.

@RosieJess91 hope you have a better day today. Your mum should know that toddlers say random stuff all the time doesn’t mean any of it is true. We apparently can use santa’s magic key to open up postboxes & retrieve old dummies from the dummy fairy (3 year old DD 😂)

JoJo58995 · 30/10/2020 15:03

@Workingmama1 congratulations on the scan. What a lovely way for you to reveal the gender so at least you could both find out together 😊

Bellabubble · 30/10/2020 16:14

@Sakura54 I’ll hopefully be adding myself soon - I’m still at the early stages though, and experiencing a weird range of emotions from “it’s fine, nothing to worry about” to “my boobs definitely don’t hurt as much today, something must be wrong” I’m really hoping it gets better 👍🏻 Got an early scan next Sat where I’ll be 8+4 (going by my natural cycles app date it says I ovulated on), I know me though, and if my size doesn’t tally up I think I’ll panic!

Threnody · 30/10/2020 17:01

@Workingmama1 congratulations - a boy! Lovely scan, and how nice your mum could be there.

@Sakura54 will add myself after 12 week scan, only 7+6 at the moment, so still a while to go!

@RosieJess91 my children say all sorts of nonsense, hope your mum comes to her senses soon.

@Starfish762 I still can't decide whether to find out or not - still way too early to think about it - I'm still worrying over whether there is even going to be a baby.

I've got my booking appointment on Wednesday - I was worried I'd have to cancel as my youngest got sent home from nursery on Monday with a temperature, but we got his negative result today, so that's a relief.

MRJ86 · 30/10/2020 17:13

I wasn't able to add myself in! Also, I'm so early that I don't want to tempt fate! I'm just 6w and still a bag of nerves!
@Workingmama1 lovely scan photo! X

MrsK21 · 30/10/2020 17:44

@Workingmama1 lovely scan photo!

@Pugprincess sorry you're feeling so anxious especially after the news of your work colleague. Hope you're feeling a bit better and reassured, did you say you've got a scan booked in?

@Sakura54 I'll add myself in after 12w scan if that's ok please. Still feel quite nervous about it all and just 8+3 today xxx

Bellabubble · 30/10/2020 17:48

@MrsK21 I’m a week behind you! 7+3 today..and suddenly really feeling the anxiety. Will be glad to get back into busy school life!!

Coffee4me · 30/10/2020 18:16

@Workingmama1 thanks for pregnancy yoga suggestions! I've only been doing walks but want to start yoga again, my normal app doesn't do pg yoga.

I'm regularly lurking here, I'm just over 8 weeks now. I had 2nd reassurance scan at 8 weeks, all was well thankfully. I have one more scan at 10 weeks - if it goes well, is farthest along I've been. I'm still cautious and taking day by day

I've enjoyed reading the thread and bump pictures 👍

MrsK21 · 30/10/2020 18:21

@Bellabubble these early days really drag don't they?!
Do you have much by way of symptoms?
Have you been lucky with not much nausea? I've got hyperemesis so been very quiet online and in real life, every day feels a bit of a battle unfortunately but keep telling myself it's one less day of being sick! X

Bellabubble · 30/10/2020 18:36

@MrsK21 hyperemesis doesn’t sound fun!! I haven’t had anything too major, which in itself scares me (the age old symptom spotting..although I don’t think I’d be worried if I hadn’t had a mmc before!) I feel sick if I don’t eat something small every couple of hours, and have sore boobs (although they have gotten less tender recently) and lightheadedness - but that’s about it. My last pregnancy didn’t progress past 5+4, but I got symptoms up until spotting started at 8+2 - and I think because I am close to that I am starting to worry! Have you got any early scans booked?

bubblybon20 · 30/10/2020 19:16

@Workingmama1 yay! Another boy on the thread! 💙💙

@Sakura54 yesss sounds good to a new thread! With everyone updated/added 😅

Pugprincess · 30/10/2020 19:34

@Workingmama1 massive congratulations on a baby boy! And great news the haematoma is hopefully cleared up 🤞🏻

Yh I have a scan Sunday. Had lots of flutters yesterday. Not so much today but odd twitches which I think is the baby too. So I’ve kept calmer today XX

Workingmama1 · 30/10/2020 20:34

Thanks ladies, I was so relieved to see a heartbeat that I'm not sure I would have taken in the gender during the scan! So it was nice to find out together at home. Also lovely my mum could join me, I've not seen her since I found out I'm pregnant so was nice to snatch some time with her and she felt very involved!

@starfish762 yes I have a daughter already so will have one of each.

@sakura54 I can't believe we have nearly filled thread 3! Maybe we should update the scan and due dates and can start the new thread with those on top?

I emailed my MP the other week about partners not being allowed at EPU scans but they are allowed at 12 and 20 week scans. I got what started off as a genetic response but he had clearly read the detail of my message and is personally taking it up which was nice to see. First picture is my email to him, second is his response.

@Workingmama1 congratulations on your boy! 💙 so nice your mum could be there too x

Starfish762 · 30/10/2020 23:14

@Workingmama1 oh wow what a great response from your MP! 👏🏼 Although good on you for writing in the first place & making a change for so many couples ❤️

ew1990 · 30/10/2020 23:49

@workingmama congrats on tbr baby boy!!

I've been in bed since half 7 but still can't sleep. Like my body is so exhausted but sont switch off. Hope everyone else is doing ok? 5

Smilingdonkey · 31/10/2020 00:08

@workingmama1 congratulations!!! And well done for writing to your MP! I always have such good intentions to do these things and never get around to it!! So thank you on my behalf!

I hope people don't think I'm weird for not adding my name to the due dates list yet - this unshakable anxiety in me is holding me back from wanting to focus on the end result of this pregnancy. I'm getting there but I'm not there yet ...

I had the second attempt at my scan today at 21+5 and all is liking well and she is doing what she's meant to be doing ☺️ I'm feeling her more and more too.

Hope you are all well xxx
