Ah so glad everyone else has been suffering with back ache, but also feel for you alll as it's painful! Hot water bottle has made it way out the cupboard 🤪

RosieJess91 · 28/10/2020 18:09

I've also been suffering with back ache and side ache and everywhere ache 😂😂
About to go and purchase a hot water bottle as we haven't been able to find ours since we moved. 😭

Sakura54 · 28/10/2020 20:40

@SkyBlue20 What a nice clear pic and angle!

I prefer unique/rare names (like Sakura as a girl’s name for instance lol) but can’t go too crazy otherwise it’ll be odd, so gave DS a normal cool name. Didn’t think it was that popular but according to that site, 400 babies! Oh well lol. There was a popular cool name that we both liked - Ethan - but didn’t use it as others including a family member used it.

@Starfish762 How nice having the same MWs. I can imagine you’d feel more relaxed all the way through and at the birth knowing you will be looked after by familiar people. I’ve seen many different people so far and don’t expect to see them again or more than twice.

In my notes, it says I’ll be getting a home visit from a Health Visitor. Anyone else heard of that? I’d rather not! I wasn’t at this hospital with DS.

@ew1990 @bubblybon20 I also find the low down kicks uncomfortable (sometimes achy) and other movements can be too. Kicks are supposed to get stronger at 25w, but mine have been full on since about 18w and I first felt movement before 14w. I don’t know if it’s due to my small body but any stronger and it’s not going to be great.

How’s everyone’s bladders holding up? Mine is ridiculous, sometimes I need to pee constantly. No wonder it’s easy to get dehydrated. I get kicked there a lot which makes me need to go desperately. Feels like baby is tap dancing on it!

@Smilingdonkey ooh that site is a bit of a fun and glad you are feeling better

@SkyBlue20 so glad you both got to see your little girlie, all so exciting 💖💖 I'm feeling you on the having nothing to be working towards, my next appt is December 14th... I haven't made it more than 2weeks without a scan so far but we'll see how I get on x

@DanceM1 I'm in tier 2 and tbh I'm trying to get out as much as possible, I was reading the updated guidance which indicates that there is such a tiny risk in pregnancy which has made me feel much more comfortable about the whole thing. Plus when we're going out to work seems daft to stay in the house the rest of the time.

@Workingmama1 ooh what pregnancy yoga are you doing? I've hit the gym again but really want to do some yoga again. Will you put the gender in an envelope or something to reveal together? x

@MRJ86 my booking appt was on the phone and about 15minutes, she just went through a questionnaire about standard info about me and OH but guessing it will be much more conversational face to face.

@Sakura54 ooh haven't heard of the health visitor thing, wonder what they get up to in your house 🤔 I'm so bad for going to the loo, I probably only go about 3 times a day 🙈 sometimes he kicks on my bladder but then if I actually go to the loo nothing comes out and it annoys me.

ew1990 · 28/10/2020 21:15

@sakura I had a hv visit at home before DD was born. Was just to introduce herself and see if we had any questions

bubblybon20 · 28/10/2020 21:59

@Sakura54 I had a health visitor visit with my first second son! It was dreadful!! They looked down their noses at everything, I even had my mum there and they was not shy of making themselves obvious, I was young so my guess they could be why! But considering I already had a child, they still made me feel completely useless! But still! I just hated it, hoping it's not the same this time around, especially with everything going on? 🤷🏻‍♀️ but who's knows!

Also in regards to the bladder, that's terrible at the moment I think baby is lying quite low, as I can have a sip of a drink and need a wee within 10-15 minutes going to get fun when he gets bigger 🤣🤣

My kicks have gotten so strong recently, like it actually feels like a full on kick, I remember it all so well now! 🤣

Pugprincess · 29/10/2020 01:27

@bubblybon20 gosh if I got one like that I’d be inclined to ask them to leave! Forget that!

Guys I’ve got myself in knots today as been feeling long flutters but my had them today. I’ve had odd one or two flutter/twitch feelings which I suspect is still baby but I can’t be as sure as when I get the long ones (it does feel the same though) I know I’m still very early but Monday/Tuesday I had up to 3 occasions of flutters that lasted a good few seconds but not today. Did anybody else have this when they first started to feel things early on? I’m 16 weeks on Saturday. My anxiety is made worse because I know someone who just lost theirs at 17 weeks and she had gone to get a scan as she hadn’t felt movements for a bit and baby had stopped at 15 😔 I’ve had a big cry tonight because it’s just bringing me a lot of anxiety and trauma x

bubblybon20 · 29/10/2020 03:32

@Pugprincess I could have just had a bad one 🤣 well I hope so anyway!
In regards to movement, considering this is my 3rd pregnancy. I assumed I would feel movements really early. But in fact I didn't really feel anything until 18 weeks, I did have light flutters like you are explaining but they definitely wasn't everyday. I completely understand why you're worried, I think you get in your head it's all gone wrong still.
But honestly I would only just say the past week or 2/3 I've noticed every day movements, and I'm 23 this weekend. I think baby could have moved so you're probably not feeling the same flutters as much. I would try not to worry so much, the chances of things going wrong after 12 weeks are quite slim.
Hopefully baby moves again for you and reassure you a bit. X

Pugprincess · 29/10/2020 06:11

Thank you @bubblybon20 xx

Dipsy77 · 29/10/2020 06:47

@Sakura54 you don't have to have the health visitor come round. Mine came and introduced herself when I had dd we thought she was nice if not a bit over the top. She came just after dd was born when she had colic and I pointed out she had a burst blood vessel in her eye. She said nothing to me but next day I got a call from gp who I had taken her to about her eye and he said all was ok to say the health visitor wanted to report it to social services. In the end it didn't happen but I was fuming that she didn't speak to me I about it, I understand they have procedures but to go behind my back!!. I spoke to her boss and got an apology and a new health visitor but if she had been as bad I'd have said I didn't want a health visitor which you are well in your rights to do so. To be fair in the current climate I don't think they are doing these visits now, I've had no contact with my health visitor since dd was 4 months and she's 13 months now xx

JoJo58995 · 29/10/2020 07:51

@Pugprincess I'm sorry you're feeling anxious. It is still very early to be feeling movements but I can imagine to have them and then not it instantly causes anxiety. I really hope you start feeling things again soon 💕💕 I've felt really anxious the last few days too, just feel like I'm in that limbo stage between scans where I can't feel anything, look a bit bloated permanently and feeling a bit rough still but otherwise....I've been having some odd dreams which don't help even though I know it's normal. I'm 13+4 and I've just booked a 16w scan which is still 2 + 1/2 weeks away and it feels like a very long time! I so nearly scanned myself at work yesterday but I'm just so scared after last time when I could see things weren't right and I'm worried I'll end up doing it every day 😔

DanceM1 · 29/10/2020 08:49

@pugprincess I had exactly the same worry earlier this week. I only started feeling movement just before my 20 week scan (1st baby and anterior placenta) but even they were tiny and irregular. Now I feel baby every day but the other day I hardly felt baby all morning. They day before it didn't stop moving all morning. It made me panic. Everything I read only talked about speaking to midwife etc after 24 weeks for reduced movement but like you I was really worrying because it was so much less than it had been the previous days. Anyway, the next day baby was wriggling loads and I've been feeling it since. Try not to worry! It probably has just changed position so its harder to feel!

DanceM1 · 29/10/2020 08:51

@skyBlue20 @smileyT thank you. Dont know why I suddenly worried about going out the other day. I think its right to jusy be cautious but we can't put ourselves in full lockdown can we!

ew1990 · 29/10/2020 16:53

@bubblybon20 baby was head down at my scan last week and seems to be headbutting my cervix and bladder 😩😩

Im So tired. Like physically can't move exhausted. Already on b12 and iron tablets. I'm hoping I get some energy soon.

Workingmama1 · 29/10/2020 18:52

I can't remember who asked but I've done some Sarah Beth prenatal Yoga and Bettina Rae who has videos specifically for pregnancy anxiety which are very gentle.

I picked up my lowest weights today and realised how unfit I've got as I've literally done no exercise between feeling awful in the 1st trimester and then being advised to take it easy because of the hematoma. Depending on hownthe hematoma is looking tomorrow I think I'm going to start trying to do a bit more.

@Sakura54 I was told with my daughter I would get a home visit from a HV before she was born but I never did. I chased it and was told they are short staffed so not doing it. I doubt they are doing home visits during covid. I do worry about post birth and lack of access to care like baby clinics, my daughter was monitored frequently as she was slow to gain weight at times.

@Pugprincess I wouldn't worry about on off movement at this point, I've been similar. I remember at 24 weeks I went nearly 2 days feeling nothing, all was fine and the midwife said she had probably just moved to a different position. I thought I'd be feeling more by now, 17 weeks tomorrow, 2nd baby and apparently have a posterior placenta, it's making me anxious about my scan tomorrow.

My mum bless her is driving up (they have a flat down the road as they live down south) so she can come with me to my scan as my husband needs to look after our daughter now she is self isolating! I was a bit of a mess yesterday thinking I would have to go on my own.

@SkyBlue20 thank you for the LoveLeggings suggestion, been wearing mine all week and they are so comfy!

DanceM1 · 29/10/2020 19:05

@workingmama1 im so glad I've just read your post. I came on here to say I'm in a state of panic because baby was wriggling like crazy yesterday and today I've only felt a couple of odd movements. Been worrying myself sick but feel a bit reassured by what you've just said. Please God let it be ok 🙏🤞 Good luck for your scan tomorrow! Im sure it will all be perfect!!

Smilingdonkey · 29/10/2020 19:37

@dancem1 u an 21+5 tomorrow and have been feeling movements since about 19 weeks but even know they are so sporadic! Some days loads and some days nothing at all. I think it's totally normal this early on 😊 Even right at the end of my pregnancy with my DD the movements varied and a couple of times I went to MAU to get it checked out and it was always nothing. Hope that's reassuring! Xxxx

Smilingdonkey · 29/10/2020 19:38

So many awful typos! I hate this phone app! Sorry!

DanceM1 · 29/10/2020 19:48

@smilingdonkey thank you!! Im 22 weeks today so I know its still early days. I think its just after feeling sooo much yesterday its a big contrast today and hard to ignore. Maybe baby has moved position. I have just had a bit of wriggling thankfully though. I'll hope for more tomorrow. Thanks for the reassurance x

Pugprincess · 29/10/2020 20:25

Thank you for the reassurances ❤️ Luckily I’ve felt a few flutters again today so feeling happier again. I think you are right about baby being in a different position so harder to feel. It’s all new to me and with what’s happened to the lady at work this week who was the same sort of time as me I just freaked out. I kkk no one anterior placenta makes things hard to feel but what about the posterior placenta, does that make it harder too? I will ask at my scan on Sunday if they can tell me where mine is xx

Workingmama1 · 29/10/2020 20:28

@pugprincess a posterior placenta is the opposite, it means its at the back of the uterus, so in theory its easier to feel movements as they arent cushioned by the placenta. That is just so sad about your friend, I think when stories like that are close to home they are even harder to hear xx

Pugprincess · 29/10/2020 20:38

@Workingmama1 thank you yes I’m devastated for her, it’s a third loss in a row now and getting into 2nd trimester you hope you will be ok don’t you. It hit me like a tonne of bricks when work told me, I just cried and they sent me home (they understand what with my previous loss and anxiety now). Had another big cry last night and sent her flowers today. She’s not come back to work yet but that will be hard too I think. X

RosieJess91 · 29/10/2020 21:05

Sorry, I just need to rant.
I've had a really awful day. Argued all day long with my OH, about stupid things, but things nevertheless. My son has been an absolute nightmare all day. I get to work and they've moved the canteen round, and left the huge, disgusting stains from under the fridges for me to clean up. My son says something to my mum that has upset her and now she's not talking to me.
I've literally just cried myself silly for the last hour and a half. Just fed up with today. Fed up with being over emotional. Everything sets me off. Even just seeing the massive stains I just burst into tears.
I think I'm really tired, just need lots of sleep. But at the same time, I feel so stressed out I don't feel tired in the slightest.

This may sound like absolutely nothing to you lot, because so many worse things happen all the time, but I think just everything in one go has really got to me today. 😭😭😭

Lollol86 · 29/10/2020 21:19

@Pugprincess glad you have felt movements again, honestly try not to worry though (easier said than done) I think midwives say baby shouldn't have regular movements until 24 weeks.
So sad about your friend. You do think getting past the 12 weeks means you are safe but that's absolutely not the case xx

@RosieJess91 oh bless you sounds like you have had a horrific day.
Tiredness definitely makes everything worse. I don't understand why your mum is t talking to you because if something your son said? How old is your boy? Xx

Pugprincess · 29/10/2020 21:50

@Lollol86 yes I think your just safer not completely safe which I suppose is obvious but when you actually hear or have it happen gosh it’s awful. When I lost mine one of my DH mates said least it happened earlier and not later and it sounds a bit harsh as a loss is a loss but I do think the further on you are must be really horrific.

@RosieJess91 aw rant away! Sounds like you could do with screaming into a pillow. Do you have the weekend off to look forward too? (If partner and child are behaving that is) Friday tomorrow yay. Deep breaths and let it all out xx
