@Freddie1987 I’m just going to go on a walk or stay in a separate room whilst he is here. Once he’s left will antibac / clean down.

@Clalou83 I took my piercing out years ago. If your Bolton, there is a pram shop which have opened for appointments near you. So you can go and have a look at things safety.

@1990shopefulftm sorry no. I’ve got to collect my thursday, as they where closed when I went last week after the scan. If your midwife is part of the surgery, surely they can just out a stamp under it.

@DressingGown87 opps I'd started a new thread the same time you did.

The midwife was a hospital one. Basically, there was an hour wait to see her for my scan as one of the other midwives was off sick and the antenatal clinic had shut for the day so they couldn't do the stamp, so she said the GP should be fine to do it. I ll get DH to take me to the surgery after work tomorrow and will see what happens. I've got my whopping cough jab booked in on Monday so if they do need to stamp it hopefully I can pick it up then.

DressingGown87 · 09/06/2020 08:48

@1990shopefulftm oops! We are super efficient, I went to reply, and realised I couldn’t.

Yes hopefully they can do it at the same time as your injection. It’s just to confirm the pregnancy. Which at this stage shouldn’t be an issue. Sorry that you had a long wait!

@DressingGown87 the ladies after me got sent home as it was past 5 when I saw the midwife so I was just very grateful that they did overtime and were willing to see me. I hadn't had my form for free prescriptions or my 12 week blood results apart from the trisomy screening back and she made the effort to get them sorted for me.

KitKatKit · 09/06/2020 09:28

Whoops, I created a new thread too! I'll go get it deleted!

Thank you @DressingGown87 !

1990shopefulftm · 09/06/2020 09:34

@KitkatKit how do you go about deleting a thread?

Mc3209 · 09/06/2020 10:06

I was about to make another thread too until I saw this one 😂

DressingGown87 · 09/06/2020 10:12

We are all super organised!!

@1990shopefulftm that’s good that they stayed and got you sorted out. I think I’m future I will try get morning scans, save waiting all day, and so I don’t miss the appointments afterwards.

Makes me laught how mn puts (neurologicaly typical) after my name... I don't feel it Grin
@KitkatKit how do you go about deleting a thread?
I reported the thread and asked MNHQ to delete as it was a duplicate- I hope thats the right way at least! Grin

How are we all feeling? I had my whooping cough jab yesterday and my arm is sooooo sore! I barely slept because it felt like I was lugging a half severed limb across my body everytime I turned!

1990shopefulftm · 09/06/2020 10:32

@Kitkatkit I m feeling great today after having my scan yesterday, did a lot of shopping last night. Just waiting for him to decide to start kicking me more but feel less anxious knowing that my placenta is anterior.

BS9790 · 09/06/2020 10:36

@DressingGown87, yes we visited a store for a private opening appointment. We had an hour in the store to ourselves. We ordered the nuna mixx in birch colour. It won't be delivered to store until September 😊

DressingGown87 · 09/06/2020 10:38

@KitKatKit I know that feeling, its so heavy isn't it! I've had CBT therapy this morning, through perinatal, so spent that last hour crying, for a reason I don't know. Think they call it tough love.

@1990shopefulftm That is exciting! I ordered some clothes, but other than that, nothing! Hopefully get the big items started tomorrow. You nearly all sorted?

What groups have people signed up for? I know there is Emmas diary? I've joined Boots parenting. Is there any others for great deals?

1990shopefulftm · 09/06/2020 10:44

@DressingGown87 I think it's mainly clothes and the pram and bottles and bits that's left to sort. I ve got a box of stuff but waiting on furniture to arrive on Saturday so we can go through it incase I ve missed something else.

60sPony · 09/06/2020 11:36

Still haven’t bought anything (and have a lot from my first) but indulged in a bit of baby clothes browsing this morning and anyone else finding all plain vests/ unisex stuff sold out in small sizes?

60sPony · 09/06/2020 11:38

@DressingGown87 sorry to hear you’ve been crying and had a tough morning. Can you take a walk outside or something to see if it helps you feel better

1990shopefulftm · 09/06/2020 11:59

@60spony yes the stock levels are pretty bad, can't seem to find much.
I was planning to get a lot second hand anyway so I ve just been putting it aside for a few days when it arrives and going to put it all through the wash once the wardrobe is sorted.

KitKatKit · 09/06/2020 12:14

@DressingGown87 Oh no, sorry to hear it's been an emotional morning :( hope this afternoon is better for you.

I haven't signed up for any groups (eek!) and also haven't started buying anything! Have decided to wait until 30 weeks as I'm hoping that retail will be fully up and running by then (end July/early Aug).

Part of me wants to get buying asap, but I quite want to go and test out some prams and car seats before buying, but trying not to feel the pressure...

WaveStreet · 09/06/2020 12:51

I haven't bought much yet, just a few clothes and basics but i have no idea how many of each size to get?!

Haven't bought anything big yet but have a shortlist of prams to look at and have a good idea of how I'd like to do the nursery. Think I've decided on the tutti next to me crib too.

watersintheclouds · 09/06/2020 15:31

Hi all, after lurking in the last thread I’ve decided to join in.

I’m due 29 October and have my scan on Thursday at 20 weeks exactly. Feeling a bit anxious for that but fingers crossed everything will be fine. I seem to have had things relatively easy so far despite being considered high risk and under the consultant.

Sls668 · 09/06/2020 15:57

@waterintheclouds I’m due the day after you and have my 20 week scan the day after you too! I’m starting to get a little nervous for my scan too! The list seems to be so long of things they check for, I think it’s normal to get a little anxious beforehand! Are you finding out what you’re having?

GhostWorld · 09/06/2020 16:09

Hi everyone, I'm new to the thread, just read the last thread to catch up - all 40 pages haha. So nice to see others have the same worries, although I'm suddenly feeling very behind as I haven't brought or thought about buying anything yet! I've got my 20 week scan tomorrow, my partner can't come obviously. For those who said they wouldn't write down the sex so that it would be revealed for both of us at the same time, why is that?

Sls668 · 09/06/2020 16:27

@ghostworld unfortunately it’s policy in my trust (Leeds) not to write it down. We’ve booked a private scan together the day after as it’s my Birthday

GhostWorld · 09/06/2020 16:35

@Sls668 Oh what a shame, I might have a look at private scans but I've left it a bit late as I just assumed writing it down wouldn't be a problem! Thanks though and what a lovely birthday present for you Smile

watersintheclouds · 09/06/2020 16:44

@sls668 congratulations! I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling a little bit anxious.

We’re going to keep it a surprise, which makes us rare around here I think.
