Ignore "raboney " no idea what that means 😂

AnxiousLady1 · 27/05/2020 19:16

Thread number 7! I'm probably lucky in that I seem to have been assigned one midwife and she seems really nice. She was happy to answer all the random questions I've accumulated on my 16 week call today. No movement felt yet but not expecting to got another few weeks anyway.

wannabebump · 27/05/2020 19:17

@twinsbelly welcome! Hope you're keeping well!

Can't believe how quickly these threads are moving! X

Hi!! I am due 4th November :) how are you all feeling? So tempted to go for a private scan as the wait between 12 weeks and 20 weeks seems soooo long 😅

forestsmurf · 27/05/2020 19:34

I'm due on the 1st November with baby number 3. 20 week scan in the 12th just hoping DH can attend this one not sure what the rules will be in 2 weeks time? Might have to book a private one at 30 weeks or so.thing if he cant come again he would be so disappointed not to see the baby before birth. Been feeling the baby move for about a week now but I do know what I'm feeling for and dont notice it regularly yet.

Checking in Smile

@Pink15 I love it when autocorrect comes up with something mental that isn’t even a word!

wannabebump · 27/05/2020 20:22

@Natalie654321 it does feel forever between those two scans doesn't it! I've booked a gender scan for 19 weeks so not having to wait quite so long! X

I'm finally in the 2nd trimester!! Woohoo 14 weeks today. Have celebrated by not being sick, though not had a good day nausea wise.

I have a specific midwife and I feel lucky, she is lovely and very responsive. She encouraged me to text and she always replies very quickly. However with my first I was with the community midwives (different hospital) so never saw the same one twice.

The other HG sufferers on the thread, how you going? I'm reallllllly hoping it eases off by 20 weeks...

Fouryearslater · 27/05/2020 21:01

@filthyforfirth I hope it does start to ease for you. I’m hoping I’m over the worse, I’ve managed to mostly stop the ondansetron but I’m still on the other two drugs, of course. The constipation was getting to me more than the nausea/sickness.

BuffaloCauliflower · 27/05/2020 21:16

Sorry to be TMI, but is anyone dealing with mega discharge?! I don’t usually have much at all, a bit extra when ovulating, but it seems to just be constant at the moment, I’m soaking through pants on a regular basis 😬

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 27/05/2020 21:28

Jumping onto the new thread. Hope everyone's alright.
Finding myself feeling very tired again, but otherwise doing better.

TangBloodyFastic · 27/05/2020 21:43

Place marking !

Hope everyone ok - 2nd trimester here we come Grin

SqidgeBum · 27/05/2020 21:43

@BuffaloCauliflower I am the same! I thought I had peed my pants on a walk the other day. Not nice. But the midwife I saw today said its completely normal and its a good sign apparently.

Thanks for setting up another thread!

anon5555 · 28/05/2020 07:21

My sickness has eased since 14 weeks, but I still take the meds just in case at the moment!
I have a private scan for gender next week, really can't wait to see the baby again and hopefully find out. I've had 5 scans already due to some issues (mostly NHS) so I'm a bit addicted!! I haven't had one for nearly 2 weeks now and feels like an age.
Hopefully get to hear babies heartbeat in a few days as 16 week midwife appointment though - is that something that happens at that appointment? xxxxx

Crispaddict99 · 28/05/2020 08:02

@anon5555 I had my 16 week appointment yesterday and didn't get to hear the heartbeat. I asked and they said they don't do it as they're not always able to hear the heartbeat at 16 weeks and don't like to unsettle women if it doesn't work. They said they'll start from the 22 week appointment. But I think it's another one of those things that depends on which trust you come under. Maybe you'll be lucky and your trust will do it x

DPSawMyUsername · 28/05/2020 08:04

Morning ladies, has anyone had or been booked for an 18 week appointment? Drs rang to book me in for the phone appointment but I didn't think we had one. All my tests have comeback fine and low risk 🤷🏻‍♀️
