We’ve got exact whole names for a boy or a girl! We were pretty sure on both from when we were TTC so feel quite settled now. I’ve been testing them a lot to be sure though! Should know on Tuesday what we’re having if they behave 🤞🏻

My friend’s first 2 have the same first initial, but 3rd child has a different one and 4th (she’s pregnant now) will likely have a different one again. I think it’s fine to have two the same initial, and I don’t think it needs to be carried on.

MrsR87 · 26/06/2020 15:04

We had so many choices that we both liked for girls that we would have struggle to pick one! We only had one name combination that we liked for a boy...so looks like that decision is made for us. I just hope he looks like the name we have chosen when he arrives 😍

FilthyforFirth · 26/06/2020 15:09

I'm the opposite! Have a girls name we both love but cannot agree on a boys name. We have middle but not first. Last time round we already knew so feel behind!

NatalieH2220 · 26/06/2020 15:18

I find boys names so much harder! We picked Alex(ander) for our 3yo and having another boy. I really like Charlie but my husband isn't keen. He did suggest Sam. So far that's the only one he's suggested I don't mind but not sure I'm sold on it either.

Have been starting to feel a lot more movement the last few days (usually around mealtime it seems!) so that's helping settle my nerves as still over a week until my 20 week scan.

Fouryearslater · 26/06/2020 16:41

If you can’t quite agree on a name, I suggest a traumatic birth and then you get to call dibs 😎

We struggled with a boys name last time and he ended up with two middle names (one of them I love but is also my horse’s name and was a bit of a mouthful with the surname, the other is my surname). I’ve no idea what we’ll choose this time if it’s a boy. I’ve pretty much chosen a girl’s name but OH isn’t keen. But you know, c-section/surgery, hoping I can call dibs again 😂 we’ve not really discussed names yet.

BuffaloCauliflower · 26/06/2020 17:09

@Fouryearslater that’s certainly one way of doing it!

@NatalieH2220 if you like that style of name, how about James? Classic but actually not heard that often. Can be Jamie or Jim. Or William?

I think I’ve started feeling some movement, some definite pops and sort of bubbles. It’s hard to discern what’s baby and what’s everything else in there. I absolutely have a bump now too. Thankfully no swelling yet, my body seems reasonably comfortable with being pregnant in general touch wood. My wedding ring is also a size bigger than my engagement ring (heirloom and can’t be resized) so hopeful even if my e-ring has to come off my wedding ring won’t 🤞🏻 I’d had to be without anything.

BuffaloCauliflower · 26/06/2020 17:09

I’d hate to be*

Oatmilk1 · 26/06/2020 18:11

Haha @BuffaloCauliflower I have barely worn my rings since lockdown started and now its too hot so I can't even bear the thought!

BuffaloCauliflower · 26/06/2020 18:16

@Outmilk1 I barely notice mine are there! I notice more if I take them off. I only take them off to clean or certain bits of cooking if I’m getting my hands in

Becca65 · 26/06/2020 18:21

Had my 20 week scan at exactly 20 weeks yesterday - all looked good with the baby, and my cervix measurements are back stable, so prob just the angle that caused it to shorten by over a cm in a fortnight before! we've decided not to find out what we're having, at least for now! The sonographer I had yesterday is lovely and really worked hard to get us a footprint and hand view though which was lovely.

NatalieH2220 · 26/06/2020 18:22

@BuffaloCauliflower Thanks for the suggestions :) We do like James but used it as a middle name for our son, didn't think that one through, we could've saved it! We didn't agree last time about 3 weeks before he arrived.

I took my rings off in March when lockdown started. My wedding ring is slightly too big so with a bit of luck my fingers will be slightly fatter and it'll fit better now Grin

SqidgeBum · 26/06/2020 18:26

I really hope I dont swell because my rings are tight already. I havent taken my wedding ring off since my DH put it on my finger on our wedding day 3 years ago. I dont think it would come off easily even without swelling 😕

wannabebump · 26/06/2020 18:42

I've still got my wedding on right although it's been uncomfortable the last few days with the high temps, trying to keep it on as long as possible though!

Yep my rings are getting tight too, and definitely didn't factor this heat into my maternity clothes choices!! Here's hoping it cools down soon 🥵

So excited to see the final tally of babies haha! Definitely seems more girls than boys....

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 28/06/2020 18:56

My scan is tomorrow morning and I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight I am so excited/nervous. The baby has been moving at sporadic times during the day and I even felt a big kick/movement about 5 mins ago that made me jump! It's insane. This is my first baby and I am so overwhelmed with all the emotions, really hope tomorrow goes OK. Good luck to all the other mamas with scans this week ❤️

Pink15 · 28/06/2020 20:17

@OurLittlePumpkin1991 good luck!!

We've started a new thread now - 8! The link is a couple of posts down x

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 28/06/2020 21:32

Oh I meant to post on that one but looks like I was in the wrong tab! Thanks x

StephRae · 03/07/2020 11:14

Hi everyone, I haven’t been on here for a few weeks as I’ve been super busy at work but had my 20 weeks scan today and both babies are perfectly healthy and I’m super excited to announce I’m having a boy and a girl. Very shocked as we had a strong feeling we were having 2 more girls but over the moon to be having one of each. Now we just have to think of names ❤️

Danniijm10 · 06/07/2020 12:09

Hi all I've been using another site but everyone's over on Facebook and not talking on there.

I'm due 15th November with my 4th finally a baby girl
I have 3 boys just turned 6 4 and 2 so I will have my hands full for sure.

Still cant quiet believe I am getting a baby girl I was never really that bothered but as this was another accident we are over the moon to be getting a girl to put a stop to any more babies after this for sure. Considering being tied of him having the snip but im so reluctant for either of us to have it as we are 28 and 29 it just seems so radical but at the same time I no we have alot of fertile years ahead of us still. 🙈. 3 out of 4 have been accidents so i can't promise him there won't be any more lol.

Hope you are all having good pregnancys my spf has started showing its face i waddle like im full time already being my 4th im pretty big already my boys where 7lb.13.5oz..... 9lb 1...and 8lb 12.... so im hoping she's in the middle lol
