Adapted from the popular thread on Chat. Hoping particularly that we can support one another through pregnancy sickness, hyperemesis, varying apetites and food cravings or aversions. Let's try not to be judgy

Breakfast: brown toast and peanut butter, banana
Lunch: jacket potato with cheese and a bit of salad
Snack: several plums
Dinner: lots more salad, few bites of pizza

Breakfast: toast, fried egg and beans
Lunch: prawn linguine
Snacks: constant grapes, apples and oranges all day cuz that’s what the baby wants apparently
Dinner: mince enchiladas with guac

My appetite is finally coming back so making the most of itGrin

Annafs · 01/02/2020 19:12

However the last few weeks I survived purely on toast, apples, oranges and ready salted crisps!

Bookworm83 · 01/02/2020 19:13

Breakfast: Greek yogurt with blueberries
Lunch: ham, cheese and tomato sandwich
Snack: apple
Dinner: macaroni cheese with a mountain of salad

NameChange30 · 01/02/2020 19:14

Porridge
BBQ flavour pop chips
A few carrot sticks
A smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel
A sausage roll (not a very nice one, regretted it)
A chocolate brownie
Toast and marmite
Pizza
The rest of DS's discarded pear

What can I say, the nausea isn't so bad if I keep eating Blush

Treaclepie19 · 01/02/2020 19:38

I've not felt great today (pregnancy diarrhoea I think 😭)
So,
B- nakd bar
L- jam on toast and salt and vinegar crisps
D- waffle sandwiches 😳
S- some Ferrero rocher eggs 😳😳

Not the best food day...

LapsedVeganAcademic · 01/02/2020 20:29

I don't think I have ever yet had a best food day whilst pregnant!

Treaclepie19 · 01/02/2020 20:44

So true! Pregnancy kills a healthy diet 😂

Bezalelle · 01/02/2020 21:29

Breakfast: granola, bowl of matzoh ball soup
Lunch: two more bowls of soup and a bowl of stew
Dinner: three cheese and pickle sandwiches
Snacks: petit filous, rich tea biccies

May have a hot cross bun before bed!

10 weeks pg. The nausea is beyond a joke! I only have the stomach for very specific things, which change by the day.

23 weeks pg:

B- cup of tea and some chocolate 🤫 at about 10Am
L- cheese and tomato on toast and some sugar snap peas.
Afternoon snack- bowl of cereal, some sweets and giant choc buttons at the cinema!
T- chicken, avocado and bacon salad. Nachos

So not an amazingly healthy day, but have been busy decorating and have been to the gym and cinema. I am more consistently healthy in the week !

flissity · 01/02/2020 21:55

Can I admit something here which I wouldn’t admit in real life

Wednesday I bought a pack of 9 hot cross buns from M&S , I saw them when getting fuel. I had eaten them all by Friday night 😳😳

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/02/2020 22:06

10 weeks pregnant , and still got no appetite 😧 today’s the first day since around week 6 where I’ve eaten three ish meals due to being an impatient
Breakfast : Hospital Porridge and a cup of tea
Snack: Chip stick crisps
Dinner: Shepherds pie with a few slices of carrot and peas (didn’t eat a lot though. It was nice at least) , didn’t touch my pudding
Snack: crisps again!
Tea: jacket potato with a few beans

So bad compared to you all! 🤦🏽‍♀️😩

GaaaaarlicBread · 01/02/2020 22:08

Cheese omelette, very cheesy pizza, biscuits, milky bar yoghurt, chocolate, Doritos. It's Saturday, 1st day of six nations and I've been in the pub watching OH drink 10 pints. I'm going to eat what I want today!!!

LapsedVeganAcademic · 02/02/2020 03:05

Well, 3am and I've just had one of the little choccie muffins that DD1 and DS baked yesterday. Sorry not sorry. It helps the nausea.

@lettersbyowl your day sounds amazing ❤️❤️❤️

@itsemily I think I get the craving or just really really fancy something then eat loads of it for a few days then move onto something else!! It was smokey bacon crisps the other week, so I’ll join you in over doing it with the salt!!!

flissity · 02/02/2020 10:25

@LapsedVeganAcademic what a great thread though, makes me feel normal! When I look back, some of my days have been weird, food wise

ProbablyPertunia · 02/02/2020 10:39

Ooh I love this! My diet has been horrendous since being pregnant!
Yesterday I had:

  • bowl of curiously cinnamon
  • super noodles
  • some mini cheddars dipped in Philadelphia
  • 3 mini chupa chup lollies
  • Indian takeaway
LittleBoyJuly2020 · 02/02/2020 10:53

I'm 15 weeks pregnant. I've had really strong food aversions since week 6 which has resulted in me eating in weird patterns. For example I'll eat the same thing every day for 5 days and then I'll be totally off that and hàve to find a new meal.

This week it is white rice, chopped cucumber and salmon. All smothered with salad cream. I have this for breakfast and dinner and that's it, maybe some grapes if I'm lucky.

I know I'm eating too much salmon but in a few days I'll be completely off it so I'm just riding it out.

Week 9 I couldn't eat anything but veggie fry ups. Pregnancy is so weird!!

LapsedVeganAcademic · 02/02/2020 13:49

Yes I've always found food aversions to be stronger than the cravings. I currently can't face the thought of anything that isn't cards, cheese, fruit or salad

OP posts:
LapsedVeganAcademic · 02/02/2020 13:49

*Carbs not card, obviously.

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 02/02/2020 14:08

@LapsedVeganAcademic Yeah my food aversions trump any kind of craving. On fact, I don't really get cravings at all, it just seems to be that I need to find foods that are not repulsive to me that day.
It's actually pretty stressful sometimes because I literally have to spend hours thinking about what I can eat, it makes shopping a nightmare!

sel2223 · 02/02/2020 14:11

I'm 12 weeks and not doing very well with the normal breakfast, lunch and dinner....It's more a constant cycle of snacking 🙈

So far today I've had a ham and coleslaw sandwich, cheese and crackers, a melon and grape snack box thing and a Belgian iced bun. Now I'm craving salt!
