Hello,

Starting a new penguin huddle for those of us who've graduated from the conception boards.

As I said in the old TTC thread, getting a BFP after pregnancy loss is not necessarily a happy time so this is a safe place to vent, worry and share news (good, hopefully, or bad).

I hope you are all here for the long-haul. But you are welcome no matter how briefly.
Others who are pregnant after loss but who weren't on the original thread are of course welcome too.

My stats:
TTC since Dec 2017
Age: 31
TTC no.1
1 MMC and 3 early losses between 4-5 weeks (or, CPs, but I hate that term) all happened last year within the space of 10 months.
Currently 6+1 with 5th pregnancy

@InDreamland @moonpeace @Bluebelltulip @hayleyfx @Laney79 Please add others I may have forgotten!

Thank you for starting this thread I had been thinking about it too, I've joined the due in January thread too but don't necessarily feel I put my worries on there.

My stats:
Age: 29
DD1: 2
DD2: stillborn January 2019
Current pregnancy EDD: 15.01.20

Beaglemum93 · 09/06/2019 18:51

Thank you for making a new thread @KnitKitty. I've tried not to post much in the TTC thread but don't feel like I can post about my anxieties in the normal antenatal/pregnancy threads because I don't want to bring them down.

My stats:
Age: 25
Two previous losses: MMC last October where the baby died at 12+2 and a CP in March.
I'm currently 11+6 (I got pregnant straight after the chemical) and my 12 week scan is tomorrow afternoon. I'm completely terrified after what happened at my last 12 week scan :(

hayleyfx · 09/06/2019 18:52

Thanks for starting this thread, I feel like this will be so beneficial for us!

Hayleyfx
Diagnosed with APS blood clotting disorder. On aspirin and clexane injections.
December 2017 - MMC at 11 weeks
3 early pregnancy losses (between 4-6 weeks) in 2018
August 2018 - termination for medical reasons, my beautiful boy Charlie lost at 14 weeks due to a severe spinal tube defect ❣️

Currently 7+1 with my 6th pregnancy. Last scan was Friday and we saw the heartbeat 🥰 next scan is in a week and a half! So nervous.
Getting really sick now too, can’t keep food down! Hope it’s a good sign.

KnitKitty · 09/06/2019 19:07

Lovely to have you on board ladies.

@Bluebelltulip I didn't want to join any pregnancy groups. I was on one with my first pregnancy and when things started going pear-shaped I didn't feel supported, just judged for worrying too much. Hmm You can be open and honest here.

@Beaglemum93 Best of luck for tomorrow. We'll be holding your hand. I hope the hospital staff are lovely with you.

@hayleyfx I hadn't realised you're exactly a week ahead of me!
I hope the sickness is a good sign too.

I have my first scan on Friday. I'll be 6+6. Trying not to think about it too much but excepting the worst and hoping for the best.
I've never seen a heartbeat on a scan before, so that's the dream. But honestly if they tell me there's a pregnancy in there I'll be shocked... My head keeps convincing me that the pregnancy failed already and being on progesterone pessaries is masking a MC.

I've had a tiny bit of nausea this week, on and off, which is a first for me and briefly got me hopeful... But I've had nothing really for the last two days, which worries me.

Also, today I've been getting tiny little stabbing pains where my womb is. Just two or three times throughout the day. From reading the NHS website it sounds like it might be ligament pain?
Last night I woke up because I rolled over and I could feel my womb in the way of the movement like a big solid lump. As soon as I adjusted my position the feeling went away.

It seems a bit early to feel my uterus?
I've never experienced this before. Has anyone else had similar?

Laney79 · 09/06/2019 19:09

Thanks @KnitKitty

Here's me:

TTC since Sept 2017
Age: 39
TTC no.1
2 mmc in 2018, although had small amounts of brown loss with my second, bow. Both stopped growing approx 6 weeks and discovered at early scans at approx 9 weeks
Currently 9+2 with 3rd pregnancy. Scan at 7+5 showed healthy bub measuring 14mm and a heartbeat.
Next scan day after I get back from hol. Should be 10+5 or thereabouts.

Currently very anxious, hoping this little one is ok, just wish I had a window in there!

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:11

Oh God @BeagleMum makes me anxious just thinking about it. All the very best. xx

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:13

Sorry @Beaglemum93

Bluebelltulip · 09/06/2019 19:14

Good luck for your scan tomorrow @Beaglemum93

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:15

Can I ask has anyone me been given any early or extra scans on nhs or are you all having to go private?

KnitKitty · 09/06/2019 19:16

@rubyroot I really hope this is your rainbow. I was a mess at 4 weeks; it's all still so fresh and such a shock and a mix of anxiety and hope and everything. Best of luck with this pregnancy.

@Laney79 I hope you have a lovely holiday! Where are you/will you be?
If only there were a magic window!!!

Beaglemum93 · 09/06/2019 19:16

I've had the stabbing pains on and off @KnitKitty. I also still don't feel pregnant and don't think I truely believe there's anything there (despite 5 scans saying otherwise). I only get nausea sometimes which worries me but I'm just hoping I'm lucky and it's not a sign something is wrong.

KnitKitty · 09/06/2019 19:18

@rubyroot I am getting scanned at EPU as I was under RMC and I have uterus didelphys so they want to keep a close eye on me.

I haven't booked my booking-in appointment with the midwife yet though because I don't want to have to cancel it! If I see a heart-beat on Friday then I'll book it.

OP posts:
Beaglemum93 · 09/06/2019 19:20

@rubyroot I was told I could have one early reassurance scan on the nhs at about 7 weeks but I had bleeding so I ended up getting two on the nhs and I've paid for three privately

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:23

@KnitKitty I’ve got all sorts of twinges and pains and have done with all three of my pregnancies very early on. I think you can get these pains early on and it’s not necessarily anything to worry about.

Good luck for your scan on Friday.

I might ring drs in that case see what they say as I don’t really want to go through the booking appt thing yet.

KnitKitty · 09/06/2019 19:25

@Beaglemum93 Thanks, that's reassuring for me.
It's ironic, isn't it... Under different circumstances we'd rejoice at not having symptoms or feeling pregnant yet...

It's weird because from things I've read quite a big percentage of women don't even get any morning sickness, but from reading forums you'd think it's not normal to not experience it. Likewise with the sore boobs and sensitive nipples... on MN it reads like every women who's ever had a successful pregnancy gets sore boobs as soon as they conceive... Mine have never hurt in any of my pregnancies. It just adds to the worry that my body isn't doing what it should...

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:26

@Beaglemum93 thanks- will deffo ring drs in that case then.

I’ve never had sickness in any of my pregnancies, again nothing to worry about.

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:30

@Knitkitty quite a few of my friends had no sickness with multiple pregnancies

niamhzs · 09/06/2019 19:30

Age-21( only young I know)

TTC since June 2018
Mc- Nov 2015
Mmc- Jan 2019
Mc- May 2019
Currently around 4 weeks conceived very quickly without AF after last so can't be certain.
Fingers crossed.

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 19:32

@KnitKitty- yes sums up exactly how I feel at 4 weeks!

Bluebelltulip · 09/06/2019 19:37

I've got morning sickness and still worried things aren't progressing as they should. I think we will worry regardless. I've never had sore boobs either @KnitKitty.

I left a message for my bereavement midwife on Friday and hoping she will get back to me tomorrow. I've been trying to wait until my 12 week scan but when it came through last week it sunk in how far away it is. I'm worrying more and more so I'm hoping she can arrange an early one for me.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 09/06/2019 19:37

Thanks for the thread @knitKitty. Hope it's okay to join too, plus I really don't feel comfortable joining the Feb pregnancy thread for some weird reason. Maybe because some people would be a bit excited and I'm dubious 💁

My stats:
Age: 29
2×MMCs (July '17 and Nov '17)
DD: August '18
CP in April
Currently around 5+5 with scan on Saturday

@moonpeace- also feel nervous, I’m almost in denial that I’m pregnant. Know how you feel, like you don’t want to jinx it. Whatever is happening inside of us is already happening, so there’s not much we can do, but cross our fingers.

I had a heartbeat at 9 weeks and thought I was safe last time, at 13 weeks I found out there was fluid all round baby so I’ve learnt there’s no guarantees at any stage now.
