Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

Hi and congratulations! I'm not sure how to link to it in the app but come along and join us on the thread for May (and late April) babies on the antenatal clubs board!

loupelou7 · 27/08/2018 21:39

Hi congratulations to you both! I have also had a bfp today...Can't believe it! I think I am due may 9th all being well!! Surreal isn't it?! I can't help but worry as it's so early. It's hard not to get too excited isn't it?!
I never test before a missed period but I just sort of had a feeling! Xx

MrsReader · 28/08/2018 18:31

Hi ladies, I'm due 8 May too. Found out 2 days ago, I'm so excited!

MsHopey · 28/08/2018 18:49

How's everyone doing and feeling? Got any pregnancy symptoms yet?
@MrsReader we're due date buddies!

I'm still having some spotting which I hate because it scares me, I had it until 13 weeks pregnant with DS and he's healthy, I might just have a weak uterus lining or something, who knows? A little bit of cramps, lots of excessive sweating and hot flushes. I've got a decrease in appetite and sex drive (unlucky DH).

loupelou7 · 28/08/2018 20:56

@mshopey I've also had cramps on and off and lots of gassy/gurgly wind! I felt like I had the flu yesterday and I feel fine today.
It's funny you say about your sex drive, I feel too frightened for DH to go anywhere near there... and he is freaked out by the whole thing too haha. I'm scared of disrupting anything which is so ridiculous!
What day did you all test positive? I was only on day 26 and couldn't believe my eyes...i didn't even use fmu...it was on a frer and again on a clear and simple cheap one! I didn't even think it could show positive so early like that!

MsHopey · 28/08/2018 21:11

Yes, my belly has been making some awful gurgling noises. So loud and weird.
I got my positive in cd26 as well, which was Sunday (first picture). But I did take a picture of a test i took on Thursday CD23 (second picture) and I'm sure I can see a second line now, maybe it's because I'm more confident it should be there. But I can definitely see a super faint red line. Can you?

MrsReader · 28/08/2018 21:15

@mshopey yay, i have a due date twin!

@loupelou7 i got my positive 10DPO, which was also CD26. I have taken 4 tests since then as I'm still in disbelief!

Symptoms so far are lots of gas, stomach gurgling and a 'tight' slight crampy feeling in my stomach. I'm also massively bloated.

I rang midwife today and booked my 8 week appointment.

MrsReader · 28/08/2018 21:18

Oh and also sore boobs- forgot about those as I've had them for like 2 weeks Confused

MsHopey · 28/08/2018 21:20

Lol, got pregnancy brain already, that second picture is of a bloody ovulation test. I am silly.
I've taken a test every day and enjoyed watching the second line get darker! Still in total disbelief.
I've booked my appointment too Grin

JLB7 · 29/08/2018 06:46

Can I join too please?
Found out I am pregnant on Monday and still can't believe it!!
Also due on May the 8th and have doctors appointment next week to get this pregnancy ball rolling!
I had no idea I was pregnant (in denial trying not to get my hopes up!) until AF was three days late! Took an initial FRER test on CD14 with FMU and nothing! Then took another FRER test mid afternoon three days after AF was due (CD27 and cycles normally 24 days long, although have been all over the place this year!) and got our BFP!!
Have had no symptoms apart from sore boobs, so far. Whilst it's nice to have our own little secret with DH, It's so difficult not telling anyone yet!
Congratulations to everyone and looking forward to following you all on our pregnancy journeys! ☺️

Fizzlekatz · 29/08/2018 07:14

Congratulations everyone! I am due 5/5/19 and found out on Monday. I’m still in shock as I took a test a week previously and it was negative. I thought AF was just a bit late. Feeling bad as just got back from a trip to France where I ate all the things I shouldn’t Blush. Oh well that all changes from now!

DH doesn’t want anyone to know the news until the 12-week scan. I had to tell my best friend, which he wasnt particularly happy with but I would have burst if I hadn’t! I don’t want to shout it to the world but I’m going to find it very hard not to tell close family and friends before October.

Who has everyone told / planning to tell?

MsHopey · 29/08/2018 07:45

I've told my sister and mom, if anything bad happened I'd want them for support, also me and my sister were both TTC at the same time so we've been sharing our journey (she got her BFP today, amazing!).
DH told his mom for the same support reasons, we're telling his brother today because he still lives with DH mom and think it's hard to keep a secret inside your own house. But everyone else is going to have to wait till as her the 12 week scan.

Cat32tt · 29/08/2018 08:42

Morning Ladies can I join?

Got my BFP on Sunday @ 10dpo the line was still faint so have been testing everyday to watch it get darker.

Congratulations everyone :)

goldopals · 29/08/2018 13:05

Hi! I got my BFP today and think I'm due on the 10th of May. I've just moved to another state, don't have a doctor yet and have lost my Medicare card so it could be interesting getting an appointment.

I'm not telling anyone yet; my period is actually due tomorrow so it is very early days.

MsHopey · 29/08/2018 17:51

I feel like I'm wishing the weeks away.
I loved feeling the kicks, and I'm overweight so my bump looked way better than my current saggy fat belly.
But I just want the 12 week scan here so I know baby is safe and healthy, then the 16 week mark will be my private health and gender scan, then 20 weeks we'll know baby is still processing wonderfully.
I don't like these early days where I'm scared I'll see blood every time I go to the toilet, or just waiting on edge for the next 8 weeks incase something bad happens.

loupelou7 · 29/08/2018 18:00

Congrats to you all, how exciting! It's really nice to be able to speak to other people about it! I'm also so relieved others are having similar symptoms and thoughts as me. @mshopey I feel the same everytime going to the loo. I am on holiday at the moment and done a swim in a freezing lake and I got out thinking omg maybe I shouldn't have done that! But it was fine!
This is my first time pregnant... When do you have to see the Dr? I was going to wait until 6 weeks just in case?!

Fizzlekatz · 29/08/2018 18:10

I’ve booked a doctors appointment for next Friday which I think will place me around the 6 weeks mark. I’ve had a rotten cold this week and was so tempted to take paracetamol but nhs website said not to take any painkillers at all if possible so I resisted.

I agree it’s really lovely to have people to talk through the journey with!

MsHopey · 29/08/2018 18:14

@loupelou7 I think they like to see you around the 6 week mark. Your first appointment is normally an hour or so long as there is quite a bit of paperwork. I booked mine Tuesday and the earliest they had free was 20th September, I'll be 7 + 1, so I'd phone sooner rather than later. I'm not even in a very busy area either.

Fizzlekatz · 29/08/2018 18:25

@mshopey wow an hour? Are you in the UK?

MsHopey · 29/08/2018 18:50

@Fizzlekatz yes, I'm in the UK.
My DS is only 12mo and I had an hour long appointment when I was pregnant with him. All other appointments were less than 15 minutes.

Fizzlekatz · 29/08/2018 19:00

@mshopey I had no idea it would take that long. I think I’m just booked in for a normal 10 minute slot. Do you think I need to let them know what it’s for in advance?

MsHopey · 29/08/2018 19:08

@Fizzlekatz maybe ring up and double check?
I specifically said I'd just found out I was pregnant, I was just over 4 weeks and needed a booking in appointment. There's lots of questions to ask and a lot of paperwork, it's dull but it has to be done. They give you a blue pregnancy book which you then take to all scans, midwife appointments and any other pregnancy related stuff. But this book has a lot of information that needs filling in by the midwife which is why it's such a long appointment.

Fizzlekatz · 29/08/2018 20:04

Thank you @mshopey I will do that.

MsHopey · 30/08/2018 17:29

Everyone's gone quiet. How are you all doing?
I've been watching my line get darker, so excited that everything is going smoothly so far.
