Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

Thanks @ttcat32 I'll give that a try!

Ntwiner · 03/09/2018 13:30

Hi I also am due in May only about 6 weeks. Also my 1st fell pregnant very quickly after only trying for a 2 months! All happened quicker than expected but an amazing thing to happen we are very happy Smile

isl7 · 03/09/2018 13:35

I’m due May 1st! So happy after TTC for a few months.

I’m a bit concerned though as I haven’t felt any symptoms at all. Had two positive tests but from everything I’ve heard I should have nausea, sore boobs etc by now?! Is it normal to not feel anything at this stage or should I be worried?

expatlife · 03/09/2018 13:38

@goldopals I'm an Aussie but not currently in Australia (if my username didn't give it away!)

Got my BFP after 16 months of trying and am so happy. We were about to start IVF this month, so such a relief!! Due on 11 May and will be our second.

Ntwiner · 03/09/2018 13:39

Hey I've just found out that I'm due in May 2019! I'm very happy about this just checking that period type pain and bloating is normal? I've been getting some really dark brown like blood/discharge as well. Looking it up it seems normal just nice to check properly Smile

Pinky333777 · 03/09/2018 14:53

Hi all. Can I join the thread please?
We had a bfp today after a week of negative tests. I'm almost a week late for my period. I'm sure last time I got a positive test earlier on than this.
I'm so excited SmileSmileSmile
We've been ttc number 2 for a few months now as we (I) always wanted a small age gap. Our current big bundle of joy is 5 months so there'll be about 13 and a half months between them.
My partner is happy nervous (understandably), I'm absolutely over the moon Grin
I need a make my booking in appointment with the midwife yet. But I just used an online app and that's calculated the due date as May 7th x

Pinky333777 · 03/09/2018 14:55

@Is17
I had no symptoms all the way through with my first. I remember feeling like I might be getting ready for my period, and have felt the same this time too, so far x

MrsReader · 03/09/2018 16:29

@isl7 congrats! I read that morning sickness starts as early as 6 weeks, but yours may just come a little later! I think we only need to worry if we get bad pains or lots of blood

MrsReader · 03/09/2018 16:31

Hi to all newbies 👋🏻 congratulations 😄

Sparkles1992 · 03/09/2018 17:19

@loupelou7 that's exactly how I'm feeling, I've definitely lost weight. Every morning I've got an anxious stomach and I'm never hungry. I think it's nerves! I seem to feel better later on in the eve/night after I've had a word with myself about being nervous!

em254 · 03/09/2018 17:42

Hi Ladies! I’ve been undecided whether or not I should join this thread. I got my BFP on Sat, but today I had some spotting and light bleeding when I wiped, been cramping on and off and had spotting again this evening. I took a test after about a 2.5 hour wait from last wee..the tests are two days apart (top one Sat and bottom one today. I would have expected today’s to be a lot darker? Any thoughts? I’m starting to worry this isn’t a sticky bean

Hello everybody,

Congratulations to you all :)

I'm thrilled to be joining this thread but very anxious as well... Due date is looking like May 4th. It's my 2nd pregnancy but the first one sadly ended in an ectopic pregnancy. Took us 3 years to conceive again. Not that easy with just one tube :( We actually had an appointment with the fertility clinic for next week after hounding my GP for a referral. Finally get one before the summer and Sept was earliest slot available with fertility doc. But lo and behold, BFP last week :)

I rang my local EPU to get an early scan and I'm booked on Sept 12th. If I got my dates right, I should be by then 6+3. They didn't want to see me earlier as too early to see anything. We need to make sure the little peanut actually implanted in the right place this time. I'm doing my utmost to take it day by day but the wait is killing me. Every twinge makes me super worried.

Anyone else in the same situation by any chance?

ttcat32 · 03/09/2018 18:10

@em254 the bottom line does look darker and also not fmu so it does look like there is progression. Could it just be spotting? My tests just gradually got a little bit darker each time ( prob why I kept doing them) I think some people have more hcg depending on when they implant x

em254 · 03/09/2018 19:13

@ttcat32 really hoping it’s just implantation bleeding and I’m being super paranoid 🤞 I had a little implantation bleeding with DS 1 but this seems a wee bit more. These first few weeks are always so scary!

ttcat32 · 03/09/2018 19:28

@em254 definitely!! Am constantly overanalysing every little twinge!

Does anyone know the rules on hair dying? This is my first so not sure of the rules but don't want to ask my hairdresser just yet as would prefer not to tell her this soon

MsHopey · 03/09/2018 19:47

@ttcat32
I'm pretty sure it's fine. Their are chemicals in the hair dye, but so little gets absorbed into the skin it's similar to pesticides on fruit and veg and lots of other normal every day things we encounter.

em254 · 03/09/2018 19:57

I think hair dye is fine, quite a few of my friends & work colleagues have died their hair when pregnant

Mumof4J · 03/09/2018 20:04

Hi ladie I’m wondering if any of u can help me at all. I’ve just joined and don’t know where to post about this so hoping someone can help. Congratulations to all u ladies that are pregnant 😊

I am for on on Saturday and yesterday I started bleeding but Brown and pink in colour.
I did have unprotected sex around the time of ovulating.
I am now on day 9 since ovulating, I did a pregnancy test this morning which was negative but I thought I could see a very VERY faint line. My cycles are 33 days and I’ve never come in early before has anyone ever had this? Tia xx

MsHopey · 03/09/2018 20:06

@Mumof4J
Hey, it could always be implantation bleeding. I had it 6dpo till around 10dpo. I didn't get my BFP until 14dpo. And cycle day 26 (out of a 28 day cycle). If wait until your missed period, or at least a bit longer before testing again.
I bled a little bits about twice a day for 4 days and then it disappeared.

Mumof4J · 03/09/2018 20:15

@MsHopey thanks so much for replying hun I was thinking it maybe that but just feel like I need peoples opinions coz feel like I'm going mad today

Redken24 · 03/09/2018 20:44

I think they recommend waiting til your second trimester for hair dying 🤗 but I'm pretty sure last time I had it done with a patch test before it.

MrsReader · 03/09/2018 20:53

I'm wondering about highlights done with fools. As the dye doesn't touch the scalp will it be ok or should I wait till week 13??

MrsReader · 03/09/2018 20:54

Ffs! *FOILS 😆

Fizzlekatz · 03/09/2018 21:04

@isl7 - I’m exactly the same. Absolutely zero symptoms. I’m quite happy not to be experiencing morning sickness and am keeping my fingers crossed it stays this way xx

ttcat32 · 04/09/2018 08:26

Thanks @MsHopey ! I'm the same re the foils, normally get a toner afterwards which is the bit that worries me as it's going straight on, if I need to wait till 13 weeks it's not going to be pretty!
