Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

@sparkles1992, we decided to keep the gender a surprise! Due May 8th also with our first baby. We've got the 20 weeks scan mid December and we'll ask to get a few prints. We'll probably be poring over them for months trying to figure out the sex!

Out of curiosity, do you have a bit of a bump already? I can't believe at 15 weeks I'm already wearing maternity jeans. I'm quite small and petite so I figure bump would show on the early side but blimey, it's already pretty obvious!! Scares me to think the size I'll be in 5 months at this rate!

iforgotwhatiwasgoingtosay · 15/11/2018 12:05

My skin is dreadful - so spotty, been using salcylic acid from the ordinary as it was recommended and it has helped quite a lot and is pretty cheap too!
Had my second scan yesterday (Nuchal), had an early scan at 7w6 days and yesterday should have been 12w 6days but they have put me at 13w4! Baby is perfect! Have a private gender scan on 8th December Grin absolutely can't wait to start shopping !

Sparkles1992 · 15/11/2018 21:14

Aww that's lovely @LeslieLR ! I'm too impatient and I want to buy some colour, we found out today we are having a baby boy! I can't wait, roll on May! I also have a huge bump, I'm tall but slim and it really shows. I too was very shocked at how quickly I have a bump though! Trying to embrace the changes Smile

alienm · 16/11/2018 14:23

I'm due 6th May, bit of a tummy, but no-one else would know it was a bump. Only one pair of jeans that fit (because they have Lycra), so have got a couple of pairs of maternity trousers, one jeans and one for work.
Now told most people, just a couple of friends we haven't seen yet, we want to tell people directly rather than through social media.

thatshabbychick · 18/11/2018 08:05

Hi @Tayel. I've got dreadful skin at the moment too. I normally suffer with hormonal acne when I'm not pregnant, but it comes and goes with my cycle. Since I've been pregnant I feel like I've had acne non stop! I've already had 2 boys and didn't suffer any acne with them, so I'm wondering if it could potentially mean that I'm having a girl and my hormones are a bit different! It's so annoying having bad skin isn't it? I really want to go makeup free, but I have to cake my face in foundation to cover up all the spots 🙈

thatshabbychick · 18/11/2018 08:11

@Sparkles1992 We find out the gender at a private scan next Saturday- I'm so excited! I love finding out before delivery, because it means we can prepare ourselves, physically and mentally! We already have two boys and I really don't mind if the third is a boy or girl (although everyone assumes it's going to be a girl or that we want it to be a girl 🙄). I just want to know so that I know whether I need to buy some girly bits or not!x

Sparkles1992 · 18/11/2018 16:44

Aww enjoy your scan @thatshabbychick it's lovely that you have no preference! I would love one of each one day. I will prob have a big gap though depending on how the labour goes haha. Let us know what you're having when you find out & good luck! I can't wait for my 20 wk scan now.

insideoutoutsidein · 19/11/2018 12:51

@thatshabbychick I am wondering if I am having a boy because of all the different symptoms I am having with this pregnancy (I had no symptoms with my first one - a girl). It would be interesting to find out if this is true! My scan isn't till mid December so have a bit of a wait. But definitely interested to find out what you are having and if your inklings are correct.

Noodella18 · 19/11/2018 22:56

Omg... I think my morning sickness might FINALLY have stopped!!!!! Hurrah for 15 weeks!!!

Sparkles1992 · 19/11/2018 23:15

I didn't be sick this morning either @Noodella18 🙌 fingers crossed!!

thatshabbychick · 20/11/2018 20:46

@insideoutoutsidein It's so frustrating not knowing isn't it?! I've read that differing symptoms have nothing to do with the gender and that it's just totally different with each pregnancy. It just seems strange that my first two pregnancies were incredibly similar and they were both boys and that I feel so different this time around. It may just be because I'm a bit older or my hormones are different this time around, we shall see! I've been having the weirdest food cravings/aversions too. Last week all I wanted was ham, sausages etc and I don't usually eat pork or any processed kinds of meats?! Then this week, the thought of ham makes me want to be sick 😂🙈🙈

SpannerH · 21/11/2018 09:52

Hi all! Had my dating scan yesterday. Due 23rd May (further on than I originally thought!) Baby was too long to do the downs test so got to have a blood test at 16 week. Apart from baby being lazy not wanting to move into an appropriate position everything was amazing! I wanted to share with you my scan photo, I think it looks so clear! Got dad's nose, everyone is saying looks like a boy in face (god help if it's a girl Grin)

OliveSeaTurtle · 27/11/2018 02:27

Hi all! :)

Congratulations to everyone!

I'm due May 18th, can't wait!

It's a shame a group of us May-Due Expectant mother's couldn't meet up for a hot chocolate or something. Maybe when we're further along, in Jan or Feb? Crazy idea I know, but I'd love some Mum-to-be friends! I'm in Greenwich, South East London :)

blh23 · 27/11/2018 08:17

Hi Olive,

Congrats! I was originally due early May but scan put me back to April 29th but no doubt it will be a May baby. I'd also love to meet some mum friends, I'm Nottingham based! ❤️

Kianbaby123 · 27/11/2018 13:23

Good luck to everyone I hope you all enjoy your pregnancies x

PregoBaker · 28/11/2018 21:03

Congrats everyone! So exciting to hear everyone's getting they're scans/genders. Soo happy for you all Grinxxx

CeeCee88 · 30/11/2018 11:28

@bumblebee39 sorry, completely meant to ask how you got on at your appointment and scan? I'm guessing you'll have had both by now?

All went well with ours, now officially due 31.05.19 and just waiting to hear back from NT test. I'm guessing as we've not heard anything yet that's good news?

Has anyone bought any maternity wear yet? I'm a bit at a loss as to where to start.

Ask1984 · 02/12/2018 09:37

Hello lovely ladies! Due may 16th 🙈 so excited for number two 🎉🎉
So we had our 16 week sex scan and we got told it what the baby was but...what are everyone's thoughts as I'm not completely convinced based on this picture...
So far this pregnancy has been completely different to my first, extreme tiredness, nausea, in the first trimester and now I have horrible back aches and what feels like PGP 😩 all worth it though 💕

Tayel · 07/12/2018 18:36

@ask1984 im not good at scans but i would say boy?? X

LeslieLR · 21/12/2018 11:27

Hello ladies,
Hope you're all doing well?
We had our 20 weeks scan on Weds, can't believe I'm already half way through!! Baby is VERY active and all organs/limbs are just right.
For the past week or so, I've been feeling so many kicks it's unreal. The evenings are especially fun!

Physically, I barely recognise my body already... my boobs have at least doubled in size and I have a clear bump now. Less fun is that my belly has gone hairy pretty much overnight! Did not expect that...

How about you ladies? I hope pregnancy is treating you well and all your babies are thriving! xx

blh23 · 21/12/2018 11:45

Hello hello! I had 20 week scan last week and all is well, she was sucking her little thumb away. Been feeling her kick for the last two weeks now but getting really strong, especially in the evenings! Hope everyone is feeling fab! xo

Tayel · 21/12/2018 12:41

So lovely!
Im 18 weeks and having a girl!
Not felt movement yet but my placenta is at the front so the midwife said i probably wont feel much until about 24 weeks because she will kick the placenta before i feel it :(
Xx

SpannerH · 21/12/2018 16:21

Hi! I'm 18 weeks now. Having a little girl! Haven't felt movement yet but belly feels huge already! Haha. I love reading about everyone else's experiences. I hope I feel her soon! Xx

Mummyto2x · 21/12/2018 17:30

Congratulations!
I'm not may but I am June 4th however my first came early so I'm open to being late May or early June haha Smile

goldopals · 22/12/2018 04:17

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and everything looks normal. He's moving a lot and showing attitude already
