Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

@loupelou7 I did get carried away the first time, that's why I've got so much stuff left over! Brand new bottles, blankets, some toys and some clothes!
I had a 16 week gender scan last time, so I think I'm going to do the same again. That was if it's a girl I'll know I need to start looking at clothes, and if it's a boy DH has to go in the loft.
I knew I wanted another one with a small age gap so I really do have everything. Like the bean bags, baby bath, swing, playmat.
I still can't believe I'm growing another baby.
I'm still so excited, in shock and over the moon!

newmumFeb17 · 31/08/2018 19:56

Hi all, can I join? Just discovered I'm pregnant with baby number 2, due date 8th May. My DD is 18 months old. Exciting!

MrsReader · 31/08/2018 20:09

Hi @newmumFeb17, I'm 8 May too 😄

newmumFeb17 · 31/08/2018 20:15

Hi @MrsReader 🙂
Congratulations! It seems like a very long way away, doesn't it!

loupelou7 · 31/08/2018 20:34

Hi @newmumfeb17 Grin

Just wondering, is anyone else is getting flu like feelings? Hot but cold and shivery?! I've had it last 2 nights running now, I don't think I have any signs of infection, I am hoping it's a normal pregnancy symptom

Tinybean4 · 31/08/2018 20:41

Hi all I’m due May 8th too!

Fizzlekatz · 31/08/2018 20:44

@loupelou7 yeah I had flu like symptoms a few days ago and still have a cold. I read if you’re pregnant you’re more likely to pick up colds etc. It’s hard when you don’t want to take any painkillers etc!

loupelou7 · 31/08/2018 21:25

Thanks @fizzlekatz it always seems to come in the evening I get really hot and achey like I've got flu! Yeah exactly, I didn't know whether to pop a paracetamol or not in case I had a temperature but I think it is probably just another bizarre pregnancy symptom! Corr do we really have 9 months of this worry haha, mind you id rather have this than not!!

Sparkles1992 · 31/08/2018 22:11

I've been looking in the shops today it's so exciting Smile I didn't buy anything but only because the gender neutral stuff isn't as nice as the pinks or blues! I'm scared to buy too because it's so early, I'm a bad worrier, I don't think that's going to change any time soon Sad

I've also been sneezing like mad which I'm not sure if it's pregnancy related Confused

8th of may seems to be a popular date!

MsHopey · 01/09/2018 06:30

Welcome all the new comers.
My worst symptom at the moment is my digestive system.
I've been waking up every morning with cribbling cramps, that turn out to trapped wind, or the need to go to the toilet.
But it terrifies me every morning because I worry I'm losing the baby. I looked at reassurance scans local to me and they're around £100 which I just don't have for that at the moment with Christmas coming up.

user1496146479 · 01/09/2018 07:52

Got my bfp on Wednesday. Baby number 4 also. Not many symptoms yet just tired & tender boobs! Due 8th May too!

Monica2005 · 01/09/2018 09:00

I just found out I'm pregnant, due 12th may. Day before my birthday!

MrsReader · 01/09/2018 09:09

Congrats ladies 🎉

Fizzlekatz · 01/09/2018 11:24

Anyone else noticed changes to their skin? Mine is usually so spotty and oily. Now I have dry patches and no spots. Secretly hoping that pregnancy will cure my acne for good Grin

Sparkles1992 · 01/09/2018 11:37

@MsHopey I'm exactly the same, I have wind every morning and stomach ache and every time I eat I have to go the loo! Maybe it's a nervous stomach? I'm going to get a reassurance scan at the end of September, they aren't £100 where I live though x

loupelou7 · 01/09/2018 12:17

Congrats newbies Smile
@frizzlekatz me too! I had a few days of oily spotty skin and now it's all gone and even quite dry. I'm sure my skin is darker too?! Is that even a thing?!

MsHopey · 01/09/2018 17:32

Hey everyone.
Still not processed it even though I've known for nearly a week.
I feel like these first few weeks are the danger zone and I just want to get through them as fast and safely as possible.
But I've got lots of things to look forward to. Booking in appointment on 20th September. Then it'll be my 12 weeks scan, then private gender scan at 16 weeks, then 20 week scan.
That's when it all goes quiet but I'll still get to hear the heartbeat at the midwives.

Fizzlekatz · 01/09/2018 17:42

Hi @mshopey - totally, there’s so much to look forward to. I’m going to try and enjoy the journey :)

MsHopey · 01/09/2018 17:49

I only want 2 kids. And I already have DS, so I do need to calm down and enjoy my pregnancy because if all goes to plan it will probably be my last. I don't particularly want to waste most of it worrying.

loupelou7 · 01/09/2018 18:19

@mshopey I think we all feel like this, it's hard not to. The days seem to be going by soo slowly! I just keep trying to tell myself from the statistics I've read there is about an 80% chance it will all be fine and about 20% that it wont...the odds are on our side!

I still don't feel like this is real! Shock

MsHopey · 01/09/2018 19:18

It's just so hard.
I want everything to be okay, I'm healthy in myself but overweight if I'm honest, I've seen a lot healthier people than me have complications and it just scares me. I was trying to lose weight before getting pregnant but I'm shit at it, and I got pregnant a lot faster than I was expecting (i was hoping coming off hormonal contraception would help with the weight loss).
So I keep thinking about how crap i am, DS is super healthy and we didn't have much trouble pregnancy wise (they said he was too small and then 4 weeks later too big according to scans but I know they can be very off anyways). I know statistics are on my side but it's so hard not to stress, and even then I'm stressing that stress is bad for the baby!

newmumFeb17 · 01/09/2018 19:21

@MsHopey I know how you feel! I feel exactly the same at the moment, I know I'm being irrational but can't help it! Don't have any wise words, just wanted to say you aren't alone!

MsHopey · 01/09/2018 19:50

I'll just leave these here.
Alot of people recommend pregnancy yoga, it sounds like a good idea, but possibly more stressful than relaxing with a toddler running around 🙈

Hi ladies! I found out yesterday I'm pregnant! Smile I am really excited... but can wait to experience some symptoms really! I'm due the 9th May. It's really nice to have people to talk about this!

MrsReader · 01/09/2018 20:19

Thanks @MsHopey I'll try to follow that advice!
