Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

@littlehelp I've got two step daughters and with this being my first baby it's strange having to think how we will encompass them all!

@donna474 I've just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant with my first! 😍
So excited after trying since the start of the year, thought it was never going to happen 🙈
How are you feeling? I'm 5 weeks +3 but feel absolutely fine 😊

donna474 · 13/08/2018 18:18

That's great @Unicorn234, congratulations. We only found out last night, I wasn't actually planning on even testing this month, was just going to wait to until AF came so it was a big surprise to get a BFP! I'm 3weeks +5days and I've had an awful cold and cough this last week and my head has been killing me today. Reluctant to take paracetamol though if I can.

@donna474 awww thank you 😊congratulations to you guys also.
I hadn't even really tried this month 😂 the only reason I tested was because I didn't come on. Typical isn't it lol. I'm so looking forward to the next few months.. scans, getting a bump 🙊

donna474 · 14/08/2018 09:02

@Unicorn234 they do say that when you don't get obsessed it works. I went to the doctors yesterday and they've sent off the notification to midwife so now I just need to wait for the midwife to contact. Think we're going to go for a early scan at 7 weeks just for reassurance

Been waiting for an April thread to appear :).
I found out on Friday that we're expecting our third baby, it was planned but am still a little scared about coping with 3! I think I'm 4 + 5

How are you all feeling?

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 14/08/2018 12:34

I found out on Saturday (well, 4am Sunday - I couldn't wait). We weren't trying, just "seeing what happened" so it's a bit of a shock. First baby, I'm 29 and will be 30 before it arrives. Super excited and so daunted. DH is wierdly calm and ready.

No proper symptoms yet and no sickness. Just a "full" feeling downstairs and tender boobs. And a late period.

I think I'm about 6 weeks but booked Dr's tomorrow when I will hopefully find out for sure.

unicornxo · 14/08/2018 15:29

Hi a

I've found out I'm pregnant with my first and I'm 4 weeks 5 days. Feeling a bit worried after a MMC in June, but fingers crossed all will be ok this time.

How are you all feeling?

donna474 · 14/08/2018 15:39

@kettleonplease I've got two step daughters who live with us half the week so although this is my first bio child I'm unsure how having a 4 and 6 year old around in the chaos will be so feeling your fear with throwing a newborn in the mix!

donna474 · 14/08/2018 15:41

@ArchbishopOfBanterbury this was the first month I was super relaxed over it all and had the 'if it happens it happens' mentality. Think that's why I'm a bit apprehensive at the moment, feels like there's a lot to take in and with it being so early I don't want to get my hopes up and plan too much. Thinking of having an early scan at 7 weeks for reassurance as doubt I can wait till 12 weeks! I'm full of a cough and cold which apparently can happen as immune system is changing so I feel pretty rubbish, definitely more bloated than normal too

donna474 · 14/08/2018 15:42

@unicornxo sorry to hear about that, fingers crossed this works out for you. How are you feeling about it all?

unicornxo · 14/08/2018 15:53

@donna474
I'm feeling ok I think. I woke up yesterday with shoulder pain and was so paranoid as I kept googling ectopic. But today it has eased and just aches where my OH massaged it last night so I think I had just slept funny.

Last time I had pains early on and was having internal scans from 4 weeks and found out at 7 weeks it was a MMC. I don't want any internal scans this time. We are just going to book an early scan between 7 and 8 weeks just to put my mind at rest.

How are you?

Unicorn234 · 14/08/2018 18:59

Hey guys.. I'm really confused how will the doctor work out my due date? Because I've worked it out to be 5 weeks +4
But last night I used a due date calculator online and because my cycles ranged between 33-37 days it said I was only like 4 weeks 😭

Lyndsj90 · 14/08/2018 19:17

Hia
Found out on Friday I'm pregnant, think I am 4 weeks 5 days! This is my second but my daughter is now 11 so it's like it's all new to me. Not having any symptoms atm is that normal because I'm only a few weeks?

donna474 · 14/08/2018 20:06

@Unicorn234 I think it's just done from the first day of your last period regardless of how long your cycles are. I have short cycles so found out very early. I went to the doctor and she worked it out for me based on my last period
@unicornxo would 7 weeks be too early or a scan or do you think it would be ok? Are you going with 7 or 8? I'd have one now if I could!!
@Lyndsj90 I can imagine it will be like starting from scratch again with an 11 year old. I don't have any real symptoms that I could put down to pregnancy, just full of cold and I do seem to get sudden hunger pangs come on from nowhere

Hey
Congratulations everyone!
I also found out at the weekend after 6 tests as I couldn’t quite believe it! 4+5 I think!
Also feel horrendous at the moment and hoping it’s not started how it means to go on! 😂

Unicorn234 · 14/08/2018 21:41

@donna474 okay great thank you 😊 I hope I am further along then what the calculator thing said, I'm feeling so impatient 😂🙈

@Blgb welcome and congratulations to you too 😊 sorry to hear your feeling rubbish, I feel absolutely fine at the moment but my friends have been saying 'that could soon change' 😂

donna474 · 14/08/2018 22:25

I'm currently off work as on summer holidays but dreading going back to work if I'm feeling nauseous. How's everyone going at work?

OP posts:
kettleonplease · 14/08/2018 22:46

@Lyndsj90 can you have a dating scan? That's the only way to properly tell, ask your dr if you can have one? The midwife readjusted my due date with my 1st on account of me having very short cycles

donna474 · 15/08/2018 10:32

Are dating scans done before 12 weeks? Are these the private ones you can book?

OP posts:
unicornxo · 15/08/2018 10:34

@donna474
I've read you can see the heartbeat between 6-7 weeks so I'm going to try and wait between 7 and 8 so I can see more.

donna474 · 15/08/2018 10:56

I'm thinking of booking one on the weekend when I'm 7+3 so we can see more. It's going to be a LONG 3 weeks though!
