Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

@lisaloo15 glad the wedding went well! Didn’t know you can’t have haggis... noooo! I love having it on Burns night haha.

Ok I think a few of us are in the boobs-are-rocks club. DH keeps trying to squeeze them and play with them and they’re sheer agony Angry even just brushing against is sore! But mainly my right one. Maybe that will be the better feeder haha. Who’s planning on bottle / breast? I want to give BF a chance but am under no illusions that it may be too hard. Ps. Along with current arguments online I promise I’m not trying to offend anyone haha. I don’t judge how you feed you baby, just curious!

Unicorn234 · 19/08/2018 08:34

@Lisaloo15 I've got a wedding on Saturday and pre ordered pate so me and my partner are going to have to do a cheeky swap as he's got soup 🙊

@MrsBonnie I think I am going to bottle feed. I know it's my baby and when the time comes I may feel differently but the thought of a baby sucking on my nipple just freaks me out a little lol

donna474 · 19/08/2018 09:01

@Chivari it was sent off last Monday but I didn't have much faith in the doctor I spoke with. Have got phone consultation with my usual doctor tomorrow so going to ask her about how long it takes etc and if I should call myself. Will probably call hospital midwife if needed.
@MrsBonnie my partner was desperate to tell my parents more than me! my folks have said they'll buy the pram and my friend has given me her cot bed that she's just got rid of, narrows down the list of expensive things! I plan on trying BF but if it doesn't work than I won't beat myself up, also would like to be able to pump so SO can feed too.
I'm very small breasted and have constant sore boobs, my youngest SD was giving me cuddles yesterday and kept using her head against my chest to propel herself around, could have screamed!

@MrsBonnie I def want to BF and I am determined to do it! Lol I think it will be hard but want to persevere as I know eventually it gets easier

Lisaloo15 · 19/08/2018 09:22

I'm going to bottle feed, I have absolutely nothing against breast feeding at all and fully support others who wish to but for me personally I just don't fancy it much! Joining with you all on the boob front, even trying to get comfy in bed is hard and they feel like they have grown loads already Shock I currently also just want to eat bacon. Like all the time haha!

CrystalBlaze · 19/08/2018 10:33

My boobs are getting more painful by the minute! Going to try and keep dragging myself to the gym though.

Will give bfing a go I think but am fully open minded and will end up doing whatever is best for both of us I guess.

Chivari · 19/08/2018 15:27

Anyone else finding their clothes are already getting tight?! 🙈

donna474 · 19/08/2018 15:32

@Chivari I am rocking a fully loaded bloated belly today. Even my Asda elasticated jeggings aren't covering anything!

OP posts:
CrystalBlaze · 19/08/2018 15:50

Yes I've got ridiculous bloating. And can't stop weeing!

Chivari · 19/08/2018 16:05

@donna474 @CrystalBlaze I have a couple of pairs of my favourite Levi's - wore a pair today and they were quite uncomfortable around my stomach. Usually they fit like a glove and are the comfiest things ever. Think I need to purchasing some of these Asda leggings!

jellybeann · 20/08/2018 02:10

I am definitely hoping to breastfeed if my baby and I are able to - but I am a University student on a very intense course so I’m not sure for how long I will be able to keep it up :(

I definitely can’t comfortably fit into my jeans already! I don’t think my diet is helping though, my nausea is so bad at the moment that the only things I can stomach are salt and vinegar crisps (if I eat them really really slowly) and plain pasta!

foreverhopeful7 · 20/08/2018 08:17

Hi all- can I join, got my BFP last week (due around 21 April). Still can't believe it as we had been TTC for a while. Feel like I have been in a dream these last few days! I have v sore nipples, heavy breasts and starting to get tiredness in the evenings. I had some light spotting last week but I hope that is okay. I'm going to also take a test a week I think like some of the others here for assurance. Not seen my GP yet as just moved areas so still waiting to get through the registration process and I also need to self refer to a hospital so just figuring out where to go. Congratulations to you all- here's to healthy and happy pregnancies! x

MrsBonnie · 20/08/2018 08:56

@foreverhopeful7 woohooo! Congratulations to you Grin I’m with you on the tiredness... exhaustion all the time! I’ve been going to sleep by 9pm which is sooo early for me haha.

@jellybeann hats off to you for doing this at uni. Hopefully they’ll be accommodating and you can work around what’s best for you and baby.

I have my booking in appt at 11 today. Excited / nervous!

unicornxo · 20/08/2018 09:27

Morning all how's everyone doing? I'm feeling so anxious today as this is around the time I had my MMC in June, but I'm feeling exhausted and have done all weekend so hoping it's a good sign. Has anyone got any early scans booked?

donna474 · 20/08/2018 10:12

I'm feeling a bit anxious today as read a thread on a Facebook page about people with cramps on one side and it being ectopic. Every evening from
7-11pm I get cramp like sensations (not painful just uncomfortable) on my left side. Now I'm freaking out that it's ectopic

@donna474

My dear, reading online can be your best friend and your worst enemy. Please try not to worry and stress - when you have your BI appointment definitely mention it to the midwife and see about an early scan. I know there’s a place near me that does them for £40 which isn’t much. I’m thinking of having one if the MW doesn’t offer me one. I’m probably 80% anxious and 20% excited. Which is a real shame! It’s like we can’t fully be happy until we know everything’s ok Sad praying for lots of healthy safe babies though.

@unicornxo so sorry you had a MMC. I can’t imagine the worries going through you! I just tell myself that as many horror stories as you hear, babies are born every day healthy and happy, so why shouldn’t it be my turn? The day we hear the heartbeat will be absolutely bliss!!

donna474 · 20/08/2018 10:25

@MrsBonnie I wasn't really concerned until I read about it! Ignorance is bliss sometimes! I've got an early scan booked in for 7+3, only 4+5 so don't think a scan would show anyway. Trying to call midwife today to book in but I think Shrewsbury only has one midwife by the sounds of things!

Can I join you all? I found out 2 weeks ago we are expecting on 19th April!!

I have a 10 year old so this is all new again to me!!

As for symptoms, I feel weird. I have like a constant nausea feeling and very spaced out. Hoping this passes! Anyone else have this? Also finding it very difficult to keep a secret as I’m in the military and have to do compulsory PT 😩😩. I’m completely fine going to the gym by myself but I don’t want to risk doing the group stuff. Boobs sore here too!!

FSlater · 20/08/2018 11:44

Loving all your updates! I’m only 4+4 so my symptoms aren’t overbearing yet. Has anyone else found that it’s their nipples that are painful rather than their whole boob? Boobs are okay - nipples are SO painful!
Also keep getting intermittent period cramps which really really freaks me out and makes me anxious.
Also SO SO bloated it’s unreal 😂 x

MrsBonnie · 20/08/2018 12:30

Just out of the midwife appointment! She gave me a due date of 15th April but that may well change when I have my scan.

I asked her about cramps and she said unless I’m doubled over in pain / lost blood she didn’t think I should be worried.

I came out carrying trillions of paperwork (books, leaflets, info sheets etc.) typical first time Mum I will read every page eagerly haha! One annoying thing is that my doctor surgery has two midwife clinics depending on where you live and I had been sent to the wrong one. Angry She still did my notes and is going to transfer them over, but I hope it doesn’t delay things.

Also I feel a bit silly for thinking it was my “booking in” appointment. I’m only 6+0 and they do the booking in around 8 weeks. So I will get my proper appointment in a few weeks which she said was about an hour long. Today she took my blood pressure, height and weight, basic medical history and last period date. No PG test or anything, so I theory I could be any old loon playing pretend haha! Oh and she asked if I wanted to have screening for down’s at my dating scan. This means they take some blood and send it off for testing. I said yes! But if it was to come back “high risk” I don’t think I’d want them probing into the actual sac.

Anyone else have an appointment soon? It makes it all seem a bit more real!

donna474 · 20/08/2018 12:47

@FSlater my boobs are sore as well as my nipples and then I'm sure they're expanding (as is my SO!) was freaking out about pains earlier but having read a bit more I found that if it was ectopic I would be doubled over in pain more likely and have just met my friend who said she had the same so feeling more positive.
@MrsBonnie that's great news! Loving finding out everyone's experience of appointments and scans etc. I just want my booking in appointment to come now rather than wait for it too.

Anyone else have intermittent sharp pain in the abdomen? I’m so panicking! Only a few today (maybe felt it five times all afternoon?) but it’s terrifying me. X

LynzSxx · 20/08/2018 14:57

Hia everyone :) I had an early scan today. I'm 5 weeks 4 days. The scan showed empty gestational sac. It was really small though as she said possible early pregnancy. I have to go back next week but I'm really worried now. Anybody else had this and it was all fine?

Chivari · 20/08/2018 15:57

Hi @LynzSxx I think the embryo doesn't usually show in the sack until 6+ weeks so it may be that it is just too small at the moment

@FSlater with you on the sore nipples!! Books are fine but nipples - OUCH! So sensitive.

@MrsBonnie I've just got my booking in appt through for 20th September! Can't wait 🙂🙂

Chivari · 20/08/2018 16:41

P.s don't know about anyone else but I feel like I am about to fall asleep at my desk! I think the tiredness just gets worse 💤💤💤
