Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

Great to see so many happy positives on here! I've been getting a bit of nausea when I first wake up these last two days, almost like I am starving hungry but the thought of food makes me feel more sick. Have been woken really early these last two mornings by kids which hasn't helped.
I've also been getting so bloated by the end of the evening and getting weird sensations on my lower abdomen.
For any others feeling bloated Asda are currently selling jeggings with massive elastic waists which expand with you, perfect for when we all start showing but also for bloated evenings!

Hi ladies. Could I join please? Got my bfp this morning. Estimate I'm due April 26. I am terrified but happy and excited. But definitely terrified. Ha! Smile

Unicorn234 · 18/08/2018 12:11

@donna474 oooo those leggings sound good! May have to get some 😊

As for telling people, we have told out immediate family and I've told my closest friends but that's it now until I'm 12 weeks.
I think it's because I've been wanting these for a while, I just can't keep my mouth shut 🙈🙊

Chivari · 18/08/2018 13:08

Yay welcome @CrystalBlaze nice to see you over here now!

CrystalBlaze · 18/08/2018 13:21

Thanks so much @Chivari! Grin

What's your due date do you think? NHS website reckons April 26 for me.

Chivari · 18/08/2018 13:41

I reckon 21 April based on my app @CrystalBlaze I think I am 5 weeks tomorrow. So happy for you!

We can share pregnancy stories. Is this your first? XX

donna474 · 18/08/2018 13:41

@Unicorn234 we've told close family and close friends, the rest can wait till 12 week scan and until we've told my step kids. I've got no issue with people knowing but don't want the skids finding out after everyone else

I'm so glad to have someone in the same position. Yes it's my first Smile How about you? I'm feeling okay about it all I think but worried about sickness. I don't do well with puking at all, I haven't thrown up for about 14 years.

Chivari · 18/08/2018 14:06

Yes my first too @CrystalBlaze 😀😀 so excited! Which cycle no. did you fall pg? And how old are you? I am 26 xx

MrsBonnie · 18/08/2018 14:14

@chivari I’m going to beg at my appt on Monday for an early scan - then I will tell after that! Otherwise I’m just full of panic that something would go wrong.

@fslater I’ve had cramps every day! Mainly after I go for a pee. Weird!

donna474 · 18/08/2018 14:18

@CrystalBlaze @Chivari this is my first pregnancy too, absolutely no idea what to expect!!

OP posts:
donna474 · 18/08/2018 14:18

I conceived the day after my 30th, it's almost like the universe said 'now you're 30, time to act like an adult!'

CrystalBlaze · 18/08/2018 14:56

@Chivari @donna I'm 31 so needed to get on with it Wink

Now immediately worrying because I have had barely any symptoms and my sore boobs are coming and going. Hopefully nothing to worry about.

Chivari · 18/08/2018 15:42

Honestly @CrystalBlaze I wouldn't worry! I think as we are so early on you don't get that many symptoms. I have major bloating in the evening, sore/sensitive nipples and I'm very tired, especially by about 3pm when I am at work. But that is about it so far. As this is baby #1 I have no idea what to expect in terms of morning sickness. Praying I don't get it badly but we will see.

Also not sure what to expect in terms of hospital/midwife appts. I went to the GP on weds and she referred me (although didn't re-confirm I was pregnant with a test, just took my word for it!). Does anyone know, does the midwife contact you? Or do i need to call the hospital too?

FairfaxAikman · 18/08/2018 15:46

@CrystalBlaze a year ago I was in your position- and I didn't get any symptoms until heartburn hit at 32 weeks.
DS is now almost four months old. Some of us just get lucky.

donna474 · 18/08/2018 19:47

@Chivari my doctor has sent off a notification of pregnancy to the midwife so I'm waiting on them to contact me but I might call them Monday morning

OP posts:
Chivari · 18/08/2018 20:46

Thanks @donna474 when did they send it off? And are you going to ring your community midwife or the hospital maternity unit?

Unicorn234 · 18/08/2018 21:05

Anybody started looking at baby stuff yet? I have no intention of buying anything until over 12 weeks but can't help but look 🙊
I've found this website www.preciouslittleones.com and they have amazing prices on bundles e.g. travel system, Moses basket and baby rocking chair for £309 with free delivery. Website seems to have good reviews too!

MrsBonnie · 18/08/2018 21:20

@unicorn234 it’s so tempting to look at everything isn’t it! I’ve been eyeing up prams and cots alresdy. Had a great idea though - early November is Black Friday and there’s bound to be great deal then! I will be 4 months then so will know everything’s ok (fingers crossed) and can have the go ahead to start buying. First grandchild here so I’m sure the grandparents will be going mad too when they find out!

Has anyone not told their mum yet? I feel weird because I’m so close to my mum but I can’t bear to tell her I’m pregnant then have anything go wrong.

Chivari · 18/08/2018 21:30

Good idea @MrsBonnie

I haven't told my mum yet, but the same as you also so so close to my mum and feel weird not telling her. I have a plan to tell my whole family at my dads birthday next month. One of his presents will be that he has a grandchild on the way! And the rest of my family will be there too. So I really want to wait until then as it will be an amazing moment

Unicorn234 · 18/08/2018 21:37

@Chivari aww that sounds like a lovely idea 😊

@MrsBonnie yes I've told my mum, she knew that we was trying so every month she would ask me if I've come on and I couldn't hide it this month 😂

Chivari · 18/08/2018 21:52

Awww thanks @Unicorn234 I'm so excited to see their faces. It is also my best friends birthday in October so I am going to do something similar for her.

Me and DH have always said we want to keep it private initially just to make sure everything is ok. I also know others get very excited and we want to enjoy letting it all sink in before we tell people!

On another note, feeling a bit sicky this evening... 🤦🏽‍♀️ maybe it was just dinner? Hope so!

MrsBonnie · 18/08/2018 22:07

@chivari ohhhh hope so. Being sick is just disgusting. I stupidly ate octopus balls in Japan and later that day got my BFP. wasn’t sure if it was all mind games but I threw up all night! Literally 7 times. Sad Was convinced that this was me for the next 9 months but I’ve been fine since haha!

Unicorn234 · 18/08/2018 22:22

@Chivari @MrsBonnie had no sickness however tonight my boobs have been really sensitive, they feel really heavy 🙈
I am looking forward to experiencing all the different changes that my body will go through though 😊

Lisaloo15 · 19/08/2018 00:02

Well I survived the wedding!! A LOT of people clocked that I wasn't drinking but as I'm horsey I just said I was competing in the morning and they didn't question that at all Wink also had to slyly get a staff member to change my meal as we had preordered with the rsvp so needed to change my pate for melon and have plain chicken for main with no haggis! Lasted till 11.30pm then came home, so tired, boobs agony and feeling quite sick! Oh the joys, it's all coming back to me now lol!!
