Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

Congratulations!! Due June 2018. Scan next week and Harmon test and hopefully all will be ok and we can start getting excited!!

Im 19, and bricking it being my first!
Im 4weeks ish according to clear blue,
6 weeks according to online tests,
Due around 18/07/2017 according to cb and 06/07/2017 according to online tests. Waiting for a scan on 12th week to tell me :).

I got a BFP today after over 2 years of trying (on-off around health issues), due July 2017.

Still not quite sure that test was real (we both stared at it for a REALLY long time...the dog clearly wondered what we were up to!!)

I have had SUCH vivid dreams the past week or so, it was only upon reading your post that I realised they could be linked!

Hey I'm 30 (31 on Tuesday ), approx 7 weeks with my first, due in July 2018.
We weren't actively trying but not using contraception for a while now... convinced that I wouldn't be able to conceive because I've had gynae issues in the past and my periods were irregular so this feels really surreal at the moment!
I've got tender boobs and have had lower abdominal cramps.

Got my BPF this morning - our first month TTC so feeling very lucky and also very shocked that it's happened so quickly, doesn't quite feel real!

I'm 28, and this will be our first baby - all new territory to me so I have a lot of learning to do and feel worried about everything at the moment, probably just because I hardly believe it's real... I mean, I don't really feel any different! Minor cramps and a few twinges here and there, but no major symptoms so far.

I'm about 4 weeks, and Fertility Friend says due 30th July 2018.

What do I do next - call my GP? Straight away?

@hannknitted I called my GP, they referred me to a leaflet on their website and I have to refer myself to the hospital I want!

Can I join? Currently 13 weeks and due very end of May, but all the other First Pregnancy threads seem to have people much further on than me!

Congrats on your bfps. Exciting times.

We got our bfp yesterday after 18 months of fertility struggles and ivf.

Online it says the due date is 27th July.

I haven't had any vivid dreams I don't think.y booms feel fuller and more in the way

I actually can't believe it its been such a struggle to get here but if it all works out it will be worth every thing we went through.

We get an early scan at 6 or 7 weeks because of being ivf.

4th month ttc. Bfp last Tuesday. Using my LMP I'm due July 26th.

Been having some cramps and aches in lower back. I'm super anxious and nervous about getting excited this early bit also trying to enjoy it

@scoutcat oh I know, that's why I started this one!

@Ging78 isn't it mad to think many of us have been TTC longer than it will take us to fulfill the pregnancy!

@Sylv2017 I'm anxious and excited too. Yesterday I read morning sickness is a really good sign so I think I willed myself to have some and now I feel it!

I'm 23 and 4+1. Due date is the 29th of July.

Have felt everything from absolutely terrified to sheer excitement. Really just waiting until I can have my first scan!

Thanks for the advice @peachesarenom - I’m going to give my GP a call today and see what they say. Still not feeling like it’s real though, it’s strange!

Hi ladies, currently 6+3 due 13.07.18 this is my first and currently suffering a lot of anxiety! Got scan this Saturday though so trying to focus on passing the time for that 🙂

Is there anything you're particularly anxious about Vicky?

@anewjourney miscarriage in particular, I haven’t myself experienced this however watched my sister experience this several times before her successful pregnancy’s. The lack of symptoms at the moment is my biggest concern as I only seem to have tender breasts and very bad bloating.

Due to thyroid I have a history of bad anxiety so just think it’s triggered up again

Congrats to all! And a big WHOOP for those of you who have been trying for so long!

Found out last week and so far it just feels very unreal, despite the fact we had been trying for a few months.

@CherryVicky29 - Sorry to hear you are anxious. It is all so overwhelming isn't it? I keep looking around and seeing all these people with their healthy, happy children and keep reminding myself that even though it is a miraculous process it is also very common. There is no reason you won't be one of the millions of women who just has a very normal pregnancy. But sympathies on the anxiety. I am 14 days behind you and so far, not a single symptom.

@hannknitted. Hi! Can I ask, what did you GP say to you? Mine said there is no need to come in!

@CherryVicky29 I’m feeling really anxious too so you’re not alone. It’s really unlike me to be anxious as I’m normally super laid back about everything but today at work I’ve just found myself sitting worrying about everything, my brain is going a mile a minute worrying first about miscarriages and potential complications, and then about maternity leave and money and how we’re going to manage! We don’t live near any of our family and are actually in the process of trying to move closer to home - our house is up for sale but we’re in Aberdeen where the housing market is currently really slow due to the slump in the oil industry, so we have no way of knowing when our house might sell and we have to manage a house move - so potentially lots of change thrown into the mix but no control over when!

@Windowgazer123 I just told the receptionist I had a positive on home pregnancy test and it’s my first baby so I’m not sure what I need to do next - she was really helpful and said I don’t need to bother seeing the GP and she just went ahead and booked me in for my first appointment with the midwife - they don’t see you until around 8 weeks, so my appointment is booked for 3 weeks time.

Vicky It's such an overwhelming thing, especially in the first few days. Even though it was planned I was still shocked and wondered if I was doing the right thing etc.

It's a huge change and with it comes sacrifices and the fear of the unknown!

@hannknitted Oh jeez. Tell me about it! I've googled everything I can think of but had to stop myself when I started worrying how I will ever be able to live near a good primary and secondary school!

So, please can I ask the group.. it's early days but what changes have you made to lifestyle/diet?
I don't know if i'm doing it all right.
I've, so far:

• cut all alcohol.
• cut out drinking lots of tea.
• given up coffee
• Kept up the folic acid and bought some Pregnacare Plus tablets.
• I was on a diet last month and have been going to the gym lots - i've just been keeping up the gym but been less strict on food intake.

What are other people doing? Am I missing anything?!

Any advice is appreciated!

Oh I know @Windowgrazer123 - so easy to get totally carried away with yourself and start worrying about stuff that's years away! I'm totally not normally a worrier and am always the one who's like "everything will be fineeee!" so it's very strange for me - hormones, or just a big life change, I'm not sure!

I'm pretty much the same as you so far - cut out alcohol, switched to decaf tea, kept up the folic acid & vitamins. Trying to be a bit more mindful of what I eat and making sure I drink plenty of water.

I've started swimming for exercise because I'm a runner but don't think I'll be wanting to keep that up too far into pregnancy because it's not very gentle on your body and I've heard from others that it can get uncomfortable pretty early on, so thought I'd start to do a bit of swimming now so that I can keep up some form of exercise throughout. Might try a bit of pregnancy yoga later on too - I quite like yoga.

@peachesarenom - Harmony is a diagnostic DNA blood test that will give you a 99% result on whether you're high or low or risk of carrying a baby with Downs, Edwards Syndrome and one other (can't remember the name of it). It's not available on the NHS and it's a private test, but the NHS is only 70% ish accurate and because of my advanced age (41) I want to be sure that everything is okay :-)

@scourcat - why not come over and join the June babies thread and the secret FB group? There are a few others who are due very end of May too.

Windo I've cut all alcohol (really hard for me as I LOVE beer!), and am taking ginger, milk thistle, probiotics, B6 and folic acid. I've also been really thirsty so have been drinking even more than usual.

I'm looking forward to a post-birth beer already

I've cut out coffee and alcohol but really want coffee!

I feel a bit dizzy too.

I'm 34 does that count as advanced age?

Have you guys read any books?
