Oh Lyns and fuzzy you poor girlies!

Great bit of advice on the clothes shoes and watser that great news on the placental move!
I'm ok just pooching along, felt a little under the weather the past few days, still no completely recognisable movements, still whipping my Doppler out every half week or so, my big scan is fast approaching, Wednesday next week, scanxiety for sure, 😬😬
Got 90% of the 5 kids crimbo prezzies sorted, just gotta focus on the hubby and the rest of the family!!
I was telling my mum how excited iam to see his little fat squidgy face when he's born, I'm hoping that he will have lots of black hair like baby frank did ❤️❤️❤️

XxBecxX · 25/11/2016 17:14

Check out Amazon for maternity as it's very cheap
Xx

Naschkatze · 25/11/2016 18:11

Jpeg I told my class at 24 weeks. I started by saying I had some special news to share and could anyone guess - they didn't. But they are only 6/7. I'd imagine some of your secondary lot might well have done?! I definitely wanted to wait until past 20 weeks and was having no trouble hiding it.
27 weeks today and it's old news to the kids! Grin

Paige84 · 26/11/2016 02:34

Hi all, lovely to read about people's pregnancies progressing. I'm 14+2 today after losing my first baby at 15+2 in April. To say I'm becoming more terrified each day is putting it mildly! Occasionally I find myself thinking I could actually make it this time but then I come crashing down with the thought of "yeah but you thought that last time"

So I'm here with the determination to be more positive about this. Even if it's only on the surface for now. I'll work on the "fake it til you make you" theory!
Hope everyone's doing well x

FlourishingMrs · 26/11/2016 03:40

Just to. Say I am looking out for you guys and wishing you well, baby boy is 3 weeks now. He is so lovely. You will get yours soon. Good luck XxxBec on your big scan it will be ok.

For the ladies spotting in the early weeks... perfectly normal. I didn't spot and had Miscariage, spotted this time and have a little boy.Stay positive.

3 weeks and not done the deed yet...

jpeg28 · 26/11/2016 08:14

Lovely to hear from you Flourishing and so glad your little boy is doing well! Also 3 weeks.... I feel like I'll be saying 3 months and still not... BlushConfused

Anyone have any nice plans for the weekend?

I'm having quite the pity party with myself, took a test yesterday and line pretty much non existent so looks like this one is a non start too. Scan on wed/thurs to check but need distractions till then. Might be time to start some festive baking.

emily86 · 26/11/2016 08:49

Lynsey glad everything was ok. Sorry you're having such a time with it all at the moment. Hopefully things will be smoother from now on.

Miami good luck for the scan today. Please let us know how you get on.

Reindeer welcome. I am finding this group super helpful.

Ineed excellent research. I'm just hoping I get to the point of needing to wear maternity clothes this time. Although, already feel rather chubby and I'm only about 7 weeks!

I had a dream last night that I had loads of fresh red bleeding that was looking like a miscarriage. I hope it isn't a premonition Confused

jpeg28 · 26/11/2016 08:57

jaffa maybe it's just too early for a dark line?? Everything crossed for you.

I'm off to pilates then having my hair done for the first time in about 8 months!

Good luck today miami

emily86 · 26/11/2016 11:24

I feel sick! Never thought I'd be so happy about feeling sick!

Miami81 · 26/11/2016 11:49

Hi there
Thanks for all your good wishes. It's inconclusive. Measuring a week behind and hb is just a flicker. Could go any way apparently. Measuring at 6+2, should be 7+4. Finding it really hard to stay positive with this. Aiming for distraction, heading out for the day now......

INeedNewShoes · 26/11/2016 11:51

Miami - sorry that you didn't get more definite positive news. Will you go for another scan in 1–2 weeks time? You should get a definite answer at that point. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

fuzzywuzzy · 26/11/2016 12:05

Jaffa good luck for your scan next week. everything crossed for you.

Miami everything crossed for you too, let us know how follow up scan goes.

Pregnancy is so scary. I cannot believe how stressed I feel, so I'm trying to ignore it as much as possible and get on with life in the meantime.

I've got a near constant headache and worrying about the effect of daily paracetamol dose is having. I'm going to make an appt with doc just in case. On the upside the back pain isn't so bad today, thank you for suggesting drinking more water, think it's worked.

Meanwhile we've got two new bouncy insane kittens. DP reckons a newborn will be calmer in comparison lol.

We're going to see the snowman at the theatre tonight I'm seriously hoping I'll be well enough to enjoy it.

jpeg28 · 26/11/2016 12:25

Miami I'm so sorry to hear that, I really hope you get some good news In a week or two. Could you have your dates wrong? It must be so hard just not knowing either way. Thinking of you.

Fuzzy hope you feel better for the theatre.

I've just been to pregnancy Pilates, I love it but every time I go I get so scared about actually giving birth! It's 20 weeks (hopefully!) away but I'm already worried!

emily86 · 26/11/2016 12:26

Sorry the scan was inconclusive Miami.

Fuzzy you are so right! Congratulations on the kittens, how exciting! My cat has got me through some pretty rough times these past couple of years. I have wished I had the simale life of a cat on many occasions!

fuzzywuzzy · 26/11/2016 12:34

Jpeg do you have a birth plan on place? Would it help to have a discussion about your birth choices and fears with your midwife?

I'm not thinking about the birth it's sooo far off for me right now. However a friend had a water birth in the hospital birth unit and said she could cheerfully do it all again, which actually made me feel a bit calmer about it too.

jaffacakes16 · 26/11/2016 17:21

jpeg I like the sound of pregnancy Pilates have you been doing it all through pregnancy?

miami that sucks, fingers crossed you just ovulated late. I have wondered if some babies just grow slower or is that not medically possible. It seems odd that development is so textbook. Perhaps that's just me being blonde!

LynseyH · 26/11/2016 17:44

Sorry just whizzing through but noticed about at the limit....has any one done a new thread or shall I do it?! Then I'll catch up properly :-)

OP posts:
jpeg28 · 26/11/2016 17:46

jaffa I have been doing it since I was 14 weeks so not very long but I love it! It's all about how to protect your body from what labour and pregnancy can do to it! The instructor is just so knowledgable and explains every exercise and why we need to do it! I'll definitely do it for as long as I can.

I could kill my OH tonight. I've just bought us a nice dinner, him some wine and he has a go at me for eating the last of the lemon yoghurt Shock firstly, I was about to faint yesterday and it's the first thing I could think to eat, and also... is he 5 years old?!!
