jaffa I have been doing it since I was 14 weeks so not very long but I love it! It's all about how to protect your body from what labour and pregnancy can do to it! The instructor is just so knowledgable and explains every exercise and why we need to do it! I'll definitely do it for as long as I can.

I could kill my OH tonight. I've just bought us a nice dinner, him some wine and he has a go at me for eating the last of the lemon yoghurt Shock firstly, I was about to faint yesterday and it's the first thing I could think to eat, and also... is he 5 years old?!!

jpeg I like the sound of pregnancy Pilates have you been doing it all through pregnancy?

miami that sucks, fingers crossed you just ovulated late. I have wondered if some babies just grow slower or is that not medically possible. It seems odd that development is so textbook. Perhaps that's just me being blonde!

Jpeg do you have a birth plan on place? Would it help to have a discussion about your birth choices and fears with your midwife?

I'm not thinking about the birth it's sooo far off for me right now. However a friend had a water birth in the hospital birth unit and said she could cheerfully do it all again, which actually made me feel a bit calmer about it too.

Sorry the scan was inconclusive Miami.

Fuzzy you are so right! Congratulations on the kittens, how exciting! My cat has got me through some pretty rough times these past couple of years. I have wished I had the simale life of a cat on many occasions!

Miami I'm so sorry to hear that, I really hope you get some good news In a week or two. Could you have your dates wrong? It must be so hard just not knowing either way. Thinking of you.

Fuzzy hope you feel better for the theatre.

I've just been to pregnancy Pilates, I love it but every time I go I get so scared about actually giving birth! It's 20 weeks (hopefully!) away but I'm already worried!

Jaffa good luck for your scan next week. everything crossed for you.

Miami everything crossed for you too, let us know how follow up scan goes.

Pregnancy is so scary. I cannot believe how stressed I feel, so I'm trying to ignore it as much as possible and get on with life in the meantime.

I've got a near constant headache and worrying about the effect of daily paracetamol dose is having. I'm going to make an appt with doc just in case. On the upside the back pain isn't so bad today, thank you for suggesting drinking more water, think it's worked.

Meanwhile we've got two new bouncy insane kittens. DP reckons a newborn will be calmer in comparison lol.

We're going to see the snowman at the theatre tonight I'm seriously hoping I'll be well enough to enjoy it.

Miami - sorry that you didn't get more definite positive news. Will you go for another scan in 1–2 weeks time? You should get a definite answer at that point. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hi there
Thanks for all your good wishes. It's inconclusive. Measuring a week behind and hb is just a flicker. Could go any way apparently. Measuring at 6+2, should be 7+4. Finding it really hard to stay positive with this. Aiming for distraction, heading out for the day now......

Lynsey glad everything was ok. Sorry you're having such a time with it all at the moment. Hopefully things will be smoother from now on.

Miami good luck for the scan today. Please let us know how you get on.

Reindeer welcome. I am finding this group super helpful.

Ineed excellent research. I'm just hoping I get to the point of needing to wear maternity clothes this time. Although, already feel rather chubby and I'm only about 7 weeks!

I had a dream last night that I had loads of fresh red bleeding that was looking like a miscarriage. I hope it isn't a premonition Confused

Anyone have any nice plans for the weekend?

I'm having quite the pity party with myself, took a test yesterday and line pretty much non existent so looks like this one is a non start too. Scan on wed/thurs to check but need distractions till then. Might be time to start some festive baking.

Hi all, lovely to read about people's pregnancies progressing. I'm 14+2 today after losing my first baby at 15+2 in April. To say I'm becoming more terrified each day is putting it mildly! Occasionally I find myself thinking I could actually make it this time but then I come crashing down with the thought of "yeah but you thought that last time"
So I'm here with the determination to be more positive about this. Even if it's only on the surface for now. I'll work on the "fake it til you make you" theory!
Hope everyone's doing well x

Jpeg I told my class at 24 weeks. I started by saying I had some special news to share and could anyone guess - they didn't. But they are only 6/7. I'd imagine some of your secondary lot might well have done?! I definitely wanted to wait until past 20 weeks and was having no trouble hiding it.
27 weeks today and it's old news to the kids! Grin

I'm ok just pooching along, felt a little under the weather the past few days, still no completely recognisable movements, still whipping my Doppler out every half week or so, my big scan is fast approaching, Wednesday next week, scanxiety for sure, 😬😬
Got 90% of the 5 kids crimbo prezzies sorted, just gotta focus on the hubby and the rest of the family!!
I was telling my mum how excited iam to see his little fat squidgy face when he's born, I'm hoping that he will have lots of black hair like baby frank did ❤️❤️❤️

jpeg - I'm only 16 weeks but all the dresses look nice on now, which helps me justify the money because I'm hoping the dress will see me through pregnancy and beyond. If it looks nice now I could probably wear it when I'm not pregnant at all!

January sales will probably be a good time to buy stuff Smile

Oh Lynsey you poor thing that must have been so scary. So glad you're ok.

Good luck everyone awaiting scans. I remember the long long drag to the 12 week scan and I was convinced it would be bad news. Got everything crossed for you all.

fuzzy that sounds awful... I hope you can get a ton of rest this weekend and you get better soon!

Thanks so much for the research newshoes! I desperately need a nice maternity dress or two for work. I'm only 19 weeks though so I sort of want to wait until I'm a bit bigger to spend so much money! Maybe I'll treat myself to one though!

I have my 20 week scan Monday and I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! To all you teachers out there... did you tell your classes or wait until they asked you?? I've made it so far without any one noticing and was thinking after my scan Monday morning I might tell my form, not sure what to do though!!

Ants - I just noticed your question. I play the flute.

Its unlikely that you have no musical talent. Maybe stringed instruments just aren't for you – they are the trickiest in terms of technique and coordination!

Fuzzy Flowers that's rubbish. Poor you. I hope you're looking after yourself now. Keep drinking plenty of water to flush through your kidneys and keep your hydration up.

Moonlight - great news Smile

Lynsey - not one for a quiet life, are you!? I hope you're ok today and being kind to yourself.

I can report on my maternity clothes research now! (Please ignore if this is just incredibly dull Grin)

I've tried on dresses from the following brands: JoJoMaman, Mamalicious, Seraphine, Dorothy Perkins and Red Herring.

The Seraphine dress wins hands down for material quality and flattering shape, the material is heavy enough that it hangs nicely and doesn't cling to the wobbly bits around my hips.

The Seraphine, JoJo and Mamalicious dresses are all around the same price point (£40–50) but the niceness of the Seraphine dresses puts the others at this price to shame!

My next favourite dress is the cheapest, the Dorothy Perkins dress (£24) - material thick enough to create a good shape and not be see through.

The Red Herring dress is OK (£30) but nowhere near as nice as the Seraphine dress (£44 after a discount) and the material and cut are cheaper-looking than the Dorothy Perkins dress.

On Jeans, I've tried on Seraphine jeans and JoJo jeans. The material of the Seraphine jeans is disappointingly thin and the straight leg cut and material too clingy for my chubby legs. The JoJo straight jeans are more generous in the leg but not so flattering on the waist. My search for jeans continues!

I'm having the worst day. Been off work since beginning of the week with sinusitis, GP put me on antibiotics as I was running crazy temperatures which would not go down.

So I thought I was fine to goin to work today... had to leave at midday spectacularly throwing up on my way to the tube station, gave DP a fright.

Feeling very sorry for myself. & to cap it have a banging headache and really bad backache I am hoping I don't have a kidney infection or something.
