Hey ladies,

Welcome gizmojo I also had a mc in July and this time tested at 9dpo for some crazy reason (ttc madness!) Which I wouldn't do again as it just felt like forever waiting for those first few weeks to pass starting at only 3+2! Everything is going well for me so far this time though so fx for you too. And congrats!

Welcome also cool and like bec said that's still an increase anyway. So fx for you, the waiting is horrible so at least it's not long till tomorrow and hope everything is progressing as it should.

lynsey another thing to add to the list, I don't know how you do it! I hope it's not bad. Obvs I have no experience of it myself as first pregnancy (well, first to get this far) but hopefully you'll get the care you need and it won't get too bad.

bec glad to hear you shared the news now! How exciting:). Sounds like this will be a spoilt baby with everything he could ever need lol, lucky thing!

Not much to report from me just counting down the days til scan next week and driving myself crazy trying to find a dress for my Christmas party that doesn't make me look like a bloated beast with ginormous boobies (not the look I'm going for at a work do!). Decided to just go for a maternity dress anyway although I'll only be 13 weeks and all bloat not proper bump but at least that way I'll be comfortable and can get some more wear out of it to any parties in the next few months. Everything else is just so fitted and skimpy at the moment!

I also need to go bra shopping this weekend which I'm dreading. I already got new 32e bras at the start and now I'm spilling out, it's ridiculous! Just going to get some comfy proper maternity ones and bite the bullet!

Just catching up....
Great scan yesterday Sah!

Emily it could be a bit of implantation bleeding? Don't lose hope!!

Welcome Gizmojo and congrats! Hope the scan goes well and wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months!

Lynsey that sounds painful and uncomfortable...hope you find something to ease the pain.

Bec that's so excited you've bought lots of stuff!! Can't wait to get shopping!

cool welcome and got everything crossed for you that those numbers start doubling! I agree with Bec though, they are rising so that's the important thing! But I know it's such a worrying time. Thinking of you.
I'm 18+1 today and pretty sure I felt the popping movement in the night! I woke up and could feel it! Has made me so relieved as I honestly thought something was wrong. Cannot wait for scan next week then I can put my mind at ease.

I still don't know whether to find the sex out! Please decide for me!!!

LynseyH · 16/11/2016 19:24

moonlight my last few weeks have certainly not been fun! I was describing the pain to someone earlier and they said it also sounds like sciatica so I'm presuming it has to be one of them :-/
I do find keeping warm helps so I'm keeping myself well wrapped up.
Wow on the boobies haha!! I was happy to get to a 'c' cup, I don't know how you cope lol.

For all the newbies, I really hope all works out well for you this time around. It's not an easy ride and we can't say the worry goes, but I do think with each milestone you pass, it becomes a bit easier to believe there really might be a baby at the end.
I'm 27+5 and although I finally started buying a couple of weeks ago, I'm only just starting to think I'm actually doing this, I'm going to have a baby!

Ohhh jpeg how could I miss you! I vote to find out! The best feeling (and also strangest!) is knowing who you are growing Smile

lol moonlight your boobs must be HUGE!! lol little small back and massive boobies lol
I found some lovely red tops on amazon, maybe you could get a nice little stretchy mini skirt, tights and a lovely off the shoulder red flowey top?

Jpeg I think you should find out lol
I have a hug bag of brand new baby girls clothes I bought before I knew I was having a boy, I was waiting till my scan, double checking it's deffo a winky then I was going to put them on eBay!

jpeg28 · 16/11/2016 19:31

I think I'm going to find out!! My mum thinks I'm mad and thinks it spoils the surprise... I want to feel more connected to the baby and my OH will be over the moon to find out!!

My boobs are like a G cup now!!! I can't see how they can keep on growing!!

XxBecxX · 16/11/2016 19:40

Like I've said jpeg, there's so much to look forward to, how much will they weigh, will they have hair, what colour eyes, will they look like you or dad, so many lovely exciting things to wait for, it's lovely knowing it's a little person, we've decided we are calling our new bubba Tommy-James after my brother, and I told the kids about him today and they were so excited, looking at the baby app on my phone at what he looks like at the 17weeks lol, my daughter made me download it onto her iPad so she can read the new info each week lol bless her she's only 8, she was telling me that he can probably here me, then ran off and told my other daughter that in 2 weeks baby tommy will be able to open his eyes lolol

jpeg28 · 16/11/2016 19:45

That's so cute!! She sounds like a very intelligent little girl! I've just told my OH we are going to find out and he's so happy! I'm more excited about the scan now!

INeedNewShoes · 16/11/2016 20:03

Where do other ladies with small back (28/30/32) and large cup size (F+) buy their maternity bras?

I had a very disheartening trip to Bravissimo last week trying to buy a soft cup bra. The only ones available in my size were quite horrendous in both appearance and price!

I've looked online at M&S and I don't think they even do anything in a 30G which is what I now seem to need.

Big boobs are just a pain in the backside!

jpeg - I've been the same as you; completely unable to decide whether to find out the sex of the baby. I don't know how I'll decide!

MoonlightMojitos · 16/11/2016 20:19

lynsey I do suffer with sciatica, that's not fun. I have bad hips (had a problem with them all my life) and get trapped nerves etc alot with shooting pains all down my legs, it can be agony and when it's bad I need physio and struggle to walk so I'm really hoping they don't get bad though I know I'm more at risk because of that. Hope you get some help soon, I've heard midwives are very aware of it now so you should get good help.

bec they are massive, it's ridiculous. And now they're straining out of everything 😂 shame poor dp can't enjoy them as they're agony!

jpeg I'll definately vote to find out! How exciting for you!!!

bec that's so adorable, bless her! Must be lush that's she's so exited and at the age she wants to know all about it! I did see a glittery jersey skirt I thought might be nice with a nice loose top!

Oh newshoes I've heard good things about bravissimo so was hoping I'd be in luck but maybe not then! I think maternity bras in general seem to be ugly comfort over style though, massive straps for support and no shape. I agree it's such a pain, I struggled before finding things in a 32 as most places seem to start at 34 or cost so much more for smaller back.

XxBecxX · 16/11/2016 21:17

That tops only £9.99 on amazon, looks comfy and could be dressed up moonlight xx

Ladies

I do have some advice, for those with bigger breasts, try a group on Facebook called Boob or Bust, they have a really great advice for bra sizing and where to get great bras from a person who owns a company called Billy Bums sells on there. They are funky maternity/breast feeding bras. Amazing for me - I feel comfy for first time in years!!!

INeedNewShoes · 16/11/2016 21:59

Ooh thanks Sah

LynseyH · 16/11/2016 22:23

Thank you moonlight. Sorry to hear you suffer with it in every day life too. From the sounds of it sciatica and SPD seem quite similar? I guess until I speak to the midwife or gp it's going to be a guessing game. For now I think I'll just try to keep off my feet and see how I go then call my midwife when she's back (unless it gets worse before then).
I just keep thinking I don't want to sit on my bum the whole time. It's not me to do that. With my second sons pregnancy I had plantar fasciitis in my foot so I had no choice but to sit down a lot and I ended up humongous. I don't want to be like that again! I thought I had the same issue with my foot a month or two back but thankfully it wasn't so now I'm in pain with my legs, it feels like a set back...maybe I'm tired now but feeling a bit fed up to be honest.

DoubleCarrick · 17/11/2016 06:23

Hey, just dropping in to have a quick freak out!! 32 weeks and have to go for a growth scan today because baby has measured as 3 weeks worth of growth in the last 5 weeks. I was chilled and of the attitude of "he'll be ok" but I only saw MW yesterday and she insisted on the hospital seeing me today.

Movements, I thought, were good but now I'm wondering whether they have slowed. My dog has been going crazy around me every time I'm near and visibly getting super stressed and it's all just getting on top of me.

I finished packing my hospital bags last night just in case. Although I know that's an over-reaction

XxBecxX · 17/11/2016 07:38

Hya carrick, they set these guidelines as a base, I've had babies born over the biggest centile, in between and at the lower range.
The best way to look at it is your little lovely is all perfectly built, and is just fattening up, obviously every bit of extra time in the womb develops the lungs but when they are born that speeds up also.
Try not to worry and be confident that even if he/she was born tomorrow he'd most likely be 4lb or so which I've seen babies born full term and taken home at that size.
Just try to relax and wait for your appointment, oh and my mum has a jackawahuh and when I was pregnant last time he'd sit by me and his eyes and ears would be all over me and he'd just watch my belly, they are very tuned into your pregnancy, you dog might be pickin up on your nerves?

Xxxxxx

DoubleCarrick · 17/11/2016 07:43

Thanks bec. Feeling very alone right now.

I'm trying to keep it in perspective. He was ABOVE the 95th percentile line last time and has now dropped to just below the 90th percentile line. So it's not like he's tiny anyway. which is weird in itself since my bump is actually pretty tiny

My dog is an odd one. I've been pretty chilled lately and nothing has been getting me worked up. I think I have in the back of my head that last time he was like this I had my MMC but I'm trying to ignore that.

XxBecxX · 17/11/2016 08:09

Aslong as your feeling him move he's ok, have regular cups of tea and icy drinks that will jog him about a bit to reassure you.
When you have your appointment today I would definetly tell them that for you, something feels a bit off, your gut instinct is there and is now playing u up, if I where you I would take my bag in the car and tell them unless they can tell you everything is just as it should be you ain't going anywhere lol
Don't feel alone my lovely, I'm here for you, I know it's not much but 2 heads are better than one xxxx

And to add that an MC as you know is usually natures way of saying that something isn't right, you've had all the tests and scans and he's perfect, if it's now an issue with your body/womb/placenta making things go a bit off course they will be able to figure that out and navigate through it xxx

DoubleCarrick · 17/11/2016 09:02

He's having the occasional wriggle but you know when you doubt it? I'm second guessing it now and thinking "is he moving as much as he was? etc"

I keep telling myself it's routine and just a precaution.

Only an hour and a half to wait!

theAntsareMyFriends · 17/11/2016 09:21

carrick that sounds like stress you don't need. My MW was slightly concerned about my DS growth but told me the movements are much more important. I'm sure the scan will put your mind at rest and it will be nice to get a look at your little boy again before he finally emerges.

bec I can't believe you can get a baby roll top bath. That sounds amazing. We did and still do bath my DS in one of those big plastic garden buckets with handles as we figured we could use if for firewood when he doesn't need it any more.

The name for you baby boy is lovely. Its so lovely that your DD is excited and getting involved. We hypothetically asked DS if he would like a new baby brother or sister. His answer was a very firm 'no'.

Lynsey sorry to hear you are suffering. That sounds so uncomfortable. Is there anything you can do that is comfortable - swimming, sitting on one of those big balls?

jpeg I think its so nice to find out. It helped me get excited and you can call the baby by its name if you've decided on that. I didn't go down the pink/blue route but still found it nice to be mentally prepared.

moonlight i think a nice maternity dress that you can dress up or down is a really good investment, esp around the festive season. It also helps you feel a bit smart when you a feeling a bit huge and bloated.

Hello gizmo and good luck with your scan today cooling

XxBecxX · 17/11/2016 10:23

carrick he may have changed position, if he's back to belly then most of his punches and kicks are going inwards, and that means you'll probably only feel the little fatty when he is shifting about his whole body, I would say get into the doggy position and gently rotate you hips and watch a bit of tele and see if you can make him change his position, it does work and it's always good to try if your feeling like Lynsey, pained or feeling a trapped nerve sensation, sometimes you've just got to get them into a more comfy position for you, they are as snug as a bug any which way xxxxx

Thanks Ants, I caught the kids telling the random neighbours this morning 😂 I said your not really supposed to tell people where not really good friends with until we've told all the really good friends first and my daughter said oh sorry I'm just too excited lol

XxBecxX · 17/11/2016 10:25

I'm still laughing at you little one saying no to a new brother or sister ants, I said to my husband we've got to watch the new baby like a hawk because otherwise our frank will probably go and leave him on the someone's step or something lol

cooltobeginger · 17/11/2016 10:33

Hi everyone, thanks for all the support. I just got back from my scan and it's good news! We saw everything including the heartbeat so we are over the moon. EPAU have discharged us now so fingers crossed everything goes smoothly from now on. Xxx

theAntsareMyFriends · 17/11/2016 10:51

great news cool.

I forgot to say I had my 16week MW appointment yesterday. She couldn't get blood out of me after trying both arms and my hand. She only needed 2 small tubes. In the end a very experienced blood nurse had to do it but I feel a bit like a pin cushion. Hopefully it will mean that I won't have to have anti-D this time if the blood test shows the baby is RH-. Also got to hear the heartbeat. I've heard it on my doppler but it was reassuring to have a professional hear it too. It took her a while to get it as the baby was moving so much. It obviously v uncooperative as it was moving around in the 12 week scan too and wouldn't get in position. Hopefully its not a sign of what it will be like when it arrives!

DoubleCarrick · 17/11/2016 14:58

hey, just a quick one. Scan was all good - although they've dropped him from the 95th percentile to the 10th percentile
