moonlight hoping the cramps are just a normal part of being pregnant. It's hard when I had similar symptoms which eventually lead up to the MC last time. They also coincided with when my second period would have happened. I just don't remember my first pregnancy being this stressful. Worrying every minute of every day pretty much. Never knowing if the slightest twinge signifies the end. I think if I can make it past 8 weeks I'll feel a bit more confident.

Thanks girls. I'm trying not to worry but it's still such early days for me. long I think I'll be the same at 8 weeks too, that's my short term goal for now as will be past last times mc and we're going to have an early scan so if there is a heartbeat then and everything is OK I think I'll start to relax a bit more. Fx for you.

bec 😂 I'm sure it's endearing lol

Long my first pregnancy was all roses apart from symptoms, if somebody would have said to me, do you think that there's any chance you won't have a baby in 9 months id of said don't be stupid. It's that blissful naivety, we probably had all the exact same strains and cramps but we weren't looking for the negatives back then.
Even for me it's been so much more stressful this time around as the losses before my last MMC where early and so I didn't really believe that once you got past the 6 week mark and saw a heartbeat you where still in any sort of danger, I think last time has just taken me that bit further into the depths of fear.
Also it should be added to the ladies who don't already know that when you implant you may still have implantation bleeding, it just may not have made its way out at that time. On my first 2 scans there was a very large implantation bleed and the scanner said it will either make its way out or reabsorb, that being said brown blood being old blood and your womb cleaning itself whilst pregnant seems very probable, and the scanner didn't seem at all phased by it.
Mine had reabsorbed by my last scan on thurs, let's try to think post overly until we have a define the reason to not do eh, easier said than done lol xx

Wise words Bec. My first pregnancy was a breeze too and you're right, now we've had disappointments we read so much into everything.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Talking about symptoms, I had really bad nausea with the pregnancy that I had the MMC. It's nowhere near as bad this time but I am definitely more hormonal this time. I had a bit of a paddy yesterday! I think it's impossible not to analyse all the symptoms (or lack thereof). Distraction is the best solution for me!

Report
XxBecxX · 01/10/2016 21:03

Lol shoes about the paddy, that is the beauty of pregnancy, ur so allowed to be an arsehole and the other half can't say shit about it lol
I wonder if it's more to do with the gender of the baby perhaps why sometimes we suffer more than at other times, I know further in on a pregnancy I have different experiences carrying boys and girls but I wonder if it could start at the beginning? It would make a lot of sense xx

Hiya, can I join please?

I miscarried in January, I'm now 6 weeks 6 days pregnant and so worried.. Only symptom I've got is sore nipples every now and then. Booked a private scan for when I'm 7+5 and feeling anxious xx

Wow how this thread is flying along.
So glad all you newbies have found this thread for support. It's been a game changer for me. Wishing you all a healthy pregnancy, it's a rotten few months in the early stages. The worry won't go but it will hopefully get a bit easier.

I've nothing exciting to share, although I have finally bought 2 little outfits, a little pair of gorgeous pink booties, little tiny ballet shoes and frilly socks.... the receipt is safely put away for now though. I'm now 21+2. Can't quite believe it's going so fast right now but the little kicks I'm getting are a lovely reminder.
Just starting to think about investing in some lovely new towels so I can use the older ones in my home birth... I am determined that's what I'm getting!

Bec you have been a busy lady! That's a lot of highs and lows with that many miscarriages and gorgeous kids. Pleased you've had reassurance scans and it's looking good for you Smile
EPU said I can go for early scan next week after I spoke (bawled down phone) to them last week. They need dr referral. My dr however says no scans unless I bleed. I don't bleed, this we know. And I'm on progesterone so prob less likely too aswell. This is after reassuring me that Ofcourse I would be put through for an early scan on 2 separate occasions?!?! Basically whatever happens I'm having a scan next week! Before I lose my marbles Confused

Report

That's terrible they are saying that badger, your entitled to early reassurance, goes to show how different some doctors are, mine suggested weekly scans to help me keep my anxiety in check.
Maybe you should change doctors to one that's far more sympathetic.
Yes lots of happiness and mixed misery with building our family, I'm very lucky to have given birth to 5 children, I suppose tho that if you have very strong maternal instincts like I do it's hard to say that it's time now to stop. I'm not like a lot of woman who love being pregnant I can't stand it lol
And I've noticed a lot of other women who have big family's seem to chuck them all out at once, I've had a baby and then enjoyed every moment till they start school then tried for another 😂 Apart from my 8&9 year old that was a total accident, and very hard going I will say, my husband never even wanted kids!
I've made the decision in theory that if things don't go well this time I won't try again, I'm already so invested and I can't imagine how I'd get through if things failed, too much to bare thinking about, but then we don't go into pg thinking the worst will definetly happen or we would never do it would we,

Thanks for asking badger :)... well, lol this is very embarrassing but I read another thread where someone had similar. Cramps every night for 20 mins or so and it turns out she was constipated and then I thought actually things have slowed down for me in there too so maybe it's actually just that even though I don't feel constipated but I am bloated. So before I went to bed I had 2 Rennies, did some of the biggest farts I've ever done in my life and then off to sleep and didn't wake up with cramps! Highly embarrassed but looks like maybe it was just wind Blush. I still haven't gone to the toilet though which is worrying. Good job dp was on a night shift 😂. Feel a bit silly now if it was that but I guess I'll just see what happens next few nights and if it happens again.

Didn't mean to post yet!

Welcome oscarsmummy :) sorry you're in a mc thread but congrats on your BFP.

lynsey how exciting, buying little clothes! I'm so excited to do that but got a long wait yet. I've always been so broody and seeing baby clothes makes me go all gooey lol.

badger that's good that they listening to you though, and really awful of your doctor. I'd definately try and change to a more sympathetic one. Fx for your scan!

Anyone had any experience with bump measuring under? After a few comments about mine being small I measured it and it's 2cm under where I am in weeks. I measured under with dd but not until later in my pregnancy at 34 weeks +. I'm sure I'm just giving myself something to worry about here but interested in other people's experiences.

LynseyH · 02/10/2016 14:01

whatser with my 3rd son, I was measuring small and was sent for a growth scan but all was well. These things are quite far out in my own experience and even at the scan they said I was on track for him to be 8lb but he was only 6lb 13oz.
Try your best not to worry over it if possible.
moonlight is was nice to buy a few bits but I'm still worried they've told me I'm having a girl and it might turn out to be a boy! 4d scan in 4 weeks so I'll buy more then. In the meantime I'm going to concentrate on the more essential stuff, a steriliser etc.
I wouldn't worry over the constipation either, it's very common and I still struggle now. I've found I feel stupidly heavy after eating. My belly goes harder and feels like it's straining against my clothes. The relief when you go to the toilet is great!

I had a MC at 8 weeks in May.

Good luck to everyone xx

Hey ladies just marking my place on new thread. Haven't been on much lately. Ive been feeling pretty down as I feel like my symptoms are disappearing. The ongoing spotting is getting hard to deal with. I have a scan on Friday at 8 weeks so I guess I'll know one way or another then

Ok so today I've had the cramps twice this afternoon (first time it's happened in the day). First time I sat on the loo for a good 10 mins and nothing happened so got back off and then 5 mins later had to run and had diarrhea (I don't know how to spell it 😩). Nothing again since. What the hell is going on in there? It's so scary, it feels just like intense period cramps? Whenever I've had a bad stomach before the cramps have been higher up like under my ribs. But I think it must be related? 😣 I hope this doesn't go on much longer, don't think my nerves can take it. And obvs my oh is stressing too whilst I'm rolling around in agony.

lynsey haha that would be funny! Is this your first? Did you have a preference for sex?

blossom that's really good news that you're feeling so rough, it's just crap that you need to go through it to feel like everything is OK. It is rubbish how mc takes the joy out of pregnancy.

unicorn to get to 15 weeks is amazing! Especially it if was 8 weeks last time. Congrats! When do you think you will tell people? You'll be showing soon?

something I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. They say spotting is really common though isn't it, it's just were so aware of it because of previous mc so we think the worst. I really hope everything is OK for you, Friday must feel like ages away but try not to stress xx

moonlight I've had the same, cramps and diahorrea several times in the past week. I had it last time as well before the MC so it is a worry for me too. I don't have a scan booked so I'm just waiting it out. I've read that some women do get diahorrea but I think most are the other way. I haven't found that there is any link between it and MC so maybe it's just a coincidence....? How far along are you?
