Hey there!!

vitomum · 26/01/2007 11:52

hello KitKat, and congratulations. i got a BFP yesterday and have been dying to talk about it all day. I'm not even due my AF for another 4 days at least but tested last night and there it was! have calculated i would be due the first week in october which feels about a million years away at this point. when did you find out?

KitKat30 · 26/01/2007 11:53

Hello my old friend!! How's it going??

I'm in my 10th week now - had a bit of scare at 8weeks, but had an early scan and saw the little bean and his/her little heartbeat. Was so exciting! Morning sickness is OK - bearable during the day, but pretty horrid in the evening. Havent actually been sick yet - just constant nausea.

EDD 30th Aug!!! Eekk!!!! Cant quite believe it. Had a bit of a wobble when I first found out I was pg, but have really settled into it now.

How's it going with you? Do you know if it's a boy or girl yet?

Hi vito - crossed posts there! Congrats on your BFP! I found out just before xmas. It still all feels very new!

MrsMcJnr · 26/01/2007 11:57

Great idea KitKat, I feel a bit self conscious today! Congratulations VitoMum, I found out this morning and am still in shock. Counting from last AF, I am 4+1 so very early days. This is my first so I need lots of advice, I don't know anything!!

I am so pleased for you KitKat, sounds like things are going really well

Bodkin · 26/01/2007 12:00

Good idea KitKat! There was a bit of a deluge when MrsMcJ got her BFP wasn't there! Still, well worth celebrating!

I don't think we really chatted much on TTC boards, think I was off before I got to "meet" you properly, but have been lurking ever since I left. Miss the banter a bit....

You're due 30th Aug - hope it's not a long hot summer! I'm due mid July. Do you have a 12 week scan booked yet?

pinkranger · 26/01/2007 12:00

hi kitkat, i remeber you from the TTC xmas thread , didnt now we are so close, i am due 26th August.......... ! xxx
I have the same with the nausea , thought it wasa getting better and treated myself to a bit of choc cake , but No, body does not like choc cake!!!!!

PinkButterfly · 26/01/2007 12:04

Congratulations Vitomum. I too tested before AF due and it does make early weeks seem a bit slow but fingers crossed you will be in the throws of a healthly pregnancy and your little bundle in your arms before you know it!

Hey Kitkat - LOVELY to hear from you . I found your posts just after your BFP but couldn't find you after that! Glad to hear you are doing ok. I haven't ever been sick during my pregnancies but all day nausea with all three (not sure which is the worst).

I am doing just fine. Had my second scan this week and had been hoping we would be able to find out baby's sex but wee blighter was keeping legs firmly crossed. DH and I have discussed possibility of private scan to find out so may do that in a month or so.

Fantastic news for MrsMcJ eh ? She is all over the boards!!! Such a popular woman and everyone is so over the moon for her.

MrsMcJnr · 26/01/2007 12:09

wow, how time flies, I can't believe how advanced you are all getting!!

PinkButterfly · 26/01/2007 12:10

You'll be there soon enough MrsMrJ!!!

vitomum · 26/01/2007 12:12

awww, august babies. lovely summer birthdays to look forward to.

MrsMCJnr, many congratulations. you must still be in the same shocked/thrilled/disbelieving stage as me then . counting from AF i am 4 weeks today. still can't beleive that i tested positive yesterday as i have a 32 day cycle and know i didn't ovulate until until at least CD 15/16. Oh well, there you go. i feel very lucky as i had anticipated a weekend of furious testing. Oh, and it's my birthday today too - guess it'll be sparling water not champagne now.

PinkButterfly · 26/01/2007 12:14

Happy birthday Vitomum - what a lovely present for you!! x

MrsMcJnr · 26/01/2007 12:17

Happy birthday! Mine was 29/12 and I got AF that day, I was gutted but my sweet Mum got up at 6am to bake me a cake (i'm 33 and still a spoilt little girl!) and I made the obvious wish when I cut it and here we are!

Didn't know what thread to post this on, so i am hijacking this one! (i am getting good at that!)
CONGRATULATIONS MrsMcBump! i am so unbelievsbly chuffed for you i cant tell you! i think we all kind of KNEW you would get your bfp this month after your BDing marathon, but you never want to tempt fate by saying it do you! you must have known really, didn't you? you must be Sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited and i think this site is FANTASTIC cos you can tell everyone straight away and get all the congratulations ( and boy, did you get a lot!), where in RL you are always inclined to wait a bit! (not that i could hold out any longer than 5 weeks with either of my pregnancies!)
don't leave us will you! like all these others ..........kingofbods, twix, chooster etc who SAID they wouldn't but were obviously lying out of their bottoms (big fat ones now i bet!!!). i know it must be a bit embaressing posting on a ttc thread once you have done it, so i understand! i think this thread is a FAB idea! dont let it slide girls cos i want to join properly when i get my BFP!

lovely to hear from you pg ladies and i hope you can be congratulating me soon too! i hope you are all feeling fab! i guess king of bods you should be officially 'blooming' by now! are you?

not sure if to post my message to fettle on here or not............

greedyforbabies · 26/01/2007 12:39

hello firststar too! hope you are enjoying your pg!

KitKat30 · 26/01/2007 12:46

Ahhh all the old girls together again! I had missed you lot!!

Apparently it's meant to be the hottest summer on record...not good for all the July/Aug babies!

No sign of my NHS 12 week scan yet - need to chase them next week. We've also booked a private scan at the Fetal Medicine Centre for mid-Feb. I dont know why as my NHS scan is also a nuchal scan - I think i wanted two opinions. 1st baby so am super paranoid about EVERYTHING!

Dont feel self conscious MrsMcJ - it'll be all the hormones speeding around your body. They made me feel terribly overwhelmed at first - I couldn't really equate what I was feeling with the fact that I was actually pregnant. It wasn't until we saw the scan that it all fell into place... so dont be too hard on yourself, your body is doing a million things right now and we are merely passengers!!

This thread is a great idea .. I'm a realtive newbie but please don't forget us. Some sprinkes of magic our way and mabye some more of the Jan thead may foloow you.

aHope you beans stick like superglu and good luck.

Chooster · 26/01/2007 14:02

Here you are!! Hello ladies... Some names are more familiar than others but its great to see you all. There's a really nice friendly vive on the ttc boards that I'm not sure you get anywhere else. The ante-natal boards are full of fab people but the chat on the ttc boards was great!

I stuck around for a while Greedy on teh december thread (honest) - But by the time I was back in the land of MN after xmas the January thread was full of people I didn't know Good to 'see' you on here - hopefully with some good news of your own soon!

Happy Birthday vitomum!!!! Great pressie!

So its going to be a hot summer eh? - Sounds great now, but I'll probably be cursing when I'm HUGE and trying to run after a toddler who doesn't want his suncream on.

For those with MS, its horrible when you are in the middle of it, but it will pass, and when it does you just feel SO good. I'm almost 15 weeks and although I'm still tired, I feel so much better than 2 weeks ago. Even managed to make it out for dinner with DH last night for the first time in months. (shame the food was rubbish

Anyway great idea for a new thread kitkat - Looking forward to hearing all your news!

Chooster · 26/01/2007 14:04

Ooops - Vibe not vive

conkertree · 26/01/2007 14:25

exactly what i am getting right now chooster - a big dose of energy after feeling rubbish for weeks and weeks. Enjoying food again, although DH's breath after his "vital" cafe latte every morning is still making me cringe.

can feel the start of the bump - cant remember the name now but somebody did tell me - so its all very exciting. Think even after the 12 week scan it didnt really sink in for me - more now that i have told most people, its a bit more real.

KitKat30 · 26/01/2007 14:34

How many weeks are you conkertree?

That 12 week milestone seems very far away at the moment!

OP posts:
fettle · 26/01/2007 15:25

Great idea for the new thread, I was feeling a little like I shouldn't be on the TTC threads, but I'm still a bit wary of proper antenatal threads, due to my 2 miscarriages last year. Fingers-crossed this one sticks.

4 +5 today, so really early still. Hopefully persuade GP for an early reassurance scan when I see her next week, or else it's going to be a long 8 weeks until they can hear a heartbeat - down here, you only get one scan at 20 weeks!!

back later - at work, so shouldn't really be on here now.
x

greedyforbabies · 26/01/2007 16:55

well hellooooooooooooo again.............looks like i can officially join this thread now! got 3 BFPs this afternoon! i am so happy i cant stop smiling! i also CAN NOT believe it! i thought i was completely without a hope this month! how wrong can you be hey!
so how do i count my weeks then fettle? i guess it will have to be from ovulation? so i ov'd 16 days ago? does that make me 4 + 2? if i go from my last period i am 7 weeks! that would be good hey!

Bodkin · 26/01/2007 17:08

WAAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAYYYYYYY! Blimey, what a day! I can't cope with the excitement of it all!

Greedy and MrsMc both getting BFPs on the same day????!!!! How fantastic is that????!!!!

Greedy my old lubber - I have been checking up on you! Don't think I have forgotten you! It's just it feels a bit awkward being on the TTC boards if you're not anymore. But anyway, that is all now irrelevant as dear Kitkat has started this lovely thread. And you now can officially join. Think I am starting to "bloom", well I'm not feeling sick or knackered all the time now, so that's a start. Still grey and pasty faced though....

So nice to see all the old faces again. Will be mostly spending my mumsnet time HERE!

Conkertree - glad I am not the only one who finds DPs breath a bit hard to bear since getting pg! Have to sleep facing the other way!

Happy birthday Vitomum - what a lovely pressie for you!
