OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 14:01

Sorry KitKat, crossed with you. I am 16dpo today so 4+1? I saw my GP yesterday and I'm to hand a sample in next Monday for a test, then if it's postive, I'm to see her again at the beginning of Week 7 to schedule an early scan because of the spotting and family history of ectopics and multiples. Its a waiting game I guess!

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 14:02

mrs! i got really horny when pg before! so tell your dh he could have that to look forward to!

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 14:04

Didn't know that Greedy but I don't have any of those left either! Glad to hear that there has not been as much today and you are feeling better about things. I know that NattyandThomasandBump had bleeding at the beginning of her pregnancy and it was the fact that she was having twins and lost one which was very sad but at least she had one. Natty - are you out there hon?

pinkranger · 30/01/2007 14:12

Greedy - i was on the ttc boards in march, got my BFP in july but sadley had a missed m/c in August , then stayed away from ttc and rejoined the boards in nov/dec ( i was ticklemepinkwithtinsel) -
For those first timers i have one DS of 4.3 and can still remember it clearly, i was in "established labour' for 4 hours which isnt to bad but done it all on gas and air as the epidual wasnt working for me!
IT BLOODY HURTS!!!!

but well worth it in the end!

pinkranger · 30/01/2007 14:12

No no no! You're all supposed to say that they popped out when you coughed. And that it only took 10mins from start to finish. That kind of thing... Honestly, you lot are rubbish...

PMSL at DP getting a taste for it in the last few weeks, MrsMcJ!!!

I was a big fan of "What to Expect" too. Have a very well thumbed copy from first pg. Have not actually opened it so far this time come to think of it! Also got the follow on, What to expect the First Year (DP and I called it The Manual )

Greedy, you sound like you are keeping chin well and truly up. I hope all is well for you tomorrow. I'll be hanging around the computer waiting for news...

Bodkin · 30/01/2007 14:22

Sorry, I mean DH, MrsMcJ

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 14:47

now i know you pinkranger! i remember your festive name! so you are 10wks already! oh my god!
twix - i am sure you have heard this before but giving birth DOES REALLY HURT! BUT it doesn't go on for long and its so worth it (obviously) and you sson forget! AND if you are anything like me you are amazed at yourself for weeks afterwards at being so clever and coping so well! i remember constantly saying to my dh " i can not believe i did that with only gas and air, i must be sooooooooooo hard!!" the most amazing thing about giving birth (apart from the baby at the end of it!) is the way that your body COMPLETELY takes over and you end up doing all sorts of things you swore you would never do! i remember them wheeling me down the coridoor in the hospital in JUST MY T-SHIRT (no knickers or trousers or anything to cover me up). they were moving me from the assessment room to the delivery room so they had to wheel me past lots of other couples in early stages of labour! i dont know how many men saw my bits that day! but i really didnt care at all at the time! i do now when i think back to it!

Hi everyone, please can I join?

I remember many of you from the TTC boards although I'm not a very frequent poster- have DD 2.9 yrs and work almost full time so I don't get tho the keyboard very often!

Got my BFP two weeks ago, now almost 7 wks (I think). Great to see lots of familiar names and also new people to meet, congratulations to everyone!

Tili · 31/01/2007 00:14

hi MrsmcJnr.
Hows it going is your dh looking after you?

I know that Im having a boy we have decided to call him Alex. My exact date is 24 april.
hopefully I wont go over Id ideally like it to be the week before as Bethany is off on her easter hols so that would be nice for her.

You must let me know when exactlly your due,and how your scans go.

Take care best wishes XXXXXX

MrsMcJnr · 31/01/2007 09:18

Pendulum I remember you, congratulations hon! I guess you must be due in Sept? hope it's a sticky one! I got my BFP last Friday I still can't believe I can say that! I think my EDD is 7/10 so very, very early days for me.

Tili - that's lovely news! apologies if I already knew that (somewhere in my head I think I did). I can't believe you are so far along. Time seems to be dragging for me at the mo, I just want to be more pregnant and feel safe, does that ever happen?

Can I ask all those who know, what is CM like in early pregnancy? sorry to be vulgar but I have very yellow thick CM. No itches or anything so no infections. Guess it could be to do with my cold? Have a sore throat now too

Thanks Firststar - that book I have "What to expect..." doesn't really tell you what to expect physically at this stage.

Tili · 31/01/2007 09:46

MrsMcJnr.

You soon will start to feel very pregnant but I havent had a safe feeling yet a little more relaxed maybe as my scans came back fine. But for me now panic is beginning to set in need to get a few more things for baby, need to do my hospital bag find someone to watch Beth if it happens when its just us here and of course the impending labour !!!

ooooooooh the excitement of it all is great though

Cant wait for your pregnancy tales we all have them xxx

Tili · 31/01/2007 09:48

by the way my cm is exactly the same and has been all the way through just a natural change just remember to keep an eye on it for any changes xx

Bodkin · 31/01/2007 13:27

MrsMc - could it be thrush? I know you said it wasn't itchy, but some people are susceptible to it during pregnancy. Might be worth keeping an eye on anyway. An increase in discharge is usual (tell me about it!), but thick and yellow sounds a little unusual.

The first few weeks will drag I'm afraid, until you get your first scan - make sure you get plenty of rest though - enjoy the power-naps while you can!

MrsMcJnr · 31/01/2007 14:04

Nope, defo not thrush, no discomfort either though that did cross my mind as I know it's common. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks

Chooster · 31/01/2007 14:58

Hey ladies - Like MrsMc I'd forgotten to look in the Pregnancy section when I've popped on MN - I hadn't actually forgotten you ladies but my PG brain has definately taken over - Cue embarassing moment the other week when my boss asked me a question I didn't quite hear so I sais "Sorry darling?" The wierd thing is I dont even call my DH darling

Good to catch up on news but I'm sorry to hear about your worries Greedy. I hope you'll be on here soon to say that HCG has gone up nicely - Everything crossed for you.

Greedy - you are so right about the labour thing... Before I had my DS I was concerned about things like having my legs waxed before I gave birth so I didn't have the embarassment of hairy legs. How naive was I!!!!! Hairy legs were the last of my worries with my bits on show for anyone who cared to take a peek! And then there's the worry that you may have a sneaky poo while pushing But its all worth it and great fun really . Lets face it we wouldn't be back here again if it was that bad.

I've updated my name on the roll call - I hope I picked up the latest version. Generally I'm doing well (MS gone, but had headaches for 3 days). I'm also having a fairly major wobble about my anomoly scan on the 21st feb. I has a 14 wk scan last week and I've got it in my head that I heard them (there were 2 consultants in the room due to my previous problem) talking about an issue with the spine development. But I really dont know whether I imagined. My DH didn't hear them say anything. I guess its just a waiting game (I know deep down I'm being paranoid!). Anyway am getting bloods done tomorrow for triple test so at least I'm doing something to get more info... I'm not a very patient person

Hope you are all well!!!

Hope tomorrow's bloods go well and try not to worry about 21/2, easier said than done I know.
