thanks girls! but you will have to keep your fingers crossed till wed! hcg was 418, if it has doubled by wed then the pg is still considered viable, if not, then i cry!

KitKat30 · 30/01/2007 08:28

Hi all. Nowt much to report, except I made a complete fool of myself at DD's preschool committee meeting last night. Long story, but basically I (and my best friend who's DD is at same preschool) were the only two who opted out from joining the committee (my excuse was I was having a baby, so didn't want to commit myself just yet - unfortunately there is another mum who is expecting No. 3 who joined up straightaway - damn her!) So when the chairman said, well, you two don't really need to stay for the rest of the meeting.... before she had finished the sentance I leapt from my chair exclaiming "Oh Good".

MUST REMEMBER TO ENGAGE BRAIN BEFORE OPENING MOUTH!

Tried to cover up my keenness to scarper, but to no avail. It did not look good....
Needless to say my friend thought it very hilarious...

Greedy - hang in there til Wednesday. Hope you're feeling OK.

KitKat30 · 30/01/2007 11:40

Ahh Bodkin - that made me chuckle!!

I'm still blushing to my roots! Dreading going to playgroup next monday at all!

Anyone else finding they're suffering with foot in mouth disease? Sure it's pregnancy related!

pinkranger · 30/01/2007 11:49

KitKat30 · 30/01/2007 12:14

Ooh pinkranger, I think you're my closest cycle buddy! So at 10 weeks could you see arms and legs??? That's fantastic! At my 8 week scan, the bean looked exactly like...well a big kidney bean!

No negative thoughts for you today - just lots of happy thoughts that you're over your milestone!

ooh thats exciting firststar - keep thinking its ages to go but then if you are 15 weeks - thats only 5 till 20 weeks (you can tell Maths was my strong point at school) and then its over the brink of the hill. And I'm about a week behind you, so it is true what they say about it speeds up once you get past the first trimester. Very exciting .

pinkranger · 30/01/2007 13:23

i have a EDD buddy - never had a cycle buddy!

was amazed at arms and legs as we had a scan at 8 weeks and all you could make out as a round shape of the head! we have one in 2 weeks when we get the results of our bloods and the lady said you can see so much more then!!!!!

Its a great day in the pink house!!

First star - cant belive its 15 weeks dosnt time fly!!!

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 13:27

twix! i dont think you have'cycle buddies' anymore once you are pg! you dont have a cycle do you, divvy! pinkranger should be your pg buddie!
did you change your name pinkranger? i vaguely recognise it, but i have been on here since nov ttc and i would have thought it would be more familiar. did you ease off MN for a bit, is that why i dont recognise you? tell me about you! how long were you ttc? any history? any kids already?

bodders! you make me laugh! i could picture it all perfectly in my head, and it made me chuckle! when i picture you (not that i do it often, honest!) you are holding a stained glass window! is that weird?

No that's not weird Greedy - I usually am! In fact, I've just had to raise my workbench to accomodate the teeny bump I am sporting by the evenings (when I am usually working). God knows what I will do when it is a proper bump, I've got work lined up right up until my due date! Typical! Just when I was hoping to spend the 8 months trolling around Mothercare and flicking through Bun In The Oven Monthly...

How are you feeling today?

DP has gone away for a few days - can anyone tell? i'm on Mumsnet PERMANENTLY!!!

Bodkin · 30/01/2007 13:36

Sorry Firsty, crossed with you as well! I'm really finding time flying now... Feel like I ought to be about 11 weeks or so, can't believe I'm over 16! My 1st pg went soooo much slower.

Ohhh I had forgotten about this thread ? it?s going to be a great place to keep up with everyone!

Hello Sideways we BDd every day from cd to cd17 (I ov?d cd17). Have to say, I didn?t do the legs in the air thing though I did try to stay put for a while. We used pre-seed on cd13, 15 & 17 too.

Tili ? thank you. It?s lovely to hear from you. I cannot believe how far on you are wow!!! Any gut feelings on flavour?

Congratulations Anisse!

My goodness AprilMeadow, you too, I just cannot believe how time has flown, how are you feeling?

Pinkranger what a lovely thing to see, and what a relief. So pleased for you!

I?m toying with the idea of ordering more tests, it just feels a long time till next Monday for the Drs test and after 2 strong ones on Fri am (1 digital and 1 Boots own) I got a bit freaked on Sunday at 2pm when the line on the last Boots own was barely there. That?s why I temped yesterday, just to check it was still high (it was). Am I being ridiculous? Greedy?s HCG level chat has got me worrying.

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 13:44

Crossed with lots of you - sorry!

KitKat30 · 30/01/2007 13:52

Argh Greedy!! Cycle/EDD/pregnancy buddy...you know what I mean Pregnancy brain has obviously already taken over...

As long as you dont get stressed with taking extra tests MrsMcJ, I'd say go for it. I did about 5 tests before I convinced myself it was actually happening! Have you gone to the GP yet?

Really struggling to do ANY work these days - just have no time what with Mumsnet, researching hospitals, deciding what to put in my labour bag (oh yes, I've actually gone insane), thinking about doulas etc etc etc!! My brain has gone into overdrive!!

Actually, I think I'm doing everything just to not think of the actual pain of childbirth. I'm still hopefully believing in magical storks... if only!! All you folks who have had kids before - please send us 1st timers a few reassuring words?!?

OP posts:
Bodkin · 30/01/2007 13:53

It doesn't sound like you need to worry too much, MrsMcJnr. As long as you feel ok, a faint line at 2pm shouldn't be too much to worry about, think of all the fluids you would have consumed by then to dilute the HCG!

KitKat30 · 30/01/2007 13:56

How many DPOs are you mrsmcj?

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 13:58

True Bodkin. I was gulping water all the way home from the Hen as the other girls in the car were sharing horrendous birth stories and I was very, very scared!

Sorry KitKat, that doesn't help you much does it! I can't bear to read the scary bit in my book yet, taking it a month at a time. I bought "What to expect when you are expecting". DH has read the Dad's section and thinks it's airy fairy! He just wanted to know if we could have sex, seems he's got a taste for it after the last few weeks!

greedyforbabies · 30/01/2007 14:00

reassuring words twix!........let me think!............. IT HURTS LIKE HELL!

bodders........i love the idea of a magazine called 'bun in the oven', how cute!

did i forget to give an update on me today!? must have done it on another thread or two! more bright red blood and clots this morning but not too much since. i am not holding out much hope but for some reason, i am not too upset today (see me on here tomorrow when i get my bld test results back, now THAT will be upset!)

mrs! i have done 7 tests so far! did you know you can use opks as hpts too? see peeonastick.com................its a fab site!
