Last thread ended with a series of Really Good News, so let's hope this one keeps up the trend!

Yay new thread and great title. So pleased for for the good news and good scans that have happened this week. It's helping keep my scanxiety about my 20 week scan on neXT Tues at bay Smile

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/01/2015 16:37

Still keeping everything quiet here. Neither me nor DP are ready to accept it 's real yet!

Babytinx11 · 14/01/2015 16:44

Hey all :)

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/01/2015 16:45

Hi all
Do you mind if I join? I am a bit late coming here but I have spent a bit of time on ttc after mc and didn't really realise this thread existed.
I had a mc somewhere between 5 and 6 weeks in September and was lucky enough to get my next bfp right at the end of October. I have spent ever since then in a state of anxiety, relieved slightly by a private reassurance scan at 10 weeks and the main nhs one at 12.

I am 14 weeks now and seem to be feeling very anxious again, partly because after having had a bit of movement a couple of weeks ago, have had nothing since. I am still being sick and feeling awful though so I am telling myself that despite the fact that my bump doesn't seem to be happening that everything is ok in there. I'm guessing the anxiety never really goes away once you have a loss...

I can see a few familiar names on this thread, hope you are all doing well.

Welcome purple.

Thanks for the new thread Commander.

Just marking my place Smile

50degreesintheshade · 14/01/2015 17:04

Huge congratulations to everyone who has had positive scan results, it's lovely to read ??
It's a week today until my next scan but I seem to be very calm about it. I think it's a mixture of total denial and knowing already that the cancer isn't back ??
Hope everyone continues to have a good week.

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/01/2015 17:08

Thanks all! Lovely to be here.

Littlelady33 · 14/01/2015 17:11

Just marking my place!

charlieis30 · 14/01/2015 17:54

Thanks for the new thread commander

Welcome purple, I remember you from the TTC after MC thread, great to hear your pregnancy is progressing nicely. Anxiety is completely normal, I've far surpassed the stage I had both my other MCs and am still terrified!

HollyBen · 14/01/2015 18:11

Thanks for the new thread commander
Good to hear the scan went well tori
Welcome purple
Hope it is nothing to worry about baby You really have been through it x

Mslad · 14/01/2015 18:11

Thanks for the new thread commander.

Welcome purple Great that you had two good scans. For me, all my symptoms lifted at week 14 and I didn't feel movement until week 19 (even then it wasn't much movement)..... it's a bit of a weird time when you don't feel a lot so it can by worrying. after 16 weeks my midwife allowed me pop in every 2 weeks to listen to the heartbeat- maybe you could ask for something like that? Or a lot of people get a private scan just to help their nerves.

happygojo · 14/01/2015 18:13

Hello everyone.... I seem to have chilled out from my mini meltdown.... For now anyway.

Today I am pregnant!

Mummytogoldie · 14/01/2015 18:23

Yey went for scan saw baby and heartbeat :)) measuring 6 weeks exactly and it's 6 weeks 2 days since my mc do can't work that one out but hey ho :) still saying hcg very high but they are taking that as a good sign. Having another scan in 3 weeks :) so happy x

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/01/2015 18:28

Excellent scan news - brilliant!

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 18:39

Hi new thread!
Hi purple :)

Congrats on all the brilliant scan news today! :)

I am so bloated I look 6 months pregnant, not one.
Boobs still not sore though.

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/01/2015 18:48

Thanks for the lovely welcome. Mslad and Charlie, it is a funny time isn't it. I'm looking forward to the time when I look pregnant and feel regular movements.

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 18:51

Ladies can i just ask about vitamins please?
I can't swallow the massive ones. Currently still taking the ttc vitamins which are fine for folic acid but not enough vitamin d. Thinking of taking the boots own folic acid and vitamin d as that's all nhs suggest anyway.

charlieis30 · 14/01/2015 19:00

goldie that's great news! It's been a stressful time for you, glad you got such a great outcome!

treacle honestly, for a while there (between 7 and 10ish weeks) I was only taking a couple of tiny folics, and that was only every couple of days. I honestly wouldn't worry too much. For centuries people had perfectly healthy babies without taking fists full of vitamins every day!

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 19:01

That's true, thanks charlie.
Should I just carry on with the ttc ones for a bit then? At least I can manage them.

thesmallbear · 14/01/2015 19:02
