Last thread ended with a series of Really Good News, so let's hope this one keeps up the trend!

Hi treacle I am just taking the boots folic acid and vit d. At the end of the day if you have a healthy and varied diet then you should be ok for everything else. Pregnancy vitamins just made me bloated and extra rough feeling last time. My step sister (who is a nurse, has had 2 MCs and now 24 weeks preg) said that you don't need anything else, maybe some vit c, and that boots do a multi vit without vit a.

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 19:13

Thanks happy, I'll just carry on with these until I can get to boots and swap.
My diet has been pretty shocking recently I have to admit. I just don't fancy anything healthy. I'd rather not eat at the moment.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/01/2015 19:16

I've started craving corned beef and tomato toasties (my dad used to make them for me when I was small). I've had to order a toastie maker! Not meant to be buying stuff like that as we're moving at the end of March!

CommanderShepard · 14/01/2015 19:31

Feeling a bit twingy tonight; knicker checking like nobody's business. At this point with miscarriage brown discharge was about to start, so a bit wibbly.

treacle I know exactly what you mean; I just have no desire to eat at all.

I'm on constant knicker watch. Even though I never got to that stage with my MMC.

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 19:34

Glad it's not just me! Most people keep saying they're starving!
Saying that though, I indulged on Italian tonight and then chocolate so now I'm feeling it...

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/01/2015 19:40

Me too Treacle! Chocolate pud I had was really rich. Not sure I'll be having one again!

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/01/2015 19:44

I haven't been able to eat properly for weeks either! Guess this pregnancy thing is different for everyone.
Shepard how many weeks are you?

broodylicious · 14/01/2015 19:56

I can't even stomach the word chocolate at the minute, let alone let it anywhere near my mouth! Last week, I had four squares of a big bar and ten minutes later, it came back up like fondue ConfusedBlush

5 weeks tomorrow, purple. Thing that's buoying me up is DH, who laughed when I said I wasn't hungry and just wanted juice and told me this was exactly how I was with DD and nothing like it with the miscarriage. So that's a positive, I think.

Interesting that you didn't get sickness sunbathing, most people act as if without morning sickness you're doomed!

I wish I could just take the multi vitamins but I'm so crap with tablets.

That's how I'm feeling sunbathing. How far are you now?

Mslad · 14/01/2015 21:17

No sickness at all for me either Treacle! Tiredness was really my only symptom. And in my mmc pregnancy my boobs were killing me, but they haven't hurt me at all this time, which really worried me in the first trimester. Just goes to show that every pregnancy is different.

Treaclepie19 · 14/01/2015 21:24

That's good to hear mslad :)
I'm so emotional today. Cried twice at work and multiple times at home. Work is stressful but wow, I'm emotional.

MamaLazarou · 14/01/2015 21:29

Hello, I think this thread is my people. I am about 6 weeks pg after having a mc in September and am bricking it. In many ways, this is actually harder than having the mc itself.

Have had a tiny, tiny, minuscule bit of spotting today (thinner than a silk thread and about 3mm long) and am now feeling crampy.

Reassurance, hugs and general solidarity gratefully received.

Good luck, everyone.

thesmallbear · 14/01/2015 21:32

Am I the only one in the hungry camp then? Still waking up most nights at 2am, 3am or 4am. When I wake up all I can think about is food and I have to get up and make toast!

I feel the same Tori!
I keep thinking about veggies and how lovely it would be to have a proper meal but when it gets to meal time I'd rather have something easy and bland and force it down.
We went out for Italian tonight. It was nice but I feel ill now.

broodylicious · 14/01/2015 21:49

Yep, another one the same here - can eat a few peas but no other veggies. Staple food is jacket potato with cheese at the min. Had mac and cheese last night though which was totally divine. Fruit I'm ok with (melon is my friend to stave off dehydration as water often makes me sick) but I have to know when to stop or it all comes back again. Yukky.

Told dd about baby today. She said "baby?!?! What baby?!?!" It was so funny. We asked her if she was excited about becoming a big sister and she replied with "err nope!" (She's going to be three in March, full of humour).

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/01/2015 21:54

I know exactly how you feel Tori, I am missing nice food so much. All the things I normally love such as veggies, curries, stirfrys etc are completely off the menu, to be replaced by soup, cheese and potatoes, which still make me nauseous. I remember this from last time, the main thing I remember from coming out of my c-section is suddenly having the desire to eat!
