Last thread ended with a series of Really Good News, so let's hope this one keeps up the trend!

small, my boobs seem to have a continent of their own too. I need to get measured really. I went to mothercare last time and wasn't at all impressed so went back to trusty m&s x

thesmallbear · 15/01/2015 19:51

I feel your pain broody! Maybe I'll stick with M&S then. M&S do that fitting by sight though, so I wondered if any of the other actually measure you properly with a tape measure.

broodylicious · 15/01/2015 20:15

I've always been physically measured, with a tape and awkwardness, at m&s. I didn't think it's be possible to do a "by sight" accurate measurement! Although I do know a few men from my past who would probably call it quite accuratelyWink

thesmallbear · 15/01/2015 20:26

My M&S doesn't use a tape measure. They ask what bra size you are wearing and then they bring you a few bras in a number of sizes around that size. You try them all on and they give you your size by which one fits best.

CommanderShepard · 15/01/2015 20:38

Highly recommend thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/ who advise against tape measures - I'm a 30G thanks to their help and curiously, I don't get much bigger in pregnancy (good job really!) - just firmer.

If there's one near you, I really rate Bravissimo's fitting service.

Thanks Commander, I'll give them a try at the weekend.

CommanderShepard · 15/01/2015 20:43

Hmm, they do now mention tape measures! Going mad I am, clearly.

Well, it is happening to me again, I am afraid. The bleeding started this afternoon and now the pain too. Best of luck to you all with your pregnancies. I hope you all have wonderful babies. Maybe I will be back one day.

X

Treaclepie19 · 15/01/2015 21:29

Thanks sunbathing, work isn't helping and I know I should get signed off but I can't bear to. They're in such a state atm I don't want to make more problems.
My boobs are really hurting tonight after all these days of saying nothing.

I am so, so sorry mama. It just isn't fair. Sending hugs xxx

longestlurkerever · 15/01/2015 21:46

Really sorry to hear that mama. Sending you lots of hugs. If you want to come and join us on the rmc thread. There is lots of sympathy and good advice. X

thesmallbear · 15/01/2015 21:51

I'm so sorry Mama. Life really is shit sometime. Take care of yourself Flowers

twilightstruggle · 15/01/2015 22:01

I'm really sorry for your loss Mama. Hope you're as good as can be and are being taken care of. I also second longest's signposting to the rm thread. It's got me through some really tough times. X

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/01/2015 22:02

So sorry Mama, that is terrible news. Hope you have lots of support there. Thinking of you Thanks

Treacle even if you don't get signed off try not to let them overload you. Have you thought about when you might tell them?

Treaclepie19 · 15/01/2015 22:04

I've told my deputy who is acting head purple but she's really not helping.
If she keeps on ill have to just tell her that I cant cope and if she carries on ill be at the doctors ill.
Problem is I'm no good at confrontation.

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/01/2015 22:13

If you've told her and she isn't helping then you have given her a chance to meet you half way. Just tell her that your health is the most important thing and you will be doing what you need to to protect it. Easier said than done I knowHmm

Treaclepie19 · 15/01/2015 23:12

Definitely easier said than done.
Hadn't thought of that sunbathing, I'll see how I go.
I think I'd be just as stressed being signed off and worrying about going back.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 16/01/2015 06:44

So, week 5 begins. I'm trying to not dwell on the fact that as it was a blighted ovum, at this time in my first pregnancy the only thing growing was the sac.
Today I am pregnant.
I have my midwife appointment and slightly past 12 week scan appointment.
I have to stop myself being a negative nancy on the September 15 thread. Someone due about the same time as me has bought Christmas outfits in the sale! It's so early! The only thing I've bought is pre-natal vitamins. Keeping my fear to myself though.

charlieis30 · 16/01/2015 08:10

donna I'm due in July and even though we're almost all in 2nd trim at this stage I still can't cope with the thread and rarely visit. Outfits I can cope with, but they're talking about breast pumps and strollers. I don't really go there at all. This thread is my place!

broodylicious · 16/01/2015 08:20

Christmas outfits already?! Oh my goodness! I envy the excitement of the innocent.

charlie, I hear ya.

Hello, please can I join? I've just had my BFP about 10dpo. Mc on 19th dec at 6 weeks. Really nervous and praying this one is ok.
Have dd (2) already, the thought of another amazing person joining our family is brilliant but I am trying not to let myself get carried away. Hoping they'll scan at 8 weeks as I was high risk with dd.

happygojo · 16/01/2015 08:55

Hi doctor like you I had a blighted ovum last time and have the fear. My gynae said that a blighted ovum.... Albeit it common is so unlikely to happen again in the same person. I am 9 weeks now and haven't had a scan but mostly hopeful (some days more than others) oh and sod your AN thread! Mine were organising their mat leave when they were 6 weeks! I am jealous of their blissful ignorance but I have a feeling that what happened to me, happened for a reason. I hope we all have healthy pregnancies xxx
