Last thread ended with a series of Really Good News, so let's hope this one keeps up the trend!

hi commander well remembered! yes it's this afternoon, not until after 3. will report back after!

Littlelady33 · 15/01/2015 12:22

Thanks tori. Will give it a go. Good luck Charlie!

cavamonster · 15/01/2015 12:25

Looking for some positive stories to come forward hopefully... I had my first "reassurance" internal scan yesterday at exactly six weeks and all they could see was the gestation sac and after a lot of probing a very small blob - they said at six weeks that you couldn't always see much but it's hit me really hard and cant seem to get it in my head that there is still a chance it will grow.

Have really been trying to think positive and now just feeling really low...I go back next Wednesday to see what's happened

So has anyone got success stories following seeing little at 6 weeks??

broodylicious · 15/01/2015 12:42

Good luck charlie, will be thinking of you x

little, we swear by Manuka honey here for coughs and colds. Buy the highest rating you can afford. Hope you're feeling better soon Thanks

High littlelady paracetamol, honey and lemon. Boiled sweets. Sleep sleep sleep! if you get super blocked nose there are saline sprays you can use. Steam in the shower might help just be careful you don't overheat! Xx

CommanderShepard · 15/01/2015 12:59

I recommend paracetamol and hot Ribena.

Feeling really weepy today, I think because at this point last time I started bleeding. A lot of knicker checking today and I just can't relax. Finding it hard to remember that Today I Am Pregnant :(

Shepard keep telling yourself it will be worth it for your baby and if it gets worse hang onto that! I haven't had it as bad as you did last time but every time it gets me down, which is frequently, I remind myself that when I had the mc I was actually wishing I was sick.

Good luck for this afternoon Charlie, will keep fingers and toes crossed for you.

I have just found out that one of my local friends from last time round who had her dc days after me is due a couple of weeks after me. So excited, all being well I will have a mat leave buddy.

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/01/2015 13:01

Cross post Shepard I remember that day well and it is horrible but you have just been sick, good sign!

tannyLoo · 15/01/2015 13:30

Hello all, just marking my place. Will have to catch up after work...

thesmallbear · 15/01/2015 13:35

Just on my lunch so will read back properly later. Thanks to all those who advised on the period type pains. They eased off after I had a number 2, so maybe it was more of a digestive thing Blush

longestlurkerever · 15/01/2015 13:49

cava could you be out by a couple of days? That would make a big difference at this stage. I have had every different result after measuring behind: mmc, realising I had counted wrongly Blush and just plain old unexplained measuring a week out but a healthy dd at the end. In your position I would be trying to think positively but I understand your worry. Handhold. X

CommanderShepard · 15/01/2015 14:18

Waiting for call back from GP as have got strange pain sort of where my leg and bikini line meet, under my c section scar. Terrified. Have come home and am sobbing.

commander hand hold being provided. Hope you're ok.

twilightstruggle · 15/01/2015 14:35

Another hand hold Commander. Hope it turns out to just be one of those weird pregnancy things.

twilightstruggle · 15/01/2015 14:47

Oh cava. I'm sorry you haven't had a reassuring scan experience. As longest says it's the stage where there's a great deal of variety in what's seen, though I know that doesn't make it any less stressful. Hugs. Is there anything you can do to take your mind off it a bit?

cavamonster · 15/01/2015 15:10

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. My dates are accurate so just have to hope its a late developing little bean. It's the strange feeling of after everything I have tried to get to this place that I can't do anything now to help it along other than take it easy and follow my treatment plan. hasn't stopped me googling "ways to help embryo grow" like a lunatic

I will definitely never have a scan before 8 weeks again unless essential - too much of a head wreck.

I'm catching up on my planner programmes whilst kidding on working but got concentration span of a goldfish!!

CommanderShepard · 15/01/2015 15:43

Well, that's just embarrassing. Spoke to duty GP who thinks it's just a pinched nerve or groin strain, and was generally very reassuring. He pointed out that the odds are in my favour and while it's natural to worry it's not the most productive of activities.

DH is on his way home though so he can get DD from nursery and I can rest up, although it feels like all I ever do at the moment is rest up...

Hi team! 12w scan went exceedingly well, baby was swimming around happily (upside down for most of the scan!) Measuring ahead so now 13w second trimester woohoooo!
The third time might in fact be the charm!

longestlurkerever · 15/01/2015 16:25

Yeay charlie!

Commander - I had that with dd. Really quite acute pain in my groin. Ended up going to maternity triage on my midwife advice but I think it was just round ligament pain. Have had it to a certain extent this time too but am more relaxed about it this time (relatively speaking). Don't feel silly - so many weird symptoms with pregnancy.

Woop woop Charlie - fabulous news.

Glad the Doctor was able to reassure you commander.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/01/2015 16:52

Excellent Charlie! Got home to my scan letter. It's on the 10th March so quite a while to wait but I have my midwife appointment a good month before then and I'll mention how paranoid I am and hope she can reassure me.
Regardless, today I am pregnant and tomorrow it will be the start of week 5.

worriedmum100 · 15/01/2015 17:18

Congratulations Charlie - that's great news.

I've booked my early scan today. Will be 6 +1. Worried it might be too early and ill end up in limbo so the sonographer is going to call me tomorrow to dis cuss.

I am 4 weeks exactly today. Feeling mostly oknow except today on work when I had a very long and fraught meeting in a very hot office. Felt a bit rough by the end of that. Boobs are sore and wish I could take my bra off!

I too need to step away from the sticks. I counted 16 tests in the bathroom today [ashamed].

Treaclepie19 · 15/01/2015 17:19

Thanks ladies xxx
I'm feeling so teary today. I feel like this pregnancy is doomed.
I was so positive with my lovely strong lines initially and now with the cramps and line today (I know) I just feel do deflated.
Gah :( 4+4
