Ooh winnoh what a horrible thing, do totally get your reasons for it. Girl at work had same thing but it was before her 20 week scan and she was very definitely pg with big bump, think baby had stopped moving before scan and bad news at but. Felt so awful for her. She now has 2 children but did find any miscarriage talk etc v difficult to deal with.

bunny it's such a magical time eh with the weeing and puking!! This has happened to me too but not when pg!!

Totally feeling the tight trouser vibe. Stomach is really tight & big! It feels almost sore, anyone else feel like this? Dh looked at me last night and said I looked it! I think I look fat but he was lovely, made me feel better!

TMI alert: Browny purple squishy bit of spotting today, wish spotting would go away!

Anyone else watching the footierain is whooping Brazil's ass!!

greatbigbushybeard · 08/07/2014 22:05

rp how horrible. Have you got that from booking in forms or did you look it up yourself?

Bunnygirlie · 08/07/2014 22:37

Such a magical time! A phrase that I would not use for pregnancy lol!

Sorry feather I didn't mean to stress you about the worrying never stops. It does get easier after 12w scan, and then the heartbeat at 16w and the 20w scan Smile and then the flutters and kicks start!!!

win I would just start ASAP with pelvic floors so you get into a habit! I am always forgetting!

RP tmi but I found the amount of discharge does increase for some when pregnant! I still have to wear liners.

bushy I got my my form from mw at booking in, she signed it for me and said to send off once scan confirmed my dates.

yorkiebilb · 08/07/2014 23:13

win so pleased your scan went well. Completely understand your reasons for it. I had a mmc as well as have had quite a few scans so far as I wanted to know ASAP if something was wrong.

bunny thanks for the pelvic floor reminder! I always forget on an evening!

Shock At the football tonight!

greatbigbushybeard · 08/07/2014 23:56

Bunnylove that pelvic floor lady! isn't she fab!!

winohhh · 09/07/2014 11:25

Love the pelvic floor lady! Great video! I'll definitely try and be more conscientious with my exercises (although prob not till after my next scan!!)

Bushy, sorry you've had more spotting. How long to wait till your scan?

FeatherFeather11 · 09/07/2014 14:47

Experienced berries - I have a dilemma. Meant to be going away with friends this weekend and just found out that one of their children, who won't be there, has chicken pox. Is it ok for me to be around the father who's been looking after him all week? I've had CP before, but I'm worried about getting shingles. Have left a message for the midwife but just wondered what you all thought...

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/07/2014 19:02

Feather have you read [[

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/07/2014 19:03

Second attempt this

Personally I wouldn't risk it but I'm a worrier by nature

FeatherFeather11 · 09/07/2014 19:14

Thanks merk. Yes, I read it. Just spoke to a doc at my epu who said as long as the kid isn't there, and that I've had it before and so have his parents, there's no way I can get CP or shingles. Hmm. Not sure if I'm being over cautious not to go, or whether it will be fine. All sources say it's fine though. Gah! Who knows!

RevoltingPeasant · 09/07/2014 20:10

The a Yellow Peril was back tonight Hmm yeah I know Bunny, it's not the amount it's the colour that worries me. So either I'm having a veeeery slow MC over several weeks or a mmc - or this is just my new normal!

Boo to spotting!

Bushy no I didn't look that up, that was in a letter sent to me by the NHS. My mar exemption certificate which is triggered by booking in appt, so you will get yours soon. Will be v interested to see if the wording is the same?

Oh, and the tight tummy? That's why you want elasticated trews - ping! Wink

RevoltingPeasant · 09/07/2014 20:11

Agree with Merk that I wouldn't go, but that is based on my own hormonal emotions rather than science solis probably best ignored!

greatbigbushybeard · 09/07/2014 22:30

Good god the 'like a girl' video by always has just neatly made me cry!! It was linked on pelvic floor lady's website. Is this of hormones??!!pelvicguru.com/2014/07/03/this-powerful-likeagirl-commercial-went-viral-check-out-why/

Ooh feather not sure about that one. I suppose if all sources say ok then it should be ok but it might bother you. Will it be really flaky if you cancel this late??

Football tonight is so boring compared to last night!!

FeatherFeather11 · 09/07/2014 22:34

Boo to yellow peril, rp. I know you're worried about it but I really do think it's not unusual when pregnant. As the ElderBerries (not in age, but in pregnancy!), it seems anything goes and the only thing that's worrying is the red, which you don't have, right.

As for tight trews, I'm currently laying on the sofa with my jeans totally unbuttoned while scoffing an almond magnum Blush. I really need to start eating some real food soon!

Not sure what to do about about this weekend now. Might ring epu back and speak to my nice midwife in the morning to see what she says as I'm concerned. Thanks for your thoughts on it merk and rp.

FeatherFeather11 · 09/07/2014 22:36

X post bushy! That video made me well up when I saw it too! Yes, it would be really flaky to bail this weekend: it's a close mates birthday and he's hired a cottage for ten of us by the sea. No kids, just grown ups BBQ-ing and romping on the beach. It's going to be lovely! I really want to go!
Waaaahhh!

greatbigbushybeard · 09/07/2014 22:46

Sounds lush feather. Check with your midwife tomorrow then. Ha ha to the magnum, had a cornetto earlier- nom nom!!

greatbigbushybeard · 09/07/2014 22:49

Ooh, got our confirmation for kings wear earlier and they attached list of good places to eat and the ship inn was on there! I can't wait for a bit of seaside action. I'm planning on going all out on the food as I can't drink!! It's going to be hard not having a cider... I loves a cider I does!!

winohhh · 10/07/2014 11:13

Just had my booking in appointment. Don't think much of my midwife. She seemed really inexperienced and poked around in my arm for ages before deciding she couldn't get a blood sample and I need to go to the hospital for it. Grr. I'll try and go tomorrow after my arm has healed a bit!

What did you decide about the weekend feather?

Just fancy a magnum now!

FeatherFeather11 · 10/07/2014 18:25

Ouch wino I hate it when they get all stabby. Grr! Hope you had a magnum.

bushy what about zero alcohol cider? Know it's not the same, but may be worth taking a few in your luggage?

Have decided to go this weekend. I can't wrap myself up in cotton wool and after having talked to the midwife this morning I'm confident that science is on my side. I need to stop worrying so much about every tiny thing and projecting my negative thoughts about this pregnancy. rp is right with her "today I am pregnant" mantra. That's how I'm feeling today anyway.

How is everyone else? rp I got some yellow peril today. Urgh!

RevoltingPeasant · 10/07/2014 20:00

Today I am knackered. I had possibly the least useful day of my entire career. I had leftover mac n cheese and now I am on a massive carb sleepiness and want to go to bed.

It is still broad daylight Confused

greatbigbushybeard · 10/07/2014 21:07

rp that's fine. I remember a friend saying they were in bed every night at 8 in early pg so don't worry, just do it!!

feather go you! think we all need to be more positive. Know what you mean about trying to stop wrapping yourself in cotton wool. One of our teachers wants to do a staff v kids rounders match. I was a bit anti it thinking if I run round it might start off the spotting (exertion seems to) and also I don't want to get hit by a flying ball. Then I thought for god's sake stop being so wet, you probably will get out straight away so nothing to worry about!

Yeah could do zero ciders but think I'd rather have real thing or nothing at all. Have you tried them? If they taste half decent I might. Had a snifter of champagne at the christening on Sunday, left rest of the glass, was v nice tho!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/07/2014 08:02

RP the yellow peril will be your new normal. Take our shares in liners and get used to it. Its one of the downsides of pregnancy. On the plus side you will probably not need to shave your legs that often, which I enjoyed Grin

Bunnygirlie · 11/07/2014 08:30

feather enjoy your weekend!

merk I'm finding that too! hardly any hair growth! it's great.

FeatherFeather11 · 11/07/2014 11:42

Can I ask when the hair growth starts to slow?? Mine isn't but that may be because of my pcos and I'm a bit hairy anyway Blush. Here's hoping!

Tallyra · 11/07/2014 13:06

ladies, push for your exemption cards if you haven't had them yet. my mw forgot to do mine. I was on a.ti sickness drugs for the first 16w and ended up paying for so many of them. they can be claimed back though, if you tell them you need a claim receipt. don't be out of pocket.
