Hi everyone. Chatty I'm glad you decided to join us Smile

I have DS2's 4th birthday party to get through tomorrow - we have outsourced most of it to Forest School leader so not too stressful, and weather forecast is sunny- yay! I have been making tiny bottles of fairy dust and icing cupcakes all day, very Martha Stewart.
I am 37 weeks today, once the party is done and dusted I can get on with having a baby.....

Thanks for the lovely welcome all.
I'm off to Cornwall for a week tomorrow with DD (22months) and DH. Really looking forward to it. I self referred online to maternity services today, so I feel like I'm getting into the system again.
Irrationally however, I'm wondering if I'll still be pregnant when I get back. Had shooting pains on the left today, so have been working hard at keeping it real between the packing and pains!
A whole 8 months of this to look forward to hopefully... X
Thanks for making me feel so welcome x

Chatty I had a t69 (partial mole) last year, it was a bloody nightmare (basically a blighted ovum requiring numerous blood tests afterwards). This time I had brown spotting. I even had 2 small red bleeds. Bean is now 23 weeks and the only measurement outside the norm is a "fat belly" which suggests she might come out chubby. Fx you also end up with a rather boring pregnancy!

Fedup sure baby isn't phased by Peppa Pig slides! :)
I love days out. Its the teacher in me. Future DC is going to have plenty of "what I did at the weekend" one day (and work is going to have lots of "they've got a new nature trail at xyz, anyone mind if I run a trip?).

Did the " Big Night In" last night. Shattered! All we did was et pizza and watch Netflix. Accidentally upset mate by telling her (after weaning her last DC) you DONT have to be teetotal when bfing. She has older HCP in the country. She is quite posh and a wine/artisan cider type, not a binge drinker. It was like "Nooooo! I could have had a glass of wine with dinner? Really? Nooo!"
Oops. Me with my big-city ways.

London the dreams mean nothing. Although I had my first "with a baby" dream, it wasn't dramatic or spiritual... It was about DH strapping a small person into a buggy and us going to Asda. Wishing you many boring/positive dreams of that style!! Thinking of you waiting for scan ...98% all will be OK! And 1% of the 'not OK' are treatable and not life threatening so 99% bubs is happy in there!

Baking Party sounds fabulous! Lovely weather here- hope same for you.

Joosie shooting pains are often muscular or poo related on the left. Sending you kind wishes of constipation of all things - not dangerous, a symptom, explains the pain! :) Enjoy your break!

This is a bit of a Blush one! Anyone being driven nuts by raunchy dreams? I had this in one of my other pregnancies and kept waking up with really painful contractions in my uterus. Had it again at the start of this pregnancy but then they thankfully just stopped. Last night, back again! It's not uncomfortable, it's plain painful! I've told my DH to not be sexy at all but he said he can't help the way he is :D It was so string last night I was sure I'd bleed but so far just tons of sticky CM. The nausea is only getting worse too. Which I really hope means the other little bean is growing. I now have taken to carrying my bathroom bin around with me to hurl into. The other day I looked at a thread about how to combat morning sickness (all day sickness) and there were some women saying "well luckily for me I never had morning sickness and felt great through my pregnancy". Is it too much to ask for people like that to just shut up and let the rest of us have a gripe about feeling like we're going to die?!

Amum I get the dreams also like a hormonal teen think everyone not 80+ (age or stone lol) "ooh he's rather dishy" haha! I get the pains after big pops... Think any contractions/blood round that zone triggers them off but they're harmless. Tbh would rather have rude dreams than poop pain lol!
DH appears to be one of those odd ones who finds bump sexy. He's like "its so big and warm" lol!

Redandchecker I've had 2 erpc procedures and am worried too.

Have u spoken to any of your doctors or midwives on this? I'm told its not a major concern.

How far along are you

Hi amuminwaiting, how are you feeling today? This time I have not looked forward to scans either. My mmc did change how I feel about them.

Hi joosiewoosie, minibagel and Chattycat78.

It's eyes half closed isn't it? Just thinking "please be ok, please be ok". And our bodies are so sneaky you can't even rely on feeling like death to let you know it's all alright in there. I allowed myself a few minutes of fantasising about having them both in my life today.

Not a good day here. Woke up at 6am with pain across the top of my bump. Felt a bit sick so tried a couple of biscuits but it didn't help. Next had two lots of diarrhoea (different to colitis diarrhoea). Managed to struggle through a shower, but was sick after. Had two more episodes of each now, although the pains I was getting aren't so bad. Missing the nice day as stuck indoors near the bathroom!

mummy2to I had the length of my cervix measured at a scan and it was a good length.
I haven't spoken to my midwife yet but was told if I have any further concerns then to ask my midwife for an internal. I will ask them to measure again at 20 weeks though as my next midwife appt isn't until 28 weeks! I am 17 weeks.

I was told unless your cervix is 2.5 or under there's nothing to worry about! :-)

amum hope you're still feeling hopeful. Sickness and no blood is good, keep your chin up! :)

Nerdy oh dear. I have some really bad digestion days, both extremes - runny and hard. Grim, but Dr says normal. Perhaps it is that, as colitis wouldn't rule out hormone tummy upsets.

I had a lot of mucus today (tmi) being me, paranoid my plug is leaking. Its my usual creamy colour stuff, just quite a bit and thick. Realistically far more likely to be thrush really, isn't it? I'm 23 weeks.

Hello everyone, thought I should update on what has happened today. As you know I went for a scan on Thursday, HB was still there but they noticed a slight separation on the womb lining. Cut to today and I noticed that the bleeding seemed to be slightly heavier than it has been. No pain though. Had a lovely afternoon with my DDs on the beach (we're fortunate to live literally 2mins away from it!) but when we got home and I went to the loo I had filled the pad with blood. Went to the loo again about an hour later, as I was weeing I felt a slight pressure and heard a plop. Tried to have a look but due to my clean freak nature the loo water is always blue and bubbly! So impossible to see anything. Am 99.9% certain I have MC. Feeling quite numb at the moment. P*ed off that myself and the hubby have been through such an emotional week and it's ended this way. Also that the month I would have been due the last baby I MC'd I have lost this one too. Sorry for the downer on such a lovely day. Glad to hear positive news from people though.

aMuminwaiting · 17/05/2014 19:38

So sorry Kloulou. Could it be some of the lining you felt go into the loo? Did they give you any indication of what to expect regarding the separation? Did they say the bleeding may get heavier? How is it now?

squizita · 17/05/2014 19:59

Kloulou so sorry to hear this. Can you get to a hospital? If you're filling pads that quickly you need to get checked out. Hope its lining and not the sac. Thinking of you.

CorporeSarnie · 17/05/2014 20:16

Oh klou Thanks, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that it was lining. Can you call 111 and get them to advise or refer you? Thinking of you.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 17/05/2014 21:17

klou I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it doesn't sound good because I have had clot plopping out before. Hope you are getting support to get through tomorrow. I assume you can go back for another scan on Monday when the EPU opens? Thinking of you.

Report
OneLittleToddleTerror · 17/05/2014 21:20

And definitely go to A&E if the very heavy bleeding doesn't stop. They took me very seriously when I went there. If you find nothing can contain those clots and that you are stuck to the loo because of the bleeding, it is very serious.

Report
Kloulou · 17/05/2014 21:59

The bleeding has slowed right down now. Over the week I had started to notice a pattern, larger bleed with a few small clots in the morning (obvs due to gravity) then a lighter bleed throughout the day. By this time it would be barely there, slight spots on the pad and a bit when I wipe. Today I filled the pad, changed it twice... Since then, it is slightly heavier but nothing like when I last had a MC? Just a bit heavier than what I've been used to at this time in the week.
My head is all over the place, if I'm honest I don't think I can face another 'green mile' walk for another scan. My mum suggested to take it easy for the week, look after myself and do another pg test towards the end of next week, then take it from there? I was so sure I had MC now I don't know??
Regarding the lining they said it would end with a lot of brown old blood. I'm still showing fresh tho.
Honestly, I've been through some awful stuff in my life but this really takes the biscuit. I was mortified when I had that MC in sept.... I would give anything to have it happen that way again (if you understand what I mean) we've really been through the mill this week and I felt kind of ok it was all over before but now I'm not so sure?! Why are our bodies so complicated?!

Report
fedupofrainydays · 17/05/2014 22:02

Oh klou Thanks
I would go to A&E too if you are bleeding heavily. I so hope it was just a clot and is lining related rather than a mc.
Thinking of you xx
