OOOOH. Ouch. Got what is either ligament pain or stuck wind all down my right side for about 10 min. It was excruciating - I was considering calling the midwife for advice as I thought 'it can't just be that, is something wrong with my uterus?'. It's calmed down a lot now thankfully.
Just a rant there. :) Carry on, nothing to see here. :)

Thanks for the new thread Jbrd - sorry you don't have your results yet. Fingers crossed you get them soon.

Just checking in. I'm now 6+1. My boobs are sore and heavy, by back is constantly sore and yesterday I had some cramping but it came and went very quickly and no sign of bleeding so I'm hoping that it's just my body adjusting.

Other than that I don't really feel pregnant and am continuing as normal and sometimes I even forget - today that resulted me humphing a 20kg horse feed about before it dawned on me that it might not be the best idea!!

Fish slap required, ladies. Today I have been welling up, not only at DS2 riding a bike by himself for the first time, but also several times during Britain's got Talent. Blush Any spare grips also gratefully accepted!

Hey all.

Can I please join you all. Bfp yesterday. No dc. Two miscarriages last year, both between 9-11 weeks. Was on the TTC thread for a while (not under this name) but left during a much needed TTC breather. Started trying again this month and have had a first time lucky bfp... which is obviously very exciting (she says, willing some excitement to come in and replace the fear).

Had miscarriage tests at thr end if last year and have lupus anticoagulant so I have to go to the dr on Monday to go on clexane. Is there anyone out there who is on clexane who can tell me about the injections? - (obviously I'd inject myself in the eyeballs if it helps the pregnancy, but am still a little daunted by the thought). Also have a heart-shaped uterus so all in all not a terribly cozy environment in there! Very nervous about the whole thing as Dr has stressed risks increased in all three trimesters. Eek. "Today I am pregnant".

Tins - I've been known to have a cry during Halifax adverts, and not during pregnancy I might add.

Here's to lots of happy, dull, healthy pregnancies.

To clarify, the injections in the eyeballs is a hypothetical! Not sure how it reads. Clexane injections in tummy!

baking. Hurrah for DS2 on his bike!

squiz, I had lots of 'growing'/stretchy pains with ds1, was it that sort of thing?

Welcome mint I'm afraid I can't help with your question but I'm sure someone else will Smile

I'm having a doppler induced panic, listened to the hb just now n it sounded very different to normal, like it was faster than normal really, I can't describe it, but it was just wrong, and also a lot louder than normal. May sound crazy but iv been listening to him once or twice a week for the last 8 weeks so I'm use to all the sounds, but I don't feel I can phone the midwife in the morning with my concerns cos it sounds crazy. I'm hoping it's just unnecessary panic setting in cos I'm worrying about the anomaly scan (on Wednesday) but it deffiently sounded different. Gah I'm so sick of pregnancy panic, I just want him here safely (all any expectant mother ever wants I no) apologies for my little rant here anyway, jus tryna calm myself down before DP arrives home from work n I panic him too

Hi , I am currently 10+2 weeks and I just can not settle at all , I had a missed misscarriage this time last year and we didn't find out until our 12 week scan and of course we were both heart broken . Is there anything I can do or signs to be looking out for that would mean this pregnancy is ok... I know I should be embracing it and enjoying it but I feel if I stop worrying I will get my hopes up and I will be even more heart broken ... Also I suffered fr depression after the loss and I feel like I'm falling back into that place because of the worry .. Thankyou I'm advance

Hi gem can you get an early scan? I would talk to your mw or doctor about your fears and they may offer you one. Or a private options is under £100 usually (mine was £60). It breaks up the everlasting wait and let's you know something is at least growing in there and can see a little heart beating etc. after 2 mc (one missed at 12 wks) I've had 4 scans this preg and I'm only 14 weeks. But really helped seeing the progress along the way. Admittedly the fear would step in again a day or so after the scan but I'm not sure I could have coped mentally the whole 12 weeks without knowing anything.

Symptoms vary for everyone so you can't really go on that. And I had loads with my mmc too. Having said that the top ones are sore boobs, tiredness and nausea / ms.

Hope you are ok - we all know exactly how you feel and are mostly paranoid wrecks on here!

Fish flapping (think I like that better than slapping!) for you alb1. I read something about getting mixed up with placenta noises which can sometimes be confusing with babies heart beat bit glad it's all normal now for you Grin

mint welcome and congratulations. I was on clexane in first trimester and squiz is on it for the duration. My tips are, try to use areas lower down towards your hips, seem to be less sore. Ice the area before and after with a bag of peas or similar. Don't pinch the skin, stretch it out and slide needle under at 45 degree angle. Inject slowly and let the product disperse before withdrawing the needle. Ice again. Getting and disposing of a sharps bin seemed to be unnecessarily complicated so ask doctor about this, I had to have a written prescription for a bin from the pharmacy then return the full one somewhere else.....

alb fish flapping it's way to you now. Had he been v active? maybe moved into a position closer to where you were listening? If it sounds more normal again I expect he's fine, but no harm in phoning MW for reassurance this morning, it's what they are there for. Good luck for Wednesday.

gem Sorry you are stressed. I don't think there's anything to look for, in most MMC there's no sign that there's a problem. Have you spoken to your MW about it? If you feel it's affecting your mental health then it's worth asking for a reassurance scan or paying privately for one. Otherwise, trying planning in some things to look forward to that will help get you through the days until your 12 week scan.

Welling up at DS is allowed but BGT is taking it a bit far!

there are all sorts of things in there making noises. The midwife usually picks up the sound of the placenta before the baby when she listens to me, but I can't tell the difference. I think louder and faster is far better than slower and quieter though! Glad all is back to normal now.

Welcome mint and gem, congrats on your BFPs wishing you both uneventful and boring pregnancies. I can't advise on the clexane but there are several lovely ladies on this thread who can. Just take each day at a time and set small milestones to try to get through that horrible first trimester.

Fish slaps all round! Baking and Alb!
And me... Pain in side resolved after a sudden "never have a smoothy after prun juice then a greasy burger" release of my constipation. Concerned its damaged bean or a sign of something awful, duh. KNOW I cannot rely on movement at the feathery feelings stage, but imagining I've felt less (probably because there's more room in there after poonado).

Hi Mint and Gem !
I use clexane daily and rotate sides of belly with top things. I inject how baking said, my other 2 tips are if it hurts as you 1st put the needle to your flesh, there's a nerve which could bruise so try a cm to the side also try different chemists/ask for the thinnest needle poss. They do vary! Mine is packaged Klexane with a k and the needle's v fine.

hope it is ok to join you? just got a bfp after two MCs last year....doc had just started me on metformin as seemed to have stopped ovulating after the second.....so was quite surprised to get a bfp as really was just going through the motions of testing....very excited, but totally terrified.

On an unrelated note, 3 times in the last 3 days have I seen people "win" ddbates on here by saying "and I've lost babies" or "it offends my non mn mate/people whove lost babies" (and in one case when it was pointed out it wasnt a universally held post-loss reaction doing a "mine/my friends was lost later").

Its properly giving me preggo rage!! I find it is such poor taste when it isn't a personal outpouring but a way to win.

Touchy today!!

Hi guys hoping for a bit of reassurance .(hand holding) really got my bfp before my af was due at around 3.5 wks , I am currently 6+2wks and the dreaded bleeding has started after 2 previous mc's I'm convinced its all gone wrong again. Hoping to see gp tomorrow , Hate being in this situation again and trying my hardest to still smile n laugh with my lb . Has anybody had positive outcomes ?

Welcome moomin excited but terrified is par for the course her, you'll fit right in.

debby sorry to hear that, it's just the worst feeling to see any blood. I'd phone GP out of hours and see if they can fax through an EPU referral for tomorrow, very little to be achieved by seeing a GP. I hope you can get a scan and it's all ok. First trimester bleeding is very common and in many cases is fine, but I appreciate that won't stop you worrying.

Okay so I risked it. I've bought something maternity. Some tights and some cheapo double dress pack from new look. Feeling proud of myself for braving it but even my loose clothes are feeling tight now so I would rather be comfy.

debby sorry to hear that. I've not personally had bleeding on a successful pregnancy but many of my friends have. Depending on how your EPU works I would self refer if you can tomorrow or if you need gp referral I would do what baking suggests. I hope it works out okay for you, I really do xx

Debby I had bleeding at 6 weeks then a good scan after, fx for you.

Question for those who may know... Really concerned.

I have had "flutterings" last few days. Yesterday I had a side pain and a sudden, loose poo. No temp, no sickness. But am convinced something is wrong because I have had far less feelings today, and even what I have had could be wind. Far, far less, and weaker.
The thing is I KNOW at 18 weeks no one will see me based on this, because its too early for a pattern. But I'm worried because surely it should get more not less? And loose stools are very unusual for me at the moment.

Report
squizita · 13/04/2014 19:41

Just rang MW who immediately told me at 18 weeks it will "come and go" and not to rely on patterns (if no pain/bleeding) before 22-24 weeks. Apparently bean can hide as its so small!

Hi everyone, can I pull up a chair? I did promise myself I wasn't going to join this thread before my scan on Wed, but I feel a bit lost between threads, I've been on the TTC after MC one for so long!

Stats: 27, TTC #1 since Sep 2012, ectopic Dec 12, BFP April 2014.

Am 4.4 weeks today, the scan on Wed is to check for a second ectopic. I have been so panicky, of course - last time I ruptured a day before 5 weeks, which they still tell me is impossible, but I was temping and had a textbook chart that month - ov dip etc, so I really did rupture so soon. Thus the early scan on Wed. I am trying to stay positive, because all the signs are so different this time - last time I bled from CD22, this time no blood. Limited symptoms - sore boobs, a bit short of breath, but I am getting regular pressure around my right ovary. Has anyone else had a corpus luteum cyst? Of course I'm worried it's ectopic, but it feels nothing like the agony that came on quickly last time. Would love to hear if anyone has anything similar.

Sorry for the initial mememe post. squiz, I'm sorry you're worried - I can't give advice because have never got that far, but Thanks and un-MN hug. Do we do that here? Hey ho, you're getting one anyway.
