klou I'm sorry to hear of your last few days, how horrible for you. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing you luck with your scan.

TeaRex · 14/05/2014 21:03

klou hope tomorrow goes okay for you
cuppa make sure you get an appt with the doctor, sounds like you're really having a rough time :( hope you feel better soon

Ele2013 · 14/05/2014 21:14

I don't have sore breasts that much and feel much lighter today, no bloating etc. like all symptoms subsided. I am at 6wks plus 3, not sure if this means its another mc or symptoms can subside. Can anybody pls share how it is early on.

Penguin13 · 14/05/2014 21:56

Klou so sorry you've been having such an awful time. Good luck for your scan tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you.

Ele when all my previously strong symptoms, including sore, swollen breasts, completely disappeared for a whole week at around week 5 I was absolutely convinced I had miscarried again as it felt so similar to when I had my missed mc, but everything turned out to be fine and I am now 10 weeks. Your symptoms going away aren't necessarily a sign of something bad. I know how worrying it can be though.

Cuppachaplz · 14/05/2014 22:38

klou best of luck tomorrow! hope things get better for you soon.

ele I have had pregnancies with no symptoms at all! and some where achy boobs comes and goes. I have a lot of friends who say this too. It seems to vary from day to day and person to person, and doesn't seem to mean that something is wrong. In fact many of my MCs have been heralded by increased boob soreness.

Sorry again to continue in the meany vein. I was cooking tea for the dam earlier and just thinking that was the first time in days that I had not been gagging at the stove, when I felt the dreaded wetness. I have had a very red, fresh bleed, quite heavy but very short lived. I rang EPU, who said they will bring forward my next scan and asked me to call back 1st thing for a time. I have spent an hour crying in the bath, but Cramps now starting with force. I think given everything that has happened over the last few days, that realistically thus is likely to be the beginning of the end.

Thanks everyone for all your support over the last couple of weeks. Wishing you all happy, sticky pregnancies. Xx

MabelMay · 14/05/2014 23:11

Klou so sorry you're going through this. Best of luck tomorrow Thanks

cuppa - holding out my hand to hold. Thinking of you. I'm so sorry you've also had a bleed - the vomiting, although hideous, sounded like a good pg sign - I never had this on progesterone. Please take care of yourself. I hope you get a scan ASAP and I hope it's good news - but I understand that mentally you need to prepare for the worst. I'm hoping for a happy outcome for you though and that it's just one of those early 1st trimester bleeds. Sending hugs and thoughts/positive vibes. Take care ThanksThanks

Gwlondon · 14/05/2014 23:50

Thank you amicablemoomin, OneLittleToddleTerror and Cuppachuplz. Thank you for thinking of me. My scan went well. There was a heartbeat. I am 10 weeks and have to go back in 2 weeks to have nuchal folds measured. So I am not clear yet but it was nice to not have bad news.

Kluolou I am so glad the doctor saw you and you got a scan. Best of luck tomorrow. The not knowing what is going on is so hard.

Ele2013 I think my symptoms came and went. I can't remember exactly but things haven't felt the same each week.

Cuppachuplz I am so so sorry. I am thinking of you and sending you a big hug. I hope you get a lot of support. I wish I could reach out and hug you.

Gwlondon · 15/05/2014 00:02

Cuppachuplz you have been through so much. I am very sorry.

Penguin13 · 15/05/2014 06:27

Cuppa I'm so sorry you're going through this. I hope you are seen quickly for your scan. You have been through so much already and my heart goes out to you and your partner. Sending hugs and thinking of you both.

bakingtins · 15/05/2014 07:20

cuppa I'm so sorry. it is just the worst feeling in the world to see blood when you've had previous losses. Thinking of you today. Flowers

klou good luck.

gwlondon good news on the 10 week scan - another milestone ticked off.

Gwlondon · 15/05/2014 07:21

Thank you bakingtins.

amicablemoomin · 15/05/2014 07:37

cuppa I'm so sorry to hear this, thinking of you today Thanks

ele I too had symptoms vanish for a couple of days around 5 weeks and then return. But my symptoms overall have been light (low level nausea and gently achy boobs). It is terrifying when they go but it definitely doesn't have to mean anything.

kluo sending you positive vibes for scan today. I hope the pain is easing up.

gw - fantastic news to see a heartbeat, congratulations on a ten week milestone.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 15/05/2014 07:40

cuppa, best wishes. Hope they can see you ASAP today. Thinking of you today. X
Been more of a lurker, hadbleeds and horrible cramps over the weekend, went to EPU yesterday and all is still well and where it should be. 9+2.

Happy for good news GW! Another milestone passes. X

amicablemoomin · 15/05/2014 07:43

Glad to hear all is well drfunkes. That is good news!

squizita · 15/05/2014 07:48

Kluo fingers crossed for the scan today.

Cuppa How bloody awful. :( Thinking of you and sending positive thoughts for today.

GW 10 week HB is a big milestone. :) Really pleased for you!

No news my end. Bean had a little kickabout in the car this morning, meaning I will be in a good mood today not fretting LOL.
On a boring note, I've bought quite a few work basics on this site and must say for the price I'm really pleased (considering 'designed' and 'patterned' maternity is x3 the price and still not that striking). www.purpless.co.uk/

pgchimp · 15/05/2014 10:35

Klou and cuppa, I am sorry to hear you are going through the wringer at the moment. I hope you get some clarity today and are seen by supportive medical staff. Sending hugs and Cake.

gw and drfunkes - very glad to hear of your positive scan news.

Having spent the last 8-10 weeks in an apparently perfect position, the midwife told me the baby had moved to a 'lateral' position so I need to spend my evenings on all fours to try to get him back round to the left and prevent a back to back. There is very little dignity left in late pregnancy!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/05/2014 10:51

squizita I got most of my stuff from new look and a little bit from H&M. I definitely prefer the cheap and cheerful option for maternity wear. For those who haven't been through this before. Don't bank on being able to reuse any of your maternity wear. (I guess if you are going to many, chances are lower). DD was born in late march, and new bean has a EDD of mid september. This means I have hardly anything I can reuse from my last pregnancy. I tried wear a wollen cardigan from last time but I was sweating so badly in it Sad. It might be because I prefer dresses in pregnancy though. I found it much more comfortable without something pressing on my bump. Underbumps I have to keep pulling a bit, and overbump gives me the itch. Otherwise, I think you can reuse the jeans and work trousers?

gw and funkes happy for your good scan news.

pgchimp oh yes I remember being on all fours moving around in circles. I did antenatal yoga and that's what they taught me to do. Actually I did find the breathing exercises very useful for labour.

Alb1 · 15/05/2014 11:19

cuppa and klou sorry your both going through such a terrible time, hope you manage to get some answers today, I'm thinking of you both

gw congrats on the good scan news! Hope it's given you some relief.

drfunk also glad to see youv had some good scan news Smile

bakingtins · 15/05/2014 11:28

pgchimp I wouldn't worry too much if baby is head down, they have enough room to swivel around before or during labour. Have you come across spinningbabies.com/ it has lots of tips to encourage them into the best position before and during labour.
Babybaking has thankfully been head down since 28 weeks when she was transverse, but back is always in a different position when checked.

Kloulou · 15/05/2014 11:28

cuppa I am so so sorry to hear that! I really feel your pain. I hope you've been given a scan today? They can't leave you in turmoil for any longer. Sending you gentle hugs.

I lived in leggings for my last pregnancies and maxi dresses. I found matalan are good for long length tops and vests. The vests are good because I could wear my normal tops over the top without belly poking out the bottom. Cheap too.

I had another scan this morning and we were very surprised to still see that heartbeat flicker! I can't believe it's still there, especially after the bleeding and pain of yesterday. They've noticed a perforation on the womb lining so that can explain the bleeding. Most of the time for most women it sorts itself out and stops but obviously that's not the case for everyone. They were much more helpful and reassuring than they were on Monday. Am still in the waiting game but I'm gonna try and not dwell on it. Had a lovely chat with my nan (sometimes it's good to hear the old school way of thinking) and she said I should just carry on as normal and what will be will be. Back to work next week, obviously I'm gonna go as easy as I can but I've found sitting round 'resting' not good for my mental well being. At least work will take my mind of it.
Thank you all once again for your support. Am so glad I found the courage to post on here as you've really helped.

bakingtins · 15/05/2014 11:44

Klou that's great news!

Alb1 · 15/05/2014 11:57

Great news klou good that theyv found a reason for the bleeding aswell to give you some answers

Penguin13 · 15/05/2014 12:28

Klou great news that the heartbeat is going strong and that they seem to have found a reason for the bleeding. You could really do with a break after all this upheaval and stress so I hope you get one and that things calm down.

squizita · 15/05/2014 12:34

Oh Klou I'm so relieved for you. :) I hope the perforation sorts itself out ASAP, can't imagine how constant bleeds must mess with the mind even if it's not the end. Keeping fx that you are like 'most' cases and it sorts itself out.,

kitkat321 · 15/05/2014 13:09

Excellent new Klou!!

I'm now 10+6 and hating every second - the nausea has settled down a bit but now I have a raging throat infection and cough so feeling crappy!

Was supposed to have booking appointment today and then scan next week but had to reschedule due to a work commitment which has since been cancelled so now have to wait an extra week for nothing - grrrr!
