Nice feeling eh?

SpringChicken · 11/01/2004 18:35

Wey-hey!

Well done Dejags - always nice to be part of these threads but even nicer when you can look back in 3 months time and remember that you were the one who started the thread!

Good luck

emmatmg · 11/01/2004 19:00

Ohhhhh, just wanted to say congratulations.

Extremley jealous as this time last year I was JUST pg.....didn't know for sure yet infact so seeing a new 'anyone one due Sept' makes me want it all again!

Well done, enjoy the next 8 months

dejags · 11/01/2004 19:06

Thanks Ladies!!!

I am still feeling a little shocked and disbelieving. It all seems so quick and I have virtually no symptoms - boobs a bit sore and dry throat but otherwise ok...

With my first pregnancy I never thought about problems - since having DS I know so much more about miscarriage and pregnancy problems that I am worrying quite a lot...

Oh well as my mother says - I'd be worried if I wasn't worrying...

Dejags.... rewind the clock back 5 weeks to and look at the August thread!! I said exactly the same. And now I wish some of these symptoms would hurry and pass!

puke<
vomit<

I have to get up through the night perhaps 3 times to pee too!

SpringChicken · 11/01/2004 19:28

I was just the same as you M2T - i'm now 12+6 hospital dates (13 wks by my dates) and everything has passed!

May sound stupid but everyone always said first and last 3 months are worst - 2nd trimest you'll feel great and i do already, only getting a few headache's every now and then.

Wont be long til the symptoms pass - the last 3 months have just flown by for me - here's hoping the next 6 do too

pollingfold · 12/01/2004 13:33

Congratulations dejags

Hopefully I'll be joining you in our big pushes in Spet. EDD is 17th Sept and this also my second child.

After m/c in Nov I promised myself that I wouldn't get carried away with the idea of having another, but the best thing I suppose it to stay positive.

Good luck to us all and those who join and unfortunatley leave us along the way

dejags · 12/01/2004 13:35

call me keen - but I am off to the docs tonight. I have had quite a sore tum - not sure if it's wind (blushing furiously) or a UTI. So I may as well tell him about being pregnant at the same time

I woke up this morning with zero symptoms and managed to convince myself that the four tests I have taken already were wrong and that I wasn't pregnant - I duly rushed out and bought another test (different brand to be on the safe side) and it was positive. Why am I being so paranoid about this one... Lord it's costing us a fortune

hi pollingfold - welcome and congrats to you too!

there seem to have been quite a few positive's on the trying to conceive thread - strange how they all come together (everybody must have been bd'ing like mad over xmas )

how are you feeling?

OP posts:
M2T · 12/01/2004 13:39

Dejags - I got shooting pains in my tummy when I was 4.5weeks pg. I rushed of to an emergency docs appointment which confirmed at UTI! I had a course of antibiotics.
Of course you MUST tell him you are pregnant. It makes it so much more real eh?

jacksmumto1 · 12/01/2004 16:13

Hello everyone! Thought I'd come and join you since baby 2 is due sept 9th/11th!?! I can't believe that it is happening, I was convinced I wasn't pregnant this month and had had no symptoms (had loads last month and negative tests...). But today I am feeling sure - spd pain is gradually building up - I know it's not a figment of my imagination as I felt it a few days ago and assumed it was going to be 'one of those' months!! Sign of things to come

better go and rescue the books/cds/pens from ds! Will post again later...

Quackers · 12/01/2004 17:09

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!! wONDERFUL NEW THREAD!!!!

Bod · 13/01/2004 00:58

Hiya Ladies, I'm due September 6th, so a little ahead of you in the September run, this is my 2nd, my DS was a breeze, only slight MSck, this time, the biggest boobs you've ever seen, Jordan look out, feeling sick around lunch time and afternoon, last time it was morning, strange.

Congrats to all us September Moms.

Breath, push, breath, relax.

similarthing · 13/01/2004 01:01

I may hopefully be joining you in the next week. Congratulations to you all!

dejags · 13/01/2004 11:40

Hi Bod

Glad to meet you and congrats on your pregnancy!!!

I am also due no 2 and like you had a very easy pregnancy with no 1. How old is your DS? Mine is 2yrs7months.

Went to see the doc last night and was given a due date of 12th Sep - one day off my calculation.

dejags · 13/01/2004 11:41

Similarthing - I hope you get good news soon!!!

I am intrigued - are you a regular poster and changed your name or are you new to mumsnet - if you are regular I am dying to know who you are

let us know how you get on

OP posts:
M2T · 13/01/2004 12:03

Morning All.... can't help poking my nose onto this thread.

Similarthing is a regular MNer with name changed.... COME ON! WHO ARE YOU?

Dejags - Was it a UTI then?

jacksmumto1 · 13/01/2004 12:42

Hi Bod! number 2 for me as well, ds is 22mths. Strangely no real symptoms this time - no sore boobs (yet!) and no ms - just the occasional hint of nausea. Both of which were horrendous last time! However..spd is making an appearance and I feel so tired!! Just isn't quite real for me yet!

similarthing - good luck!!!

dejags · 13/01/2004 12:45

Morning M2T,

No doc thinks it's just womb stretching/wind (apparently very common in early pregnancy).

I was a bit dismayed - we don't get our booking appointment until 16 weeks - I thought blood tests were required prior to that. In my previous preg booking in was at 8 weeks and we got a confirmation scan... I was so looking forward to that..

I have decided to go with the Nuchal scan at 11 weeks though - so not too long to wait. I am bursting at the seams to tell people... arrrgh can't wait another 6 weeks!!!!

OP posts:
M2T · 13/01/2004 12:54

Jacsmumto1 - My morning sickness kicked in at 6weeks and is tailing off now thankfully!

Dejags. We don't get offered anything other than a dating scan in my area! I am shocked and will fight them to the end to refer to the hospital where I will give birth (different to the hospital I have antenatal care due to ward closrues), as they do anomaly scans as routine. I'm quite disgusted this time with the lack of antenatal care.... won't go into it again, I think I moaned enough on other threads about it.

I think 16 weeks is quite late for all your blood tests though! I had mine at 8wks both times. But my first antenatal appointment after that will be at 16wks then 22 wks!

M2T · 13/01/2004 12:56

Meant to say Dejags - I have been having sharp stretching pains since 7 weeks. Mad isn't it! Something so tiny can already be strrrrrrretching you.

jacksmumto1 · 13/01/2004 13:43

M2T my ms kicked in at 3 weeks last time!!! I do feel nauseaus today but only mildly - thank god! Last time I couldn't go in the fridge so how I'd cope this time if it was the same!!!

My blood tests last time were not till about 16 weeks and we only get the dating scan in this area - I hate having to wait that long!!

dejags · 13/01/2004 13:54

Well spoke to the hospital because it seemed odd that we don't get any antenatal care until 16-18 weeks. The hospital confirm that this is in fact a load of cr@p...

They will give me the next available appointment once they receive the referral letter from the doctor. Normally this is about a month. So if the doctors letter arrives end of next week I should have my booking in appointment 2nd week of Feb when I am about 9/10 weeks. This all sounds a lot more reasonable to me . Have to say that I am disappointed that my doctor is so uninformed - he has been practicing in the area for years... surely he should know this stuff???

OP posts:
M2T · 13/01/2004 13:57

jacsmumto1 - I am very nervous about not having an anomaly scan. Pissing me right off in fact. Talk about postal code NHS!

Dejags - Thats better. OH Don't get me started on GP's!!

TWEETYPY03 · 13/01/2004 16:00

Hi dejags,

I have just found I am pregnant with my second baby and am due on 15th September.
I have been feeling really tired in the day but not much chance to put feet up with ds who is 20 mtnhs old running round, not like last time when on maternity leave and having lovely lie-ins!
