I will have to take a look at that one welsh. I have been very bad so far and have been eyeing up really expensive ones that I know I can't afford! Need to talk myself down!

ffscat that must have been lovely! DP took me away at 14 weeks and I had a mum-to-be massage and facial. They were both heavenly but think I'd definitely benefit more now. Might have to go back for another one!

eightieshopaholic · 19/04/2012 20:19

Hi Ladies, seem to read the posts each night then fall asleep. So much for the bloom so tired!!!

I have booked tickets for the babyshow in bham hope its good!!

Bought lots of baby clothes in sale ordered pushchair car seat but that's it really not sure what else should be buying.

I am 23+5 but the app shows 24 weeks that confuses me!!!

TheRealMrsSmith · 19/04/2012 20:35

eighties I'm going to the one in brum too. Have never been to one despite this being #4, so my friend has booked tickets for us to go and make a day of it. Hoping to pick up a bargain or two, or possibly discover some new washable nappies to try this time. I'm itching to buy an outfit or two but still struggling with the limited unisex outfits available at the moment.

Has anyone else hit another wall of tiredness? I have days when I'm full of energy but then some days I'm so exhausted I can just about summon the energy to get off the sofa.

ishopthereforeiam · 19/04/2012 23:53

I'm with 80s on the tiredness, on,y problem is once I fall asleep I wake up lots and lots at night!

mrsm the pjs sound fab! I didn't buy maternity ones just MUCh bigger than my usual size (fromrimark - cheap and cheerful).

The pram arrived earlier this week so selling dd's beautiful one Sad for the much more practical philntedsteds.

therumoursaretrue · 20/04/2012 00:39

What pram did you have for your DD ishop?

hamncheese · 20/04/2012 07:50

Ugh just had a horrible night :( woke up feeling as though I was being sick it was awful but it turned out to be reflux but then I felt really nauseous for an hour after and in a hot flush, took to walking up and down the bedroom flapping my pjs to cool down like a nutter. Had to sleep all propped up which I hate and now feel like the chewing gum underneath someone's shoe. Has anyone else been getting this? I think perhaps I ate too much too near bedtime, and it was chocolate pudding, and I think I read choc relaxes the muscles keeping the stomach acid etc in there which is delightful. So now having to make a no more eating after 6 rule to try and stop this and prob going to have to sleep propped a bit more which hurts my back arghh! Just when sleep was going good too.

Also my cat seems to still have a UTI and we can't get a urine sample from her poor soul has been isolated from her friends for two nights but can't seem to go :( to the vets today again then...

Glad to see you all getting stuff and having fun... let us know if the baby shows are good! Hope today treats you all well!

Also... WHEN does the 3rd trimester start. I thought it'd be week 24 but that count down website said much later Confused

23+6

PoppyS34wantssleep · 20/04/2012 08:51

MrsM I'm also just wearing PJs in a bigger size rather than maternity ones.

MrsS I don't think the tiredness has ever left me. Have been shattered for 25weeks almost! Blush it's a running joke in our house :o

Happy Friday everyone! :)

The3Bears · 20/04/2012 10:01

hamncheese Ive been feeling v nauseous again however mine is in the evening, Hoping it goes soon as ive had it for the past couple of days feel fine in the morning though and I definitely ate after 6 pm last night Grin
Aww your poor cat hope she's okay soon x
I thought the 3rd trimester was 28 weeks? so it's the last 12 weeks of pregnancy maybe im wrong though Confused

eighties Ive not been feeling as tired recently but I think thats because i've not been waking up in the night as much this week, feeling alot better because of that :)

Hope all the ladies going to the babyshow have fun! and everyone has a great Friday :)

PoppyS34wantssleep · 20/04/2012 10:38

Ham that doesn't sound good! :( I'm not getting good sleep either, as I just can't get comfortable, if I sleep on my left the whole night my hip and shoulder hurts, and the last time I slept on my back it made me dizzy, so I've also had to sleep propped up - Bah! Reflux sounds worse though...

I am hugely pleased this morning :o I won't go into details, but suffice to say a weeks diet almost entirely of dried fruit and lactulose has worked wonders - such a relief (in more ways than one Blush)

What prams has everyone got then? I might make a list and start checking them out. My friend has the Bugaboo Bee (second hand) and really likes it.

MrsMigginslovespies · 20/04/2012 11:15

Yes still to the tiredness too. Also never really left me, though much better than it was. Exhausted still at night and regularly fall asleep in front of TV at 9pm. Have also been waking really early then not being able to go back to sleep. Until today. When I woke at 10 Shock Smile. Was lovely!

Poppy, we've gone (after lots of looking) for the Silver Cross Sleepover travel system with the lighter Linear base. Tis navy and white and I love it, especailly as it looks so cosy. It's not as light as others (but not super-massive either, plus we live in t'country and have a big boot). Can't wait to get it, as they're holding it for us until nearer the time. We also liked the Bugaboos (but not the price) and the Icandy a lot too. Was a toss up between Icandy and SC tbh.

Have a nice day, y'all. It's Friday!!

Lovemarmite · 20/04/2012 12:06

Ham I'm getting the reflex too, yeap, chocolate in the evening is maybe the culprit and eating too late. So boo hoo on this one too. I find that when my head hits the pillow, then the bubbles of reflex start, great for a good nights sleep. Then I wake up at 4am and not get back to sleep, oh yes, 2 am too sometimes, also getting the leg cramps and bah to that as that wakes me too.

I had a dream that my DH was having an affair and I was heavily pregnant and very sad and so I woke him up and told him and he laughed at me. So I guess, my night time sleeping is all a bit rubbish at the moment!

We've chosen the Bugaboo cameleon, Mothercare did a price match and so it took the price down a wee bit, they also did the same on the Britax pebble car set and isofix thingy. Just now choosing cot bed as the White company one is unavailable until Winter - it was the only item that I wanted to spend a bit of money on and DH has given up trying to convince me otherwise.

Ham hope your cat gets better. I know the vets stick a needle into the bladder to get a sample that way but maybe that's just to get a kidney analysis.

Our little pusscat is on a cancer herbal medicine and so far is showing some good signs, not a vast improvement but at least he's eating and cleaning etc and so he's still with us at the moment.

Poppy me having same effect on rice and dal! yeah!

Happy Friday too!!

The3Bears · 20/04/2012 12:32

Poppy I have a Bugaboo Cameleon used it with ds for 3 years and just got it out of attic and cleaned it and it looks as good as new, will post some pics soon. Also have just purchased the Maxi cosi pebble in dress blue, its just arrived and looks so cute :)

ishopthereforeiam · 20/04/2012 13:14

Hi rumours for dd I had a silver cross sleepover in sugared almond, (altho we didn't use the Moses basket bit) so pretty but now we need space for ds to be so have got the Phil n teds explorer. I also loved the icandy...

lovemarmite what a scary dream! I wish I'd got to dream lad night, dh was snoring so I moved to the sofa at 3am!

Plans for the weekend ladies?

OP posts:
faintpinkline · 20/04/2012 13:22

I'm also having weird dreams. I dreamt dp was having an affair and that when I found out I started thumping him and broke his ribs Then I half woke up and started shouting and ranting at him - he was rather confused but thankfully intact (and no he's not been shagging the woman down the road or so he says!!) Poor man

Baby then decided to make some big movements all of a sudden around 4am and kept me awake wriggling about for half an hour or so. Quite relieved though as movements had been so very faint before At one point seemed to be kicking in six places at once - how am I having a six limbed baby?

Very tired and run down now :(

panpipe · 20/04/2012 14:22

Our poor other halves being the subject of weird dreams! Last night I dreamt that DH was pregnant too and in my half-asleep-awake state very nearly told him "your baby's on the way too" Confused

Had my 24wk mw appointment yesterday. A few niggly things - VERY low blood pressure (I think she was amazed that I wasn't passing out once a day) and a trace of glucose in urine. Apparently not too much to worry about as the glucose thing can sometimes happen just due to pregnancy. Next appointment has a routine blood glucose test anyway so will take a closer look then. Baby all ok, nice heartbeat once it stopped running away from the doppler!

Then last night I went to my first Daisy Birthing class. It was lovely - a mixture of yoga, hypnobirthing and music with a range of movements to help baby into the right place and lots of relaxation. The course is only 6 weeks but I think I'll go back for a few top-ups nearer the time.

We've ordered the iCandy Strawberry pram and Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix seat. When I tried them out in the shop I couldn't for the life of me get the Pebble on and off the pram so that idea went out the window straight away!

MrsMigginslovespies · 20/04/2012 15:16

Panpipe, is that the same as the Lazy Daisy classes? Just been having a look and they look great. There's naff all on offer in the Scottish borders, so I might have to travel a bit, but prepared to if a nice class. Feel I'd like something extra than just NHS class at hospital as not clear how much yoga/holistic stuff they do there.

Vinolover · 20/04/2012 15:32

3bears I have ordered the exact same car seat as you :) Im glad you said it's really nice because I could only see the colour online as the shop didn't have one in.

I have days of extreme tiredness too, so definitely one of those things.

Is anyone else already counting down to maternity leave? - 12 weeks tomorrow and cannot wait! :)

panpipe · 20/04/2012 16:09

Miggins yes I think it's the same thing. From what I can gather it's a sort of franchise thing so you have a load of different companies offering it. I had a lovely time; I think it did (or at least our teacher) assume that you had some basic knowledge of yoga but she still took you through everything. Finished with a fantastic half an hour's relaxation where we all got to lie on the floor and pretty much fall asleep!

PoppyS34wantssleep · 20/04/2012 16:32

Vino - YES! sorry for shouting but I can't wait for maternity leave to start, also 12 weeks and counting (or maybe 11 possibly :o)

The3Bears · 20/04/2012 17:16

vino Yes it's lovely, im sure you'll love it. I love the little head hugger pillow :) I was going to order the blue skies one but dp wasnt so keen on the raincloud on it and kept saying it should be a sun and cloud Grin men! But the ocd in me knew the dress blue one would match all babys blankets much more :)

Who was it that mentioned those car seat wrap thingys, I saw this yesterday and really want it, it's so cute :) [http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Travel-and-Pushchairs/Car-Seats-and-Boosters/Car-Seat-Accessories/Car-Seat-Lamb-Cosy-Wrap(0082943)]

Ds is having a sleepover at cousins tonight so me and dp are going to the cinemas tonight, not been for a few months so looking forward to a relaxing night :)

miaboo · 20/04/2012 18:40

Hi
I must be really hormonal the last couple of days! I had a complete meltdown and cried for an hour last night because dp didnt buy me anything from the shop to eat! Blush because I couldnt decide what I wanted he didnt get me anything and oh well that was the end of the world for me! I've also began to get pretty angry at people telling me I'm mad because I'm having baby number 3 when ds2 will only be 21 months old, I know ds3 wasent planned but I'm geting pretty defensive at the constant comments!!
On the plus side I've ordered my phil teds and double explorer pushchair today in navy and black, it's costing £500 which is mental but it's the best one for my needs!
Also lots of nice deliveries of clothes from ebay for baby boy 3 so I'm keeping the postman happy :)

Gnomi · 20/04/2012 19:47

Wow, ladies, everyone is so organised. I've been promised lots of things to borrow - moses basket, sling, cradle, bumbo chair and lots of clothes - and I've decided on a few things - reusable wipes, maxicosi car seat. But i haven't got anywhere close to actually buying! I did do a lot of browsing in Mamas and Papas and John Lewis earlier though.

My belly button is definitely on its way out - it's freaking me out slightly! Will it actually 'pop'? Or will it be more gradual? The bump has grown loads in the last two weeks, and i'm definitely in maternity clothes. Thank goodness for a lovely friend who passed a big back of stuff to me - my wardrobe has doubled!

Has anyone read the Baby Whisperer? I've brought it from Amazon but it hasn't arrived yet. Apparantly it's less scary than the other one you're not meant to mention on MN.

ffscatmove · 20/04/2012 20:03

Hi Gnomi - a friend recommended the Baby Whisperer to me too but haven't ordered it yet, will you let me know what you think? My friend also said 'the other one' was for burning...... not sure I'm up to that one anyway! I was also going for 'What to expect the first year' as I like the style of the expecting one.

Uurrgh need to go and make dinner but raging heartburn is putting me off.... does Gaviscon constitute a mea d'ya think? Hmm

ffscatmove · 20/04/2012 20:04

'meal' sorry
