Due in August?

Just did two pg tests and positive (although faint). Took 10 months ttc last time and as DD is almost one I've only had periods for a few months so this is a hugely pleasant surprise!

Anyone-else out there?

Hello!

Not quite August but very end of July so will probably turn out to be August!

Congratulations on your BFP! Mine is my first and took 15 months! Must have been so lovely to not have to go through it again if it happened to you last time!

Angel786 · 28/11/2011 14:21

Congratulations Impatientwino

Yes - after trying so long (first time) it's hard to believe when it actually happens isn't it?

I'm so excited but trying to be cautious. Have you told anyone?

I waited til after the 12 week scan last time but can't seem to wait this time as people can always tell something's up if I decline a drink (even if I say am on antibiotics)...

I've told my mum (who instantly crumbled and told my dad Hmm)

I've also had to tell my gym partner becuase I can't go spinning for a while and my boss because she's my partner in wine!

We have booked an early scan (between 8-9 weeks) just before xmas - no-one would believe me if I said I was on antibiotics either! so that's on 17th Dec so providing all is ok will tell our family/friends then.

Am so excited but really nervous too - I almost don't quite believe it!!!

warzonemummy · 28/11/2011 16:40

Dear Angel786 and Impatientwino congratulations, I had three BFP's yesterday and today. I have been TTC 5 months. I have told three friends (2 accidentally) and several family members. I am over the moon :)
Looking forward to spending next 40 (give or take 3 or 4 weeks) with you with health and happiness.
xxx

Parsnippercy · 28/11/2011 21:10

Hi, got a positive pg test this morning. Am still a bit shocked - took nearly 18 months first time (with a miscarriage in the middle) and periods had not returned after birth of ds 14 months ago. Only stopped bf a month ago so think prob due late July/early aug too. Can't really believe it. even typing this doesn't seem to make it more real.

Angel786 · 28/11/2011 22:00

Congratulations Warzone and Parsnip!

I am also still in shock and doesn't seem real. Absolutely ecstatic but expected it to take a lot longer - also a bit frazzled at thinking of having two under twos or rather a one and a half year(ish) old and a newborn!

Really want to tell people but am trying to be cautious. Did 3 tests...!

Anyone have any symptoms yet?

So far nothing here although slightly more acute sense of taste and smell.

Hi All
I would like to join your conversation if ok!
I did an early pg test on Friday and was positive! Will be 5 weeks on Friday and due August 3rd! Still cant believe it! I already have a 3yr old son called Connor and he has been on at me for a brother or sister! Wont be telling him the good news though until 12wk scan all done..
Have been bit light headed & bloated!!!!
This one only took 2 months of ttc after it took us over a year with Connor with a miscarriage in the middle.
Well good luck to us all.....
Feels like 12 weeks is AGES away!!!!!

AnaisB · 30/11/2011 21:53

Congratulations all! Can I join you? Got a BFP last week and due early August. Only just started trying, but gave up breastfeeding before I was ready so I could get pregnant - I would have been gutted if I'd done it for nothing. Told DH (!) and someone at work for H&S reasons. Have been looking at prams to vent my excitement.

KatieDingus · 30/11/2011 22:27

Hi,
I got a first BFP this weekend, I think I am due end July! Really excited but nervous too, its my first. I am worried about telling work too.

Congratulations to you all!

Angel786 · 30/11/2011 23:06

The more the merrier! Welcome hungry anais and Katie

hungry congrats! Sorry to hear of the miscarriage but so pleased for you! Sounds like Connor will be thrilled!

anais how old is your baby(gave up bf? ). My dd is one next week! Thrilled but also slightly nervous about managing two under twos (God wiling)!

Good luck ladies. I was an August 2009 antenatal thread person. Brings back happy memories of my miraculous pregnancy. Wish I were doing this with you but am old old gimmer.

May all your pregnancies be uneventful.

AnaisB · 01/12/2011 08:51

Thanks for good wishes duchesse!

Angel DD is 10 months so will be 18 months when no. 2 born, all being well. I hope she isn't jealous.

Can't go the doctor's at the moment cos I'm on jury service - I want my first midwife appointment so I can hear the heartbeat and relax!

Bobkins · 01/12/2011 11:07

Hi, I have just found out this morning that I am pregnant for the first time. The clear blue test which I did, predicted that I am 2-3 weeks pregnant. Luckily, I had a doctors appointment for something else so I told the doctor today. He said as my last period was the start of October I am now 2 months pregnant !! I am very confused. The 2 - 3 weeks would make more sense or do I just go with the date of my last period ?

Angel786 · 01/12/2011 13:07

Congrats Bobkins pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period so if your period started 1 oct and you conceived on 14 oct by 28 oct you would be 4 weeks pregnant (although only conceived 2 weeks prior) - hope that makes sense and am not patronising you!? I found the whole counting weeks thing odd but it makes 12 weeks come quicker Grin. Do you know when your due date is?

Anais we'll be pretty much going through it together - I'll have a 19 month old and a newborn if all goes well! I might get a private scan a 8 weeks as waiting for 12 seems soooo long!

Thanks Duchesse

Thought I'd join to if ok? Just had a positive test yesterday, and am around 5 weeks, so will be due late July/early August.

This will be my first pregnancy, and as I am 38, am feeling nervous, but at the same time, not quite believing it.

I have also booked an early scan - fingers crossed hope all is well. Seems ages away..

mrsmamma · 01/12/2011 13:31

Hey I'm due late July early aug too!! Anyone getting any symptoms? I just got sore boobs at the mo and sometimes a tight feeling in my belly! Anyone had this?

Fishpond · 01/12/2011 14:29

Congrats to all of you!! I'm due July 16 and have been anxiously awaiting the August bus to make me feel more pregnant Grin

Will never forget getting my BFP! Best wishes to everyone xxxxx

AnaisB · 01/12/2011 20:36

Congratulations lulubelle, mrsmamma and fishpond.

Angel two under two. I know I'm hardly the first, but I worry how I'll give them both enough attention.

Have felt nauseous today, but possibly related to having greasy chips and gravy for lunch. (Also not helped by arriving at my mum's for tea and being asked if I could cook the mackerel while she had a bath.)

mrsmamma · 02/12/2011 07:16

Hi Katie I'm worried about telling work too! I only started there in early Oct so basically got pregnant in 1st month being there! I'd been TTC for approx 5 months whilst in my last job which was very high stress n nothing now I'm less stressed it hAppened! I was stRting to think it wudnt happen so didn't go back on the pill when started new job!!

I'm almost 6 weeks now I think !

Angel786 · 02/12/2011 11:54

Welcome lulubelle, mrsmamma and fishpond Grin

Went to work Xmas party yesterday and felt almost guilty as I'm back to work (from mat leave) next week and everyone seems quite keen for me to go back, little do they know it may only be for 7 or 8 months!

Symptoms: very dry mouth / throat. Emotionally out of control - crying far too much over silly things!

OP posts:
mrdarceych · 02/12/2011 11:59

Can i join? Did 3 tests a couple of days ago, in shock at mo, was not exactly planned!.. Anyway, dd should be end july/ early august! Did put my own post up, but reckon we should all stick together on this one! Not been pregnant before, and am 41 so am a bit worried about the road ahead!! Fingers crossed for everyone!!!

RealLifeIsForWimps · 02/12/2011 12:22

Hi ALL. Well per the all-knowing MN calendar, I'm due 3rd August with DC2 (already have a DS who's 14 mo).

mrsmamma · 02/12/2011 13:25

Welcome everyone, it will be great to talk to people going through similar stages!!

Anyone got any strAnge symptoms!

Other than tender boobs I don't feel any different do any of you? X

mrdarceych · 02/12/2011 13:45

Yes, very tender boobs...and heavy too!! Nothing else at the moment....just my brain in overtime!! Not sick yet, but sometimes get very watery mouth...and am horny as heck!! Haha!!!

NauseousKitty · 02/12/2011 14:53

Hi - I'd love to join in as well. I think that I am due early August and I am both overjoyed and terrified!

I have the usual sore chest but I am feeling constantly nauseous (hence the talk name). Do any of the more experienced Mums have any suggestions of how I can help this - it's starting to rule my life!
