dorcas not much you can do I don't think- wear supportive shoes (not flip flops etc) and ask about orthotic foot soles for your shoes which may help a bit. You can get them in the footcare bit of boots, or from a scholl chiropody place. A friend had a similar problem at an earlier stage of pg and she had some inserts specially made which helped. Otherwise the sca sounds like an excellent plan!!!

Thanks Clareanna, I did have a pair of orthotics but I've lost them- can't find which shoes I wore them in last. (It would have been a long time ago as I have been living in just the one pair of boots for months now). I am so regretting not wearing the orthotics earlier on now, it may have saved me from this! Ah well, I'll add it to my list of minor ailments to grumble about and retreat to the sca/sofa!

The list has shrunk considerably since my last visit. Good to see the list of babies has grown though
Can't believe I'm 30 weeks, home straight now lol.
Have almost got the nursery done just awaiting the cotbed and I need to hang some pictures
Have washed all the clothes and am just waiting for the last lot to finish in the dryer then I can get it all put away ready. I spend far too long sitting in the nursery daydreaming lol....oh well it's not like I have anything better to do lol.
DH is insisting I get my bag packed but it seems a bit early for that, I guess I might as well do it then I don't need to worry.
Will try and get on here more often now I've got myself more organised.....have missed so much.

awww... look at all the little babies that have arrived recently! Makes it all seem like there's a real end point.

I've been feeling really low the last week, not really sure why, but doing much better this week. Am really excited and nervous about our 20 week scan on Wednesday...eek! Just hope everything's okay with the little June Bug. We're also planning on finding out what we're having, so i'm really excited about that!

orange I'm SO pleased to see you back here! I hope your pregnancy stops being so dramatic and starts travelling along a more boring and peaceful path! What a first few months!!

nix did you have a scan today? Hope all is going well with your little bean.

big waves to everyone else, and am particularly looking forward to the tentative appearances of my lovely TTC buddies... am thinking of you all in this scary post-BFP pre-12-weeks period!

Scan was fab - little monkey kept doing backflips so wont be getting the nuchal measurement anytime soon. Yes its fine, heartbeat etc in tact, and everything else where it should be......

Bloody 'ell though will you look at that list, there's more below than above! When I joined (at about 5 weeks!) I think Jacanne had just had her little one but not yet updated. All those wonderful long dreamed of babies later, still amazed to find myself among them, look how many of us grads there are! Really hoping to see more of the inbetweeny-thread lurkers join the list, honest, you won't jinx yourselves - be brave for your mini-beaners - it feels GOOD to out yourself!

Dorcas can't believe you're top, I was on the lovely Isle of Mull I believe when you announced your BFP. Doesn't seem that long ago at all. Clare how have you sneaked up so far too!! The list is teeny these days!

How's my old pal 8s doing? I've been tempted to grumble recently at reappearance of SPD, hip pain in bed at night etc- can't imagine the tribulations of having two in there. Gi1da you're doing well catching up, even if you're in a sleep deprived state. Ren must be a very good little boy for his Mummy.

I had a MW appt which was good, heard a lovely HB and all is well. Although she was outlining the next few visits and mentioned getting my section date sorted -- which bemused me as consultant has talked of a VBAC. I'll wait to see what ideas the wee man has since if he's breech like his sister then that will be that.

Took DD to a party for her nursery mate on Saturday. His Mum asked me when I was due, commenting that I can't have long to go! Ok, so I must look like a blimp already at 5 months!

Just reposting the list as somehow Jemima ended up being named after Ms Macpherson rather than her great grandmother!

Things are going ok, struggling with hour long sessions of wailing and not knowing how to soothe her... it's horrible, I just feel completely helpless and it's really really hard - has been quite a teary day here. Feeding going amazingly though so I know I'm lucky in that sense. I'll be really glad when my bits stitches (or bitches as DH calls them) are better and I can move around without wincing. Then it won't be so traumatising to try to push off the sofa while holding her!

Hope all is well with babies on the list (both pre- and post- birth). Lovely to hear the good scan news too - fab!

toomuch have you read the baby whisperer? Talks about the different cries and how to identify them. My DS really suffered with trapped wind (it was always wind!!) and that book really helped me.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jolls i feel brave :) i have even mailed a couple of my pregnant friends (who were pg when i mc) so they would talk to me again!! all got a little awkward, kind of thing.

Thankyou so much for the whoops and good wishes, the relief is just incredible, even to have got this far...gosh talking like i have won the lottery (feels better ) still a very very long way to go but i feel like we have cleared the first hurdle.

DH told DS tonight, hes 3, just looked a little bemused at the scan pic! Still not going public other than a few select discreet pals (and of course everyone on here )

Good on you owl and nix!! TMT try not to feel overwhelmed, remember you are just getting to know each other and it is very belwildering inititally. Being full of hormones doesn't help so don't be hard on yourself either - you'll get there soon x

Secretly Nix I am actually officially due two days before you but I know this to be complete and utter bollocks and the 7th is correct. Plus tis baby number 1, it will be late. Still got to get through nuchal fold scan this Thurs - glad yours didn't behave either and it's not just mine being a total badass.

Tis nice to have someone to compare with though, and extra nice that loads of the lovely ladies from the conception thread will be arriving here in the next few weeks and months - am looking forward to seeing them all turn up :)
