glad to hear it lotto

marking new Fred. Off to watch crap tv now. :)

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 18/01/2011 21:11

yay, lotta, that is good news :)

OMG and congratulations to RHG! glad you're on the mend and Cecily is ok. :)

Managed to throw myself down the stairs again, now have a stripey bum and back, bruises on my hands and feet and elbows as well, but at least bump is ok says my very unsympathetic husband, and MIL phoned especially to tell me I need to be more careful. as if I did it on purpose. Angry

clareanna · 18/01/2011 21:57

Great news lotta

ivy ouch! I've been walking into things a bit lately - bump means it's easy to knock into things!

nickstermum · 18/01/2011 22:35

fab news lotta*

moo are you ok lovely? I hope so, anxiousness and extra worry is totally not what you need at 23 weeks xxxxx hope you are doing ok!

Ouch ivy!

Ah ladies, thanks for your well wishes, feeling much better after the weekend of flu jab, seemed to knock us all for six! Shitting it, scan on monday and i am now 11 weeks by my dates, bit further on with 8 week scan dates. Am at a sales conference with work, i am in hotel room and all my chums are in the bar! so far i have managed to disguise and hide my bump wobbly bits although i think they all think im just a boring fattie! Grin

Hope everyone is well...

magic 2 cots....aah! Grin fab on their growth scans x

sparklyrainbow · 18/01/2011 22:50

Right, decided I should probably stop lurking.... Have reposted from the old thread... if I'm going to stop lurking I should probably make an effort so people see it!

Alex is 3 weeks old now and doing well (10lb 3!!!), I?m healing slowly (anyone any experience of how long it took before episiotomy not sore- surface has healed well?) and beginning to feel a little more like he is not a random little animal but rather a person Blush Grin Survived my first day with DH back at work today though it?s been a hellish day with a Velcro child who was hungry but not wanting to feed all afternoon... am now allowed a break and made DH cook dinner so I could catch up on the thread rest

Big congrats to everyone who?s popped since me- GLB, Bunny, Alba and Gilda with your gorgeous boys and WYG and RHG with your lovely girlies. Hopefully TMT is on the list now too? Gilda, I too am amazed by the amount of washing. RHG think your labour beats mine, hope you?re recovering well.

Magic, can imagine how uncomfy you must be, the weight I can empathise with but double movement Shock. Not long now... :)

((Moo)) hope everything calms down a bit for you, sure everything is fine but agree you should get them to check. Take it easy x

Sure I have missed lots of news and stuff (Viv, 'this shit just got real' comment, lol!) so waves and good wishes to everyone xx

nickstermum · 19/01/2011 06:40

sparkly i seem to remember my episiotomy took quite a little while to heal properly. I have to say though its all healed nicely etc but since i have been pg this time its been very sore again - bonkers huh? Fab that you are surviving no DH!!

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 19/01/2011 08:56

Morning!

Great news Lotta. How's the itch? Mine has seemed MUCH better since I have been taking Spatone everyday as I was a little anaemic, it's also helped with the restless legs. My hgb levels have also come up since taking it. Also you could ask for some aqueous cream but they do a menthol one which is supposed to be better......I am picking some up tomorrow so will let you know.

Ivy ouchie!!! Hope you are ok.

Moo how you feeling this morn?

Bastard council started relaying the road at 1am this morn until gone 3..........think I might take craptop back to bed.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 19/01/2011 08:57

Lovely to hear from you Sparkly can't believe where the time is going?!

clareanna · 19/01/2011 09:09

Hi Sparkly good to hear from you! I seem to remember it taking 5/6 weeks to feel OK, but if I over exerted myself if would sometimes throb / ache and that happened for about 6 months.

moo how are you feeling?

clareanna · 19/01/2011 09:10

magic I was kept awake by hiccups last night - baby brother had them for 2 hours - NOT FUNNY!

Muser · 19/01/2011 10:14

Morning all. Just marking my place. I'm getting a lovely taste of maternity leave at the moment, booked yesterday and today off work. It's so nice not being in work, 2 weeks to go and I'm properly free!

Midwife appointment this afternoon. I was a bit dehydrated last time so I will mostly be spending today drinking water to avoid being told off again.

CaribouMoo · 19/01/2011 10:19

Morning, I'm a bit better today thanks. The constant dull aches and cramps have stopped but have been replaced by short bursts of intense cramps - which feel remarkably like Braxton Hicks. Surely its a bit early for those? Had some last night and about 3 this morning but none since after 9am and thankfully no more spotting.

Sympathies to 8s and clare for the lack of sleep - that's the last thing you need! Good to hear from Sparkly and to know that you are both doing well x Hope you'll be feeling better from now Lotta

Muser · 19/01/2011 10:30

Glad you're feeling a bit better Moo. On the BH, I learnt yesterday that we all get them from the moment of conception, so it's not too early. Most of us just don't feel them or, if we do, don't realise what they are. Hope you continue to improve.

VivClicquot · 19/01/2011 10:45

Morning all. Just marking my place.

moo - glad you're feeling a bit better today. Clearly I can't advise on the old Toni Braxtons being a first timer, but hopefully that's all it is xx

sparkly - lovely to hear from you! Like 8s, I can't believe how time has flown but it's fab to hear that you and your gorgeous boy are doing so well.

Unbuffy · 19/01/2011 11:14

Marking...

More MooHugs, and and v pleased for Lotta

Lovely to see Sparkley back, time goes so fast doesn't it? I can't believe BabyBuff is nearly 7 weeks! Head control and focussing and stuff! As to washing, it's not just the baby clothes, it's the mummy clothes covered with sick too! Especially with the 'what can i possibly wear that doesn't have a bump section but still fits me as i'm still ginormous but in all different places' thang - adds up to about 3 outfits. Oh, and went to get new bras on Friday and have gone up from C to F as BB so hungry... (last measurement during pregnancy) That would explain discomfort of boobies and lack of tops that fit.

Ho hum, back to feeding time...

Love to all, am sure I've missed lots of stuff as still sleepstarved etc...

Unbuffy · 19/01/2011 11:15

Like Ivy - gentle hugs due to black and blue ness...

And TMT, waiting with baited breath...

dorcas111 · 19/01/2011 11:55

Hi everyone, marking my place too.

Moo, glad to hear things are better and there's been no more spotting.

magic and clare I hope you get to catch up on some sleep today, its hard enough getting a good night's sleep without roadworks to contend with- and two hours of hiccups! Although I read somewhere that it is a sign of a healthy baby so that's a good thing!

Muser it's lovely not having to be at work, I hope the next two weeks fly by for you then you can properly put your feet up and relax.

Viv, you must be off on your holidays soon, yes?

sparkly and unbuffy, lovely to hear from you, glad all is going well with your little ones.

Ivy, poor you, hope the bruises are not too sore. I have managed to fall up the stairs several times since being pregnant- I think its all the additional weight out front, the momentum just propels you forward! Not quite as bad as falling down them though. I get told all the time to be careful by people- as if I am likely to forget that I am pregnant and be really reckless!

Lotta, great news about the OC test.

I had a letter from the hospital telling me my B12 levels are low and I need to pick up a prescription from my GP for a supplement. I've also been told I'm a bit anaemic. It makes me feel a bit crap, like I have failed in some way to keep healthy. I know I'm probably being stupid but I feel a bit blue. Also, the closer I get to my DD the more anxious I think I am getting. Not about the birth exactly, but just worried about something happening to the baby, having got this far. Do other people feel like this as they get nearer to the baby arriving?

clareanna · 19/01/2011 12:26

Dorcas try not to worry -the baby will be getting everything it needs- it is your bodys' first priority for nutrients, which is why you're left a bit depleted!
Anxiety at this stage is really normal and especially for us as we know from others on the thread and from out own experiences and sometimes things don't go to plan - which I think can make us all more nervous than others. I'd recommend talking about any fears you have with your mw - they will be able to put your mind at rest x

unbuffy F?! impressive?!

i made the Hoooge mistake of weighing myself this morning - Oh. My. God. I am heavier than DH!

Unbuffy · 19/01/2011 12:32

Dorcas I got terrified - kept poking baby in the last few weeks and days to make sure it was still there. Masses of anxiety and the odd panic attack too. It's quite normal! You won't stop worrying even when it's out (i still poke BB and listen to his breathing when he's asleep - mind you i do the same with dd and she's 2!)

Clare Hmm not impressive so much and v v weighty! Am also liable to fall upstairs atm...

Unbuffy · 19/01/2011 12:33

ps SCALES ARE EVIL AND LIE
repeat after me 100 times

PenguinsMummy · 19/01/2011 13:38

Afternoon all.

Dorcas I've been feeling anxious again recently even though baby is moving loads. I think I have polyhydraminos again as am very very large and I had it with DD2 - seeing the midwife next week so am going to ask to get scanned to check.

Ivy poor you - I have open stairs at work and have taken to using the lift as keep feeling really unbalanced when using them - and my right hip and leg are knackered so that doesn't help either!

Moo and Lotta glad things are better

Magic I don't know how you get any sleep with 2 in there but roadworks will not help

Clare stay away from scales!!! Bad idea!!

Muser · 19/01/2011 14:28

Step away from the scales! Unless they're my scales, which now I have incredibly thick carpet have started weighing about 2 stone lighter than they should. So if anyone wants to weigh themselves, come to my house and do it. Grin

VivClicquot · 19/01/2011 15:54

Nooooooo. Don't tell me scales lie! I'm clinging on to the fact that despite having a bump that everyone comments is larger than it should be at this stage, I've still not yet put on a full stone in weight! This is my comfort blanket when I'm feeling particularly cumbersome!

NewImprovedJollster · 19/01/2011 22:54

what are scales?
