Thanks again guys. Enjoy your mat leave Penguin and Loopy!

owl, have you had any joy with movements or is your bub still sneaking round the back? Best of luck for Monday.

Still a tiny bit of bleeding which I know I probably shouldn't worry about but it's giving me horrible flashbacks. Also I know it's stupid but I was hoping this pg would be like my first, which was textbook (until near the end, when DD was breech), and not like the problematic second one. So now this is a 'problem' pg and I don't feel I can relax or do physical stuff, go for walks etc, like I'd like to. I know I am moaning about nothing probably. But I hope it all goes back to 'normal' soon.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 12/03/2011 16:06

hugs to lucy :)

penguin I'm wearing size 10-12 non maternity clothes now, some people just HAVE to comment.

SPD strikes - OWWW.

MW appointment on tuesday to check my Hb levels again, fingers crossed they've gone up!

owlbooty · 12/03/2011 17:02

Lucy The little darling resurfaced yesterday after I treated him to a latte Grin but it's still really sporadic - I guess that's all one can expect at 19 weeks.

I suspect he's saving his energy for some more breakdancing during the scan on Monday - he'd better not be as I def. cannot afford another private scan, lovely though they are. At this rate I am going to be taking back scan money out of his pocket money until he is 30.

Ivy more tasty chocolate required just to make sure? :)

lucysnowe · 12/03/2011 19:50

Excellent news owl!

I remember the first time round DD was generally quiet all day, then went a bit mad in the evening, and when I was trying to get to sleep. And it was the same when she was born. Smile So a nice placid baby in the womb = nice placid baby in general. Honest. Grin

Morning all. Loopy and Stuffed can you tell which way your babies are lying, or have MWs told you? I have no idea, this baby is so active just now I'm feeling kicks all over the place and my whole bump is shaking! I thought I would notice a difference since DD was breech all the time but I haven't noticed anything so far - maybe when he puts his bulk on I will. Assuming he stays head down that is!

Penguin well done on reaching your maternity leave! I've been counting down from 9 weeks, 5 weeks to go tomorrow. Lucy glad you heard the HB, that's bound to make you feel better. MW couldn't hear one at my 16 week check but assured me she heard him move about. Glad yours went so well and hope the spotting stops soon.

That's exciting you can feel movement now Owl! I started to feel rumblings at 18 weeks and by 20 weeks there was no mistaking them. I know what you mean though, sometimes if the baby moves its days before you feel more which can freak you out - all perfectly normal at that stage though. The wee man feels as though he is up all day and night at the moment so I hope that's not his established pattern!

I'm only just starting to feel better. Was a bit scared by Thursday after 5 days of dreaded 'loose motions' so phoned the doc. She just said can't take anything, and expect it to last up to 7 days and that there is a bug going about. Today all good so far, but I hardly ate at all yesterday trying to clear it up. Hope that's the end of it, its a bit ridiculous to go on so long!

CaribouMoo · 13/03/2011 11:13

Good grief, no list in over a week. This is bound to go tits up, apologies in advance. Also, I think I'm catching jollster's penchant for list tidying. Does anyone know if Osch is still about? I don't remember seeing a post from her since I joined. Or hearing from Emmywoo or Purplehibiscus - am I wrong?

Well done on list keeping moo
Glad you are slowly feeling better, are you taking some time off work to recover and get your strength back? You know the wee man will be fine- getting all he needs from your reserves, but that leaves you feeling doubly shattered! If you're not already, I suggest taking a probiotic xx

ivy ow on your behalf!!! Hope you can take it easy a bit x

littlemiss72 · 13/03/2011 12:20

Morning all! How you all diddling Grin

Well done on the list moo like you I'm counting down the weeks to maternity leave! I've decided to go early seeing as my job involves so much running around, somehow I don't see me managing an event for 200+ in Dubai as much as I'd like to.

Question for you all: I have a nice riggler inside however I have noticed over the past week increasing lower pain. It was originally just in the right side however I've noticed now it's more across my lower pelvic area. I did mention this to the MW on wed but she said just to keep an eye on it. I consider my paid threshold to be pretty good and on a scale of 1-10 sometimes this hits an 8 so pretty bad. Baby sits in the lower area, sometime I even feel the odd 'och' when my riggler kicks that area - typing this I'm answering my own question.. I need to see someone right? Had Friday off work as I felt so rubbish Sad

Sorry about the me post - thought you ladies would be the best source of advice Wink

Happy Sunday, love to all x

littlemiss72 · 13/03/2011 12:21

pain not my paid threshold .. how funny!

CaribouMoo · 13/03/2011 12:24

Clare I spoke too soon, just had another vicious episode. Am going to make an appt to see the doc tomorrow as heartily sick of this. I need to provide a stool smaple too - which will be a lovely first for me!

I got some Onken pro-biotic greek style yogurt yesterday and will keep eating it today. All ate yesterday was that, a slice of brown toast with nothing on it and brown rice for dinner. I'm wondering if I might have developed IBS or an intolerance for something rather than it being a bug? Does that happen during pregnancy? I can't eat any white bread, pasta etc without a similar reaction at the best of times so I probably have a propensity towards these things.

How are things going with you and family? What does DS1 make of DS2 and having a baby brother? x

CaribouMoo · 13/03/2011 12:28

Crossed posts Littlemiss, it could be a touch of ligament pain or SPD? Although not sure baby kicks would trigger that - its more to do with you moving about. Your MW will need to give more advice I think, or perhaps ask your doc?

littlemiss72 · 13/03/2011 12:45

Oh the moving about is pretty awful moo if I sit for too long when I do get up I'm walking like a funky chicken Shock honestly never felt anything like it.

Hope you get some answers to, not very pleasant for you hun x

clareanna · 14/03/2011 08:44

littlemiss sounds like pelvic girdle pain (SPD) does it hurt turning over in bed/ getting out of bed? If it is that you should be about to see a physio who can give you some exercises to help a bit and tips on how to help prevent it getting too bad. It is horrid though, but disappears as soon as you have the baby!

stuffedmk · 14/03/2011 11:38

Moo I think transverse is easier to tell than breach, I would get bulges at both sides when bubs started stretching lol. Thought he had moved round over last couple of weeks due to discomfort low down and a different shape and Dr confirmed he was head down a few days ago. Can't say I had any idea with my first though lol. Having had a fair amount of BHs with this one helps identify the outline of baby as everything tightens (never had them with first).
littlemiss does sound like SPD or pelvic girdle pain, not nice, you should be able to see the physio but generally try and take it easy.....I am getting more and more housebound at the moment as it takes less and less to make mine flair up (thankfully mine does go off sometimes). I made the mistake of doing a thorough clean out of the chicken's run a couple of days ago, and paid for it big time!!

OMG 37 weeks today Grin Officially full term...you hear that little man...Hurry up!!!

Hello ladies. Can I mark my place on your lovely thread? I've got a 16 week scan on Weds next week (23rd). If that goes well I think I might finally have the courage to jump over from the freak out thread :)
