He is 2.10. The book says by this age he should be able to hold wees for about three hours. He had a drink around an hour ago and since then has done six wees , three in the potty (after prompting) and three in large puddles on the floor. Surely this isn't normal??? Even if he is trained we will spend our whole lives in the toilet. Me, him, and the baby. Hurrah. Or does he wee too much to be capable of training and will he therefore have to spend his whole life in nappies? And not go to the pre school he is due to start next term because they want him trained. .. And I am desperate for him to get to so I can get him out of my hair for a bit..

Stressed....

Make that four puddles on the floor...

Sounds like none of us having a good day!

Minshu · 18/04/2012 22:27

To add to the two wee accidents this morning, we had two poo accidents, while at a friend's house, this afternoon Blush But that's ok - her DD is just the same Grin

On the plus side, dry after her nap and no more wee accidents. I actually put a nappy on her for about 45 minutes before bath, as she'd been complaining about having a sore bottom and didn't want metanium sticking to knickers, and she still waited to wee until we took that off and put her on the toilet. So, we are getting there but poo does seem to take longer to get right.

Back to nursery tomorrow - I'm sure they are better at it all there.

QueenSconetta · 18/04/2012 23:06

That sounds promising Minshu, if she waited until her nappy was off then something must have clicked.

We had the most disgusting poo accident this afternoon, although she did say she needed the toilet, so I'm not sure if it just slipped out on the way there. It was disgusting - had to bath her!!

Anyway she has been dry all day and asked to go the toilet this afternoon and did, quote 'a great big massive poo Mummy!' in the loo.

DD is also back to CM tomorrow - I am almost as nervous as the very first day she went! Have agreed with her not to put a nappy on her, but if it becomes unmanageable I will collect her, then there are 4 more days before she goes back for us to do more one to one training with her. Fingers crossed though!!

Managed to stay away from the gin too!

Calamityboo · 19/04/2012 07:03

Wow, princess sounds like she has really cracked it! Well Jr is with his aunt all day today so we will see how that goes later!

Can't believe you managed to stay off the gin!

QueenSconetta · 19/04/2012 08:00

You wouldn't be saying that if you'd seen poo-gate - boak!.

Good luck Jnr!, xx.

mintymellons · 19/04/2012 11:54

Hello!

Can I join you please? Day one of cold turkey with DD2 aged 2.1. Pants on for amost three hours and just one wee on floor (literally, that's the only wee she's done!). I have to do school run to get DD1 this aft so dreading that but will stick with it as I know from experience that cold turkey is the way to go. Good luck and well done to everyone on here!

QueenSconetta · 19/04/2012 15:51

Hi Minty, fingers crossed for you, x.

Calamityboo · 19/04/2012 17:02

Hi minty, read the full thread and take comfort, we have all been elbow deep! Good luck.

QueenSconetta · 19/04/2012 18:27

Argh! We were doing so well... Dry and CM and only 1 poo accident (which apparently she took off herself), but since we got home (and DP gave her congratulatory big girl bike), she wet while playing outside (although she did say she needed the toilet so I think we were just too slow), then pooed in her fresh pants! Where's the gin?

Calamityboo · 19/04/2012 18:46

we have yet to collect Jr from his aunt, save me a bit of gin just in case.

Minshu · 19/04/2012 19:20

oh no, queen! Was just about to say it sounds like princess has it cracked. But playing with her bike must have been very exciting.

Mini Min was in the same trousers and knickers as when we dropped her at nursery this morning! Turned round while I was running her bath just now to find her weeing on the toilet :) just hoping she hasn't been saving her poo for the bath!

Hope jnr had a good day.

welcome, minty, and good luck!

QueenSconetta · 19/04/2012 20:06

That is fantastic Minshu, well done mini! I think we are getting there, at least she is telling us, x

Minshu · 19/04/2012 21:15

Got through the bath with no poo! :)

x

Calamityboo · 19/04/2012 22:18

Hiya, well partly successful day, all dry just 1 poo accident! I am very impressed with mini min! I think we can say we are getting there. How's your day been minty? Do you need Wine has little mint been ok?

mintymellons · 20/04/2012 09:29

Still working my way through the thread and enjoying everyone's tales.

DD2 had a pretty good first day yesterday. More in potty that on floor. She wee'd in the pushchair during school pick up and had to sit in wet trousrs/pants for 10 mins which seemed to 'help' her understand the concept of moisture!

Day two here we go...

Calamityboo · 20/04/2012 14:30

2, count them again......... 2 poos in the potty! 1 little dribble in pants, day 6 so else so good. How's everyone else doing?

Minty, sounds like little mint had a great start!

QueenSconetta · 20/04/2012 16:08

Well done Jnr! I haven't spoke to Gran since before lunch so who knows. I Princess is being left with KingDaddyScone tonight so who knows what will happen there!

Calamityboo · 20/04/2012 16:37

He had a wet nap, my fault really, he fell asleep in the car before I had chance to get him on the potty, and I just let him sleep rather than wake him for a pee. Feel bad for Jr now :( he was having such a good day. Everyone else having a good day?

Minshu · 20/04/2012 19:07

Good potty pooing, Jnr!

Mini Min really hasn't got the hang of poo, and had another accident at nursery today. And a wee accident just now. I should have asked before, but lost track of time...

QueenSconetta · 21/04/2012 16:42

How are you all getting on today?

Calamityboo · 21/04/2012 18:57

We had 2 accidental pees, one when he was upset and one after a birthday party, in quite good I think. How's princess doing? Hope everyone else is having a good day!

QueenSconetta · 21/04/2012 20:40

That sounds great Calamity. Princess did pretty well, 2 x poo in toilet, 1 tiny poo accident, but dry so that's good. Mummy had her twice a year hangover today, so a lot of Peppa pig was watched as Daddy was out at Rugby. No wine or gin for me tonight!

3duracellbunnies · 21/04/2012 20:41

Not posted for a while, been watching the bun fights on another thread. DS has now been nappy free for 3 weeks. He is doing ok, but still needs to go rather sharpish, which is tricky when dd2 is the nimblist thing on two legs and can dodge infront of anyone when she is desperate. He seems to be able to do days or nights, but not both, or he can be dry at home but not when out or vice versa. Maybe there is no pattern, but it seems as if say last night he was dry all night (had 3 wet nights in 2 weeks), but today he was wet twice when out, but not at all at home. Another day we might be out and about loads, completely dry, but then we get home and he's filled the washing machine before I can blink. Fortunately he is holding it together on the school run, and we have had periods when he will be dry for 48hrs. It is getting easier, but bit fed up with 'standing up wees' I think as dh instigated them, maybe he should only do them with him, especially as the odd poo suddenly decides to come, not missed one yet though!

Calamityboo · 21/04/2012 21:11

Hi bunnies, have I missed all the fun again?
