Ellie is nearly 12 weeks and about 11 pounds. Born 3rd March.

After complaining yesterday about my girls they all slept really well last night! The older two were wiped out by 6:30pm and were asking to go to bed - so I called my Dad round to hold Faith for half an hour while I put the girls to bed and read a story. Those two slept til just before 7am!!! The only trouble I had was Faith had a dreadful evening, she wouldn't settle and was grouchy one minute, happy the next and on and off the boob all evening. I gave in at 9:30pm and gave her the bottle an hour early. She fell asleep at 10pm so I put her in her cot and went to bed myself. She woke up at 5am . I brought her into my bed to feed and we both fell asleep again til my alarm went off at 6:30am, at which point I sneaked out of bed, got myself and DDs 1 + 2 up and dressed, had breakfast, got everyone ready for school/nursery and had to wake Faith at 8:10am to give her a feed before the school run!

DH has been away to work - nights this week, and got back at 8:30 this morning, just in time to help me with the school run, when we got back and Faith still asleep, he sent me upstairs to have a nice relaxing bath while he sat with Faith. Now he's gone to bed, Faith is still asleep and I can have some time on MN!!

After a rotten few days I do feel a lot better after a good sleep!

I've been very aware of a few signs of PND (had it last time with DD2) over the last couple of weeks. It's hitting at around the same time too. It worries me sick because it was severe last time and nearly ended up in hospital. So I've told DH, he's very supportive, but does want me to get down the docs and get on the ADs ASAP.... which I really don't want to unless absolutley have to. Although I have agreed to go if I get another nightmare - was one of the signs last time, I get horrific nightmares that terrify me, DH had to come home from work to calm me down and check the kids as I couldn't move with fear, was convinced someone had been in the house and murdered my children. He said I sounded so panicked he thought it was true and was worried what he'd find when he got home.

I sooo don't want to end up like that again, I've felt fine for so long and really thought things were going well this time . I've only told DH, I don't want to worry my Dad again.I felt I could tell you ladies, my cyber mummy friends as I know you'll understand.

Anyway, I won't dwell on it because today is a better day.

Going to have Faith weighed on Friday, bet she's over 10lb now. She will be 10weeks old tomorrow.

Must be off now, gosh doesn't the time fly? Have to go get DD2 from nursery. Her tummy is a lot better, no more upset since yesterday afternoon - but am keeping her food pretty bland til I know for sure!! .

Hello to everyone - hope I'll be back later for a proper chat not just a moan! Sorry!

Have just had my third bad night in a row! Have been so spoilt till now with Lauren sleeping well that when she doesn't, it's a shock to the system! She's waking up very early for her feed at 12 instead of 3ish and then for the rest of the night she is so restless, writhing and moaning eventhough she is seemingly sleeping. She is in the room with me until our renovations are finished and I can't sleep for all the noise. She is also waking up at 5:30 instead of 6:30/6:45. Suppose shouldn't complain - at least she does sleep but she seems so uncomfortably asleep. Is that normal for her to be so restless. She had seemed snuffly the night before but I put some Karvol drops on a cloth near her last night and seemed to do the trick.
Screamed the place down this morning when I put her down for her morning nap. Maybe she's feeling offish. Will see when I get to my mums whether she went down for her long sleep. Left her with my mum while I went to my fitness trainer lady. She specialises in ante and post natal exercise and helped me during my pregnancy. Now she is working on my wobbly tummy, which is thankfully finally returning to something approaching flat. Still have weight to loose which won't be helped by me polishing off the rest of DH's KFC takeaway! Anyway, salads tonight.

3mummy, get the AD's if you feek yiu need them. they are helping me a lot. i aso have vivid reams, the worst for mne was when i dreamt that omeone was in the house. scared me sh*tless i can tell you.

3mummy - hope you are doing ok - at least you are super-aware of the dangers this time round, so you should be able to shout for help as soon as you need it. That should mean things won't get as bad as last time.

jambot - lots of sympathy on the sleep front. I remember my older daughter regressing in her sleep habits, having been quite good, and it's awful when you think you've got the sleep thing sorted.

We just had a lovely morning out with the girls and my mum and dad. I feel so relaxed. Mind you I will soon be back in my maternity gear if I continue eating this much food. We had a fabby pub lunch out, and I've just spotted the cheescake my mum has got for pudding this evening!

Hi everyone, sorry its been a while. Nights not good at mo, used to go down at 9.30p.m and sleep through til 6.30a.m. now being diff to settle at 9.30 and waking at 3am for feed, diff to settle again and up at 6a.m.
To update your list Dylan will be 12 weeks on fri and weighed today 14lb and 1 oz.
1st weigh in at slimming world 2 morrow, will let you all know how it goes. i have been really good.

He is 6 weeks and 2 days today and weighs 6.7Kg (14lb 12oz).

Hang in there 3Mummy - at least you've recognised the symptoms before things get out of hand.
I sometimes feel a bit low but think it's more to do with being apart from DH and not being in my own home as well as adjusting to motherhood.

Sorry if this is a silly question but I have really vivid dreams about bad things happening to Kieran and wake up crying and cannot let him out of my sight for days. Do you guys think I should be worried?

I sometimes have irrational thoughts about mine an Ava's mortality, for me I think its because I'm a first-time mum and I very suddenly lost my mother aged 48 in 2003. So do sometimes think the worst! But I'm sure that all will be well and good for us both Norash!!!!

was just thinking, it was around this age that lauren got really ill with brocholitis, and went all floppy on me. we ended up at a+e for one night. i dont think i've ever been so scared. fortunatly serena doesnt even have a sign of a snuffle.

i also worry about bad things happening to my kids, one thing that replays a lot of my mind is that dd1 collasped a few times around the age of 2. the docs could find nothing wrong. but with dh heart problems i wonder if dd1 id affected. sounds awful i know, but she is so much like dh its scary. would kill me if she is affected tho

Misdee - I'm not surprised you may worry about your kids, what a mare you've been through with Lauren and the collapsing an all, I'd a been inconsolable. Glad Serena is coming along nicely.

This may be a silly question but at what age do you stop demand feeding? I was thinking 3 months, when I plan to establish a better sleep routine for Ava. What are you guys doing feeding wise? thanks. x

Well Caleb loves his cot and is now fast asleep in it so I can get some work done!

Norash I have the same worries, i've sat holding Caleb and crying to myself because i'm so scared of something happening to him. I'm getting better as he's getting older, but I still worry. I need to lose about 2 stone and have decided to try and do an exercise video once a night while DP has Caleb.

Caleb had his second round of injections yesterday and after the trauma off his first round I was petrified and took DP with me, Caleb was fine! He cried for about 30 seconds and then was back to normal, couldn't believe it. He's a bit grouchy today but he was the same last time.

I hope we all had a good night and that our babies are behaving themselves. We had a better night with Kieran last night.

Hi Pidge. Our daughters share a birthday. Lauren was also 11 weeks today and weighs about 6.2kgs. Don't know what that is in pounds. How long do you find that she can stay awake before she gets niggly? Lauren seems to be getting extra tired at the moment. And she has been waking at funny hours in the night since Saturday. Freaking me out a bit as she was sleeping so well. Hope it's just a blip on the radar and not a permanent change. Can't figure out why she's doing it - so frustrating.

I've updated the list with Toby. He was weighed and had his 8 week jabs today - seems to be okay as we dosed him with Capol when we got home and he's just had another dose. Now zonked in his cot (give it 20 minutes and I bet he'll be awake again...)

Have amended Harry's details - and have given him a capital letter at the start of his name...maybe it is the eternal teacher in me but it was getting on my nerves

Things seem more settled here. He is in bed asleep now (wow 7:15!!!!). He now has a much stricter bedtime routine. Sometimes he wakes when I go to bed between 10 and 11 but if he is in a deep sleep, I leave him and he will maybe go til 1ish until he feeds. Quite often though, I bring him in with me at that point to feed and we doze off. If I sit up to feed, I often doze off anyway and wake an hour later wondering what on earth has gone on!!

Back to baby massage today - we did the stomach area which is great for wind and constipation. Harry is very windy and sicky and he LOVED his tummy being massaged. I really recommend the book I mentioned in the last thread - Infant massage by Vimala McClure - for anyone who is interested. It is really easy and is nice one to one time, especially if you have an older child....you can snatch afew moments with the little one.

Also yesterday, I took both boys to the toddler group that my mum normally takes ds1 to....and it just confirmed for me that I really really really don't want to go back to work.

What are you all doing about work (those of you who work outside of the home)? My current plan is to go back the week before the summer hols as I am moving classrooms and can go back when there is no pressure on. I need to confirm this in the next few weeks. My head says go back then, but Harry is still feeding regularly and I am at quite a loss as to see how it will pan out. I only need to get through that week then have the six week break. I figure by the time i go back in September, he will be 6 months old, will have started on solids and will be in more of a pattern. I really don't want to stop breastfeeding as it is going sooooo well and we both really enjoy it.

How is everyone else feeding? We are breastfeeding and it is still pretty much every 2.5 - 3 hours
