AH I've added you as a facebook friend. I've got sponge, neenz and P&P on my list of friends and my name begins with V if anyone wants to add me!

DebInAustria · 20/02/2009 09:52

Morning all, up to my eyes in party preparation here, will post photo of cake and birthday boy

goingtohaveagoodnightssleep · 20/02/2009 10:10

That's a fab cake!!!!!

Happy birthday to your boy - which ones birthday is it?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 20/02/2009 10:25

deb happy birthday to whichever one. february is a great month for birthdays, mine was yesterday and we had friends round, 7 of us, one not drinking and one drinking very little and 2 B&B's who had a drink with us, third of a bottle of gin, 4 bottles of red, almost 4 white and a ottle of champagne and I did manage to cook breakfast this morning

Amberc · 20/02/2009 10:26

Wow - that's the best cake ever!

spongebrainbigpants · 20/02/2009 10:29

Can't believe we're on a new thread already - it doesn't seem more than a week ago since I started the last one!

Deb, that is an amazing cake!

Just put Alex down for a nap - 5 mins grumbling and he's out for the count! Will probably still only sleep for 30 mins but gives me much needed time to put my feet up.

HCG from Tuesday was 74 which I think is fine for such an early pg. (LMP was only 23rd January so I'm not even a month pg yet ).

Now just have to cross fingers and hope it's heading in the right direction.

DebInAustria · 20/02/2009 10:32

Thanks

It's Tristan's 7th Birthday

happy Birthday for yesterday Five (that Kazoo is still going strong, we'll get our own back this afternoon)

If anyone's interested webcam will be on our garden for the snow party this afternoon

PiggyPenguin · 20/02/2009 11:18

Such a banana brain, have just realised I posted on wrong thread! so here is message again, and also birthday congrat's to Tristan and 5

'Just posting very quickly as off out with kids for family day but AH - you have the same first name as me!

Also, I'm far too soft for cc. Yes J is an appalling sleeper but I am a big fat wuss and will still rock him to sleep. Big respect for those of you who can do it though'

Essie3 · 20/02/2009 11:19

LOL Sponge, couldn't work out what LMP was for a while, and looked in my diary, and thought oh that was my last period...then the penny dropped. We're cycle buddies. Except not you because you're spared that event for a while!

Deb the cake is amazing - you're really talented!

Going and other facebook people, I have a very common name indeed. My initials are SE (geddit??), but in an attempt to be a bit more anonymous because my distinctive double first name (I use both and am known and addressed as SE...in Wales!) isn't there on facebook and I'm one of more than half a million with my surname. My surname is the same as 33% of the people in north Wales, so I may need to be passed on/recommended by someone else. Neenz, Aberdeen, Sponge, Puree.

whinegums · 20/02/2009 11:53

Hi all, I've sent a friend request to Neenz on FB, so if she adds me, I'll be on her friend list - my initials are AM, and I have a very Scottish name!

For the first time B went from 12.30 til 7 this morning without a feed! He woke up a couple of times, but we were co-sleeping (still at my mum's and he will not settle in the travel cot) so I just gave him a cuddle and his dummy back if he stirred. So now I know he doesn't need the middle of the night feed I feel we're getting somewhere!

Sounds like a good birthday Five. Deb, am impressed with your cake. I have already bought a birthday cake book, I haven't decided which one to make for B yet - 5 months left to decide anyway (yes, I am that sad, already planning the cake and first birthday party!!).

whinegums · 20/02/2009 11:59

Bugger, just got an email about the job I went to see about last week, and they can't make it work part time, so have offered it to someone else. Back to the drawing board - I HATE job hunting!!

josey · 20/02/2009 12:05

Thought I should pop on and say Hi.

Hope everyone is well, thanks for the FB requests I have become a bit of a Pet Society addict

Oli doing ok, managed a 3 and a half min prob on hand and knees over my leg

Unfortunately her head isnt growing its the size of a small 3month old

DH thankfully wasnt on the hellicopter never been so glad to see him watching footy on the sofa farting My prob with him is he does any rig any company and any kind of flightjust where there is a space, and I am alway in the dark to what is happening

Anyhoo love to all x

bitofadramaqueen · 20/02/2009 13:03

Hi everyone! Quick post while S having lunch. Can I join fb gang? whinegums if you send me a request that would get me started. If you search my name you'll find my pic. It would be great to be fb pals if there's not much in the way of MN-outing. Essie I know your real name too so will find you. Ah grumpy baby, gotta go!

Amberc · 20/02/2009 13:23

Oooh - there's people on the Austrian webcam!

pureeandpearls · 20/02/2009 14:40

trying to work webcam now....

Was thinking about FB that everyone should send friend request to one person, who can then suggest other MN they may know.... (this is just me being too lazy to go trawling through Neenz's 227 friends to find the MN ones)

Five- eek. Hope you feel better soon, but can't say you don;t deserve a night of indulgence after the week you've had.

Debs- you are the GODDESS of cakes!!

josey · 20/02/2009 14:44

I think I have found a couple of you on AH and Sponge FB only because I recognise the names from the donation list

Im not too worried about anyone knowing my name so if youd like to find me its Joanne Cameron x

pureeandpearls · 20/02/2009 14:55

Josey- I gotcha....now who else am I missing?

spongebrainbigpants · 20/02/2009 15:39

whinegums and BDQ, if you make friends with Essie, I'll find you from there. Or you can search for me - my first name is Clare and my surname is the same as the presenter from Crimewatch who was murdered! (And yes I have been called Jill by mistake sometimes! )

josey, really good to have you as an fb friend - your piccies are lovely.

Are they concerned about Oli's head - what does it mean for her development? Sorry if that's a thick question .

josey · 20/02/2009 16:33

Just had a huge screaming match with my neighbour in the street, do you not just hate selfish materialistic people that think the world spins because they are in it!!!!

Head not growing means that the brain isnt growing, its expected really due to the severe damage it has suffered, its not good in respect she isnt developing. ho hum.

spongebrainbigpants · 20/02/2009 16:42

Really sorry to hear that josey

and as for your neighbour - you poor thing, how stressful, have you had run ins before?

poppy34 · 20/02/2009 18:01

hi quick post as just skimmed last of old thread -to mark my place

pearls/rolf/neenz thanks for advice re edie - think it is a phase to live through (its not too bad and as you say puree its quite nice that hey are so alert).

will properly read other threads and catch up later (off to follow advice re fb notes).

poppy34 · 20/02/2009 18:03

oh josey that is just what she need -is it the same neighbour who was being slightly daft nervous re pregnancy/birth despite having had dc?

systemsaddict · 20/02/2009 18:28

hi guys, just getting this on my threads. Happy Birthdays to all, sorry to hear about job whinegums, hope party went well Deb, great about Alex' nap sponge!

Been feeling v. low all day, in fact all week if I look back on it. I think it's the sleep deprivation preying on my mood. Have done some CBT-ish work today while kids slept and this evening it has suddenly lifted, felt literally like a cloud lifting. Fingers crossed I will be feeling a bit better for a while.

abdnhiker · 20/02/2009 18:34

sybil what? how can we have the same first name? you mean yours isn't sybil?

Thanks to everyone who added me to fb - it's fun to see everyone's pictures. bitofdramaqueen - have you found me yet? Am Trish, surname starts with A. I'm totally going to get confused about who's who though - Essie and neenz are easy because their nicknames are sort of similar to their real names but the rest of us aren't so good for my pathetic memory...

abdnhiker · 20/02/2009 18:43

oh - and sorry to hear about the job whinegums - part time is such a challenge isn't it?

Happy birthday 5 and Tristan! What's life like with a 7 year old - I can't imagine it! (But four years isn't that long...)

sponge for your results!
