Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

I'm 25wks preg and feel that way Wilkie! If someone could hand me a 6months old, I would definatly have 4 but not sure I can put up with the pregnancy and baby stage after this one. We will see.

They just get more interesting the older they get. When Luke is not throwing a strop and I am not in a rush, it is great fun going out with him, he is is amazed by everything and never still. If only I could get that excited about a tractor with a trailer, or a bus, or a motorbike, or a train...(the list goes on) I am sure life would be alot more interesting!

Laughalot, dont worry about money, will happily send it to you if you email me your address, but I would say that if they dont get sore skin, I wouldn't use it. It is that awful thick white sort that you really have to rub in and doesnt wash off very easily. Not worth it IMO if they dont have eczema or sensitive skin. As I said you are very welcome to it, not trying to put you off it, but just so you know.

DJ had his MMR & pneumonia today.
He had them 3 months late as he was always ill - colds, D&V, chickenpox, and I wanted to make sure he was totally fine when he had it done.
He screamed for about 2 seconds...until I produced the chocolate buttons, then he was fine!

Oh dear, listen to this, we got a really bad score on our mystery shopper at work this month (40%!) and it turns out that it was partly due to me.
It was to do with travel cots. I sort of remember the customer too. An older person who was commenting on the price of them and how expensive they were etc for only occaisional use for her grandchild. I sort of, um, er...told them to look at a car boot sale for a 2nd hand one, and just buy the mattress new for £25. My manager thinks its quite funny and didn't mind, but the area manager is fuming. Apparently its totally against company protocol.
Personally, I think its a very high level of customer service. Which is what they want. And I would have sold her the bedding to go with it all!
I am itching for the area manager to give me a bolloking as she is a total head office corporate clone whose never worked on the shop floor and who leaves ridiculous messages on the answer phone at work about getting motivated and revving up sales. I'd love to meet her in person.
!!

ps:
I'm totally not planning another baby ever its far too much hard work. If I could have a 2 year old given to me, potty trained who sleeps through the night, then great, but, ugh. The thought of doing this again fills me with fear and dread!

  • sorry!

Have just been reading instructions which nurse gave me for MMR and pneumonia jabs. One of them is not supposed to be used on people who are allergic to eggs. I wasn't asked if he was allergic to eggs. He's not. But, weird.

Lal - Anyone would think I was starting a corporate revolution from the inside the way Area Manager was carrying on!

hi all good to see you all. Sorry about all the shit going on with various 'men'. it will get better for all concerned some way or another.

We're staying at my Brothers house, looking after my niece who is 3.6 my god, I don't know if I can cope muc longer! they usualyl are SO lovely with each other ( the girls ) this week they are squabbling over everyhting. Mainly isitigated by Katy. I'm giving her a very long tolerance IYSWIM as her mummy and daddy are away on their honeymoon. SO i don't think she's really her lovely little self.

Hope you are all well, just a quick helloooo, as have found you all again. Take care.

I ~never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever want to be preganant or have another baby, my 2 still dont sleep consistenly (although if Hattie wakes she goes and bothers Ellie until Ellie lets her into her bed with her), this morning it was before 5 am that H woke and she has been miserable all day had a 40min nap and woke up more miserable looked in her mouth and she has 6 big teeth coming down

DH - yey well done Ruth on the walking

Susie - and hi, hope the girls were ok today

I have spent all day rearranging furniture downstairs and spring cleaning (washed sofa covers and washed down all the toys) decided mid morning to move my dining room back into the room it used to be and playroom back in conservatory am very pleased with it now . May try upstairs bedrooms tomorrow but dont think theres a lot of scope to change our room but may move Hattie's and Ellie's beds around

Chemical castration for men over 30. It's the only way....

DH - well done Ruthie! I agree with Wilkie - this age is just the most gorgeous. I did manage to have about 5 second's worth of broodiness yesterday, but then thought, if I got pg now, the baby would be due in February....fuckkkkkkkkk no way, I am so not ready for a third!! Don't know if I ever will be. Like you, eandh, battling never sleeping through the night is killing me. ds2 has been shit these last 4 nights, and apart from last night, where was dh? In the spare room, oblivous. I threw a cereal box (empty) at him yesterday morning when he dared ask me how ds2 had been overnight . It's funny, my parents say my middle sis was the worst sleeper of us all, maybe it's a second child thing!! (DH - for the record I (the 3rd child) was apparently the best sleeper!!) dh woke me up getting up for work this am, but both boys are still asleep - I don't think there has ever been a day when one hasn't been up by 6.30 (normally 5.30 for ds2) regardless of what the other's doing, and it's 7.23 and they're both asleep and I'm bloody awake!

Just seens Rat's thread. Am so and for her.

Another non-sleeping child here. He is a NIGHTMARE to get to sleep, he screams and screams the second I leave the room. Have been doing CC but it breaks my heart. I know that if I keep going in and cuddling him to sleep though it won't get any better cos when he wakes in the night he wants cuddling back to sleep! He als has 3 teeth coming down so maybe that's it .

Have been approached to do consultancy PA and marketing work by one of DH's mates (he's an older guy, millionaire type that has just bought a new massive american business) so am very very excited at the moment.

Mortgage offer has come through on the house so estimation is 4-6 weeks to get out of this shithole. Landlady is coming round tonight to talk so keep your fingers crossed for us that she lets us out the contract!

So this is where you are all hanging out now ..........

I dont mean to gloat (but I will anyway ) but DS2 has turned into the most wonderful baby. From barely sleeping for more than 3 hours at the most and being in our bed constantly, something has finally clicked and for the last two months he's waved us all goodnight around 8 o clock and gone off to his cot and slept through to half 6 or 7. I love him

Toilet brushes and washing machine stories... yep, been there, done that !

LOL at the control freak boss Lizz. I loved your answer btw, sounds as if you were a normal person, not just a corporate bod. I still can't bring myself to shop there though in case I get carried away and buy one of those frilly outfits or satin pram covers. I saw a new baby being pushed around town in one the other day. It was hideous, all bright and shiny with 'Ryan' embroidered in big blue letters on the front .. eeeeww. mind you this is the north east so maybe .........one of the mums in scbu had got her babies name tattoed on her foot ... not subtle on her ankle or leg or anything, no full on, on her foot so you could see it at the side of her ballet pumps... do you think this was to help her remember it ?

Sorry... feeling a bit of a kat today ...

Good luck with the landlady later Wilks.

Rat. Grim news

Ugh. I swear I'd kill for 24 hours in bed in a dark room, on my own. I'm sooo tiered right now. I look like sh*t. I have exzema (sp?) on my eyelids, my forearms and its coming on my mouth and chin. And my dermatitius on my hands is vile and discusting. I've never had exzema before in my life. I feel like my body is falling apart. I can't wait until our holiday.

Wilkie - that sounds like a great possibility. I'd love a job like that. Away from skanktastic customers. [hate hate hate hate hate]
Rats - I would have done more than just key his car. I think you are a very restrained woman. x
