FairyFay · 06/02/2008 20:52

where is everyone?

milkyJammy · 06/02/2008 20:57

I am working Fairy - shouldn't be here really, but just pausing for breath before I look at this [woo hoo!]

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 20:57

Coooeee! I'm here!

I keep trying to post, but my dcs are being little buggers and I keep getting distracted!

How are you?

You can make money from that text answering service. There are people on the Money Saving Expert website that do it. You do have to work quite hard to make any good money from it, but you can make up to £10 an hour, which isn't bad.

Back in a minute, ds wants feeding!

FairyFay · 06/02/2008 20:59

Ooooo Jammy, how can you tear yourself away?

FairyFay · 06/02/2008 21:01

Thanks Holly, I think I might try and see if they'll accept me. Sorry to hear DCs are being a pain

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 21:08

It turned out he was pooey, not hungry!

Jammy that looks interesting, no really! Might have a look through it!

LardyMardyDaisy · 06/02/2008 21:14

Woo jammy, how do you manage to stay awake

I've tried the quiz for the textperts, and fail on the research everytime, even thjough I find what i believe are the right answers. I'm NBG with search engines though, so maybe not the job for me.

I'm getting an application form for ASA(?) but he other one said they are oversubscribed and aren't taking on any new researchers.

babyboo is OK. she was really grumpy, but it was more of a glancing blow than anything and has given her a massive blood pricked bruise, and lifted all the scaly skin off her scalp (and there was me thinking she didn't have any cradlecap). so she is off to bed plastered in arnica and olive oil!

I hope little fury is OK.

Sputnik · 06/02/2008 21:18

Hi Holly let us know how it goes with the questions thing.

Plus, going back to this morning's convo, do you think your DD has a future as one of those people who eat strange things,a sword-swallower perhaps?

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 21:21

Awww, bless babyboo, hope she is ok. If it's any consolation my ds has lumps and bumps all over his head, he is always falling over. He fell into the tv earlier and he has a big bruise on his face in a line! Poor things. It must be so frustrating when you fall over and hurt yourself all the time.

The Texpert quiz is really tricky. It took me a few goes to get it right, then they sent me an email saying they were full. They do keep your name on file though for the next round of training though. AQA sent me a contract this morning which I've signed and sent back, so I should start my training next week I think.

Hope little fury is ok. Any news?

Sputnik · 06/02/2008 21:22

Ouch, poor Babyboo.

I failed the texperts thing too also on research, on reflection maybe it would be better to use wikipedia than google, any tips Holly? Also I'm a bit hampered by my slow connection here

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 21:22

I think she may have a good career in front of her sputnik! I think the thing is she loves her food soooo much she will literally eat anything (except meat, that is yucky !).

Sputnik · 06/02/2008 21:27

Baby Sputnik likes to chomp on our granite tabletop, I was just saying to DH maybe we should make him a granite teether. He likes supermarket trolleys too but so far hasn't bitten any off.
DD on the other hand was a strange baby who never put stuff in her mouth or chewed on teethers.

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 21:28

Like I said it took me a few goes to pass texperts. I had dp on standby as well to answer any football questions! I used Wikipedia and yahoo questions as well as google. Just have them all open as tabs in your explorer window.

LardyMardyDaisy · 06/02/2008 21:29

LOL sputnik

but on a serious note holly, is she alright? I did a quick google and found some scarty stuff about camphor poisoning. I'd maybe call NHSdirect just to check it out.

LardyMardyDaisy · 06/02/2008 21:31

babyboo was chomping on a large flat pebble from the plant pot the other day. I figured that as it was too big for her to swallow and didn't come frm the seaside (so not salty) that it was probably nice and cool and hard on her gums.

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 21:32

She is fine daisy, twas last night, she seems ok. I too read about camphor poisoning, but she seemed well, so I didn't do anything. I did have very little sleep though, I kept checking on her...mental note to self- do not google when children eat random stuff!

FairyFay · 06/02/2008 21:34

I failed textpert too, but on the read and answer section - I think because my connection is too slow tonight so I couldn't find the answers quick enough. If they're full then I think I'll try again another day.

CalicoHollyFlint · 06/02/2008 21:34

On that note, I'm off to bed!

Night all, peace and love xx

milkyJammy · 06/02/2008 21:36

Well I'm done with work for tonight! Having reduced price chocolate cupcakes for pudding as a reward!

FairyFay · 06/02/2008 21:48

I'm snotty and bored of football so I am going to bed with a large dose of vitC and zinc to try and fight off a cold. N'night everyone

LittleMissNorty · 06/02/2008 21:52

Oh hope babyboo and baby fury are ok

I went to work this morning and DD didn't have any teeth.....came home and she's cut her bottom 2 together without any whinging, dribbling or crying ....perhaps I shouldn't speak too soon as I'm off to bed...

night all x

milkyJammy · 06/02/2008 21:54

Well done LittleLittleMissNorty!

I'm off too. Night.

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/02/2008 09:58

Is anyone around?

Can't believe I'm first up at nearly 10am!

foxythesnowman · 07/02/2008 10:20

I'm here - Morning Daisy, how's tricks?

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 07/02/2008 10:22

Nah, I've been lurking since about 7.30...
