Evening all, Jammy and Fury DH was impressed with that pub as it was in Inspector Morse [geek emoticon]. We couldn't make it as far as high wycombe.

So DH and I left DD with SIL today and went ice skating. Had a fab time and was skating well until 10 minutes before we were due to leave and I was busy yakking, fell over and was too distracted to put both my hands out. Fell smack on my face, was terrified that I might have broken my nose! I haven't but I have a lump the size of a golf ball above my eye (which I can barely open) and is turning a lovely shade of purple. Bruised cheek and chin, stiff wrist, and a knee the size of a grapefruit. Oh and a cracking headache and nausea! Great! All I wanted was a bit of time to myself, a bit of my life back and this is my punishment! I look like this (that is both sad and literally blue!)

V of your holiday btw fury!

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 25/01/2008 19:11

DD (who was gold as gold for her aunty today but cried as soon as we got back ) is:

7 months
height etc. no idea
weight 16lb
no teeth
sits up brilliantly, rolled over 3 times but not that bothered
says dada quite a lot! Screeches a lot too!
still bfed (and bitting! Desite no teeth it still hurts!)
loving her solids, including noodles, pear, peach, loved Suma pear and apple spread on toast (thanks for the heads up on that sputnik)
Hair: sticking up. Christened bog brush by an aunty
clothes size just going in to 6-9mo

FairyFay · 25/01/2008 19:11

Ouch Bumper, poor you

DS:
7 1/2 months
weight, no idea but definitely over 20 lbs
length, no idea
clothes 6-9 and 9-12 depending on the make
eating 3 meals a day plus 4 x 7oz bottles
lots of noises and shrieks but no words as such
sits, rolls, crawls and pulls himself up to kneeling and occasionally standing (then falls over!)
1st tooth cut through today
quite a lot of hair

NattyThomasandEllen · 25/01/2008 19:12

8 months yesterday (no idea how many weeks)
weight 22lb
two teeth
sitting, crawling and rolling
pulling her self up on furniture
says muma and dada
copies clapping hands
18oz in 24 hours
three meals plus 2 snacks
full head of hair down to her shoulders
clothes size 9-12m

NattyThomasandEllen · 25/01/2008 19:16

ellen started pulling herself up in her cot today, and just now managed to do it in the bath cos there are handles on the side of the bath.
i am most impressed as this morning she worked out how to crawl forwards as well.
and she is cutting her two bottom teeth only discoverd the other day.
so she has gone from a lump that sits there and doesnt do much to a proper little mover..in like one day! im so proud of her!

milkyJammy · 25/01/2008 19:27

Sounds nasty Bumper. Hope it'll feel rather better by morning (though sounds like it will take a few days at least to heal fully)

DD -

32 weeks
18lb 14oz
length no idea
no teeth
sits well, rolls well to one side only, tries to crawl but can't manage it
makes assorted sounds but nothing meaningful
3 meals + 4 or 5 BFs by day + 1 or 2 BFs by night
Not much hair ()
6 to 9 clothes but might need to get out some 9 to 12 trousers to go over huge padding of nappy

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 25/01/2008 19:30

ooh poor bumper

yes fury I meant to say hotel looks luvverly

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 25/01/2008 19:34

Oh look I'm going to need more sympathy than that! I might be concussed! I look like I've gone 4 rounds with Ricky Hatton! DH is panicking because people are going to think he's been beating me!

Right, I'm going to hobble off to have a bath, and when I get back I expect far more effusive sympathy

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 25/01/2008 19:41

ooh ooh poooooooor you bumper it must be terrible you must be in so much pain

NattyThomasandEllen · 25/01/2008 19:43

oh bumper i completely missed that! poor you, you sound really sore! hope it goes of soon, though like MJ says i think it'll take a few days. poor poor you

milkyJammy · 25/01/2008 19:44

Seriously Bumper, it does sound awful. A shame that a nice afternoon ended so badly (but at least it was at the end?) I'm sure anyone who knows your DH won't suspect him of anything, and as for other idle speculators, well sod 'em! Hope you feel a bit better after your bath, so you can get some sleep at least. Are you taking suitable painkillers?

NattyThomasandEllen · 25/01/2008 19:45

fury your hotel looks really nice, and good value to i am very very

HellHathNoFury · 25/01/2008 19:46

bumper you poor thing!!

NattyThomasandEllen · 25/01/2008 19:48

has anyone else put their little ones on a beaker yet? ellen stopped her bottles as of today as she has fully got the hang of a beaker now, and avoids all those puddles from where she leaves them lieing on the floor lol

HellHathNoFury · 25/01/2008 19:48

It does look lovely but not sure we can go now - the only direct flights are on tuesdays or in the middle of the night on a saturday, otherwise it's a 7 hour trek with a stopover in madrid

I am going to see who else flys into fuerteventura cos I really wanna go to this hotel!!

HellHathNoFury · 25/01/2008 19:51

DS is
7 months
about 10kgs whatever that is in lbs
in size 9-12 month clothes

very adept at sitting, crawling, rolling and moving between them so can go from crawling to sitting etc
refuses all milk unless it's 3am
eats more than I do
likes terrorising the dog

LittleMissNorty · 25/01/2008 19:51

Evening!

OOhhh Bumper - poor you!! Hope you'll be suitably looked after this weekend.

DD is 6.5mths
Weighs about 15lb
Height not sure
Clothes - 3-6mths, but wears some 6-9
No teeth
no hair
has rolled a few times yesterday from tummy to back and once from back to front (but I missed it!)
Says baba and today has been shouting for England!
Eats 3 meals a day and has about 5 BF
Seems to only like strong tasting food - eg - smoked salmon/Smoked Haddock/Extra mature cheese - turns her nose up at veg purees unless they have cheese in it!
and is mesmerised by our dog , who is very good with her!

HellHathNoFury · 25/01/2008 20:00
