MILF - crikey

Well Monti just ate a MASSIVE helping of mashed spuds (his fave), mashed up petit pois (a first - he loved them) and mashed up fish fingers with the breadcrumbs peeled off and eaten by me. He loved it - I have never seen him so full. His tummy is so full he can hardly crawl!!!

He ate weetabix for brekkie and a yummy rice pudding for lunch

How about all the other babies - what did they eat today?

foxcubinapeartree · 12/12/2007 19:40

BTW Thanx Kittywise for starting new thread.

Very wise

MrLSG · 12/12/2007 20:01

Dunno about today (I'm away again, much to Lunar's disgust), but Toby's favourite breakfast is soggy shredded wheat - he has 14 . Okay, they aren't the full-sized ones, only the tiny bit-sized ones, but it still seems a lot to me.

And whenever he's last eaten, even if it's only a few minutes before, if he sees us sitting down to eat, he insists on having something to chew as well.

foxcubinapeartree · 12/12/2007 20:45

Yeah Monti is very greedy too.

He will eat until he is sick - maybe he's bulimic?

KITTYmaspudding · 12/12/2007 20:47

Get you with all your feeding babies
Ronnie has turned back into boob monster from the planet nork.
He won't be spoon fed ( all my babies were like this ) and is not deft enough to pick up small wiggly things like noodles , or in Hassan's case beetles .

God I'm so very tired tonight.
Christmas play at school today then dd1 had her investiture at Beavers. She won't go to rainbows. I got kicked out of brownies for fighting .

I need wine

As usual DD is Ronnie's twin

She refused to eat at nursery during her 2 hour settling in session and slept for over 4 hours when she got home

She is currently sitting in her bumbo eating a piece of cheese, having refused 2 different pots of food.

I got told off by a HV yesterday because I apparently should be making her eat savoury food . If anyone has any tips on how I do this I would be interested. All the other mummies in the room- first timers of course- make their own food... I was the only one who (admitted to) using jars.

LunarSea · 12/12/2007 20:58

Today Toby's had:shredded wheat for breakfast, chicken and veggies with rice for lunch, a chocolate swiss roll (which he pinched at baby group this afternoon), spaghetti carbonara for dinner, a slice of bread, and half a mini naan bread.

DeathBySnooSnoo · 12/12/2007 21:05

before i catch up,i thought MILF stood for 'mum i'd like to fuck' or was that what piff said but in intelligent person language?

eidsvold · 12/12/2007 21:07

oh man - I think I missed out on most of the old thread - hopefully I can keep up this time.

Breakfast - jar food - no time otherwise

lunch - fruit - she loves kiwi fruit and watermelon especially, yoghurt, banana - she just has the kiwi fruit out of the skin, watermelon she just eats the wedges. Banana mashed

Dinner - usually veges that I have precooked and mashed then frozen or something.

during the day - odd milk arrowroot biscuit and rusk for her teeth.

still lots of boob as it is hot and she just wants to drink all day.

She has her four top teeth - clearly visible under the gum ready to explode through.

THe funniest thing is her eating - she growls like a dog whilst she is eating and if the other dds get near her she growls out of the side of her mouth - like a dog does when you get near its food!! So funny to watch - told dh he should video her for funniest home videos. DH and I just laugh at her. Not sure where it came from - perhaps the fact that dd2 spends all day growling at her to make her laugh.

DeathBySnooSnoo · 12/12/2007 21:16

evenhope-none of my babies ate savoury stuff untill they started on 'normal' food.

Elsie has had a kelloggs nutri-grain bar(otherwise known as 's**t,its 8.45 and the baby hasnt had any breakfast,quick-give her one of those to eat on the way!),a chocolate spread sandwich(this is getting worse by the second)followed by a jar of fruit puree, and some pasta followed by 2 of those very very nice petit filous chocolate desserts.plus half a packet of wotsits that dd2 poured on the floor.and some (clean) cat litter.

now i am going to ebay as i'm being naughty on here.

MerryPIFFLEmas · 12/12/2007 21:18

Finn
weetabix, fruit and milk

yoghurt, organix carrot snack things, one daanish bikkie courtesy of dd sharing hers.
few bits of toast crust, also courtesy of dd who won't eat them.

dinner
babylicious fish pie thing and mashed spuds and fruit pudding (jar Hipp apple and pear?)
I add fruit to savoury food if mushy stuff
no worries about Finn eating finger food, he'll eat anything if he can shove it in his gob himself - including my shoes [bleurgh]

scary moment earler when he pulled himself up on his walker and pushed it the full length of the living room, with some semblence of control....
scary indeed, currently scanning toys online for suitable pushing toy for the wee tyke

MerryPIFFLEmas · 12/12/2007 21:20

eids so very nice to see you posting!

Callieco · 13/12/2007 00:19

Hello all, once again have been following but no time, no time...

Have just this minute finished doing an application for an attachment to another dept for three months which my manager has not yet replied to my email about (excuse terrible grammar!). Oh well, not my fault if she doesn't read her emails is it . I'm in the middle of discussing return to work with her so this should go down like a lead balloon. As predicted, she is trying to take money off me - why oh why hasn't she gone already but at least she is going at some undisclosed date, sadly not before I return.

Sazzy - you poor darling, had my heart in my mouth reading about poor wee Elliot. You spoil him as much as you need to! hope he is ok now.

Hello Amie, nice to see you again and I think somebody else has returned?

Do any of you with boys have one who weighs as much as mine? Jordi now I think about 24lb . On the food front, he has milk when he wakes, Ready Brek about 1.5 hours later, had Quorn and vegetable bolognaise and pasta for lunch, tiny bit of cheese and sliver of toast and satsuma for afters, milk (offer 7oz/200ml each time) should have been mid afternoon but slept for HOURS in pram so was later, then had lentil, potato, parsnip and carrot mash, didn't eat loads cos of previous milk not being so long before. Then milk for bed. Does that seem a lot to anyone? He does generally have two "proper" meals at lunch and dinner. Is anyone else a non-meat eater who's not giving the baby meat?

LOOK at the time must go to bed!

NotEvenHopingForAWhiteXmas · 13/12/2007 10:31

Callie we are veggie and won't be giving DD meat. Sounds like Jordi's doing well on it

bethoo · 13/12/2007 11:25

goodness, i think i am starving mine! he has a petit filous or yoghurt for breakfast after our dog walk and then possibly a rusk which he then feeds the dogs with! the child minder claims he always eats masses (probably because i have starved him!!!)
tea is either a smaller portion of what i am having or a jar followed by a pudding, usually a mousse! no wonder he is so small!!

[concerned frown!)

bethoo · 13/12/2007 11:27

just been reading some posts on the say something nice about your man thread and it is depressing!
all i could put was he was good in bed! as that is the only nice thing at the mo!

awayinamuppet · 13/12/2007 12:22

FOUND YOU!!

too embarrassed to comment on quantities of food porker Samuel eats (takes after his mother

bethoo... it's a quality not to be sniffed at

anyone heard from laidback recently?

DeathBySnooSnoo · 13/12/2007 12:25

bethoo-i'm sure you could find somebody who's even better in bed,and then you will think that your dp is useless even at that

bethoo · 13/12/2007 12:27

muppet -but it is the only bloody quality at the mo! nevermind better than nothing!!! though i envy the emotional thing everyone else has going, forgotten what it was like!

bethoo · 13/12/2007 12:28

snoosnoo - i do not know as he is something else! if it was not for that i would defo be gone. i have a feeling that i will only compare future partners performance to his. i already have like when i had that brief encounter with the 24 year old PTI!

awayinamuppet · 13/12/2007 12:43

sorry to lower the tone but i am findingthis thread hilarious

foxcubinapeartree · 13/12/2007 13:36

Ohh EEEEk at that threat

Bethoo may we all borrow him please?

I would pay you?

TheBlonde · 13/12/2007 14:25

Hi all

DD has fruit puree and a rusk first thing, something savoury and then fruit for both lunch and dinner
Milk inbetween
She's about 19lbs

I took her to the HV for her 8mth check yesterday. Got some good books in the bookstart book so going to wrap them up for Xmas

I am always that any of you have time for hot loving!

KITTYmaspudding · 13/12/2007 16:44

S'alright blondie I've no time for even tepid lovin'

OP posts:
Callieco · 13/12/2007 20:55

TheBlonde are you still BFing your DD too?

Ok, I have a sum total of two Christmas presents and zero idea of what I'm getting anybody else. I went out shopping yesterday and despite Jordi as mentioned before conveniently sleeping the whole time, was still unable to find inspiration. I saw loads of things I would have bought for him though! This is obviously transference, because usually when I'm Xmas shopping I see things I would like for myself. Now then, something's wrong here...!
