...and a partridge in a pear tree!

Merry Christmas. Feel like having a drink now!

TheBlonde · 13/12/2007 21:06

Hi Callie - yes I am still bf so have almost no libido (what with a 2.7 yr old who prefers our bed and a huge fear of pg!)

spongecake · 13/12/2007 21:23

found you! am sure need to up ds intake of food.he is still bf as he doesn;t like follow on milk- i have moved to another brand, which he is so so with- i mix it with his porridge and a spoon of fruit puree to disguise the taste. or i mash plain no sugar biscuits into it, with fruit again.

snoo snoo that's what i thought milf was
got confused with the posh version

MerryPIFFLEmas · 13/12/2007 21:33

Ha! Bf kills libido
ahhh best not tell that to DP

Am panicking myself, did the deed last night RARE RARE RARE... Af finished 2 days ago, normally HE is mr condom man - no idea why not last night HOW did I not notice or care?????????.
ARRGHHH
likelihood of pregancy pls tell me is NIL.

Anyways presents all bought except for DP's
Need to buy Finn push along walker thing at figuring out crawling 10 days ago and now he is cruising?
Scary scary
He can say two things and I know it means something Burr for his snuggly bear as he says it everytime he sees it and buies his face in it and muma for me!!!!! I know this as he squeals it whenever I leave the room and then leaps upon me sobbing it when I return
Who could fail to be moved, bless him.
Oh and he is nearly clapping and he waves goodbye to everyone at bedtime
Oh he is luscious atm.... truly lush

maybe another one would be ok

TheBlonde · 13/12/2007 22:01

Ah Piff, it depends on your cycle
assuming your cycle is 28 days, day 1 = 1st day of AF, day 14 = ovulation
sperm can live for 5 days approx....

MerryPIFFLEmas · 13/12/2007 23:00

arrghhh 29 day cycle
am praying hostile cervix LOL

TheBlonde · 14/12/2007 07:12

I am sure you will be fine

KITTYmaspudding · 14/12/2007 07:42

Piffle, it's HIGHLY unlikely. .

Luckily I have 6 very effective methods of contraception busying themselves round the house

OP posts:
bethoo · 14/12/2007 09:20

Piffle - very unlikely.
i am still bf yet i still have a high sex drive! bit annoyed as dp said on wed that he would come over last night and stay (so i was thinking shave for a night of passion!) and then get a text saying he had to work late as the house he is painting has to be finished by tuesday! so did not shave though did have a bath! i am just not going ot bother anymore and see if he likes hairy women! anyway enough ranting. i love the fact that i am having a long distance relationship with someone who lives a mile up the road, cant see how finishing at 9 meant he could not pop over but then that is me! i obviously expect too much.

Rosyrednosily · 14/12/2007 10:03

Piffle that sounds exactly how I acquired Hasan You didn't care cuz you are ovulating...cert (sits back and waits for announcement from Piffle next month )

Well you all sound so brilliant with the feeding. Hasan won't take a spoon feed and I am just absentmindedly giving him the odd thing to chew on/make a mess with. I am so lazy! I really am.

I had a quick chat with Laidback on our facebook walls. Sounds like she and Amos are doing great.

I am in terrible form. I'm really sick of myself and the situation that I have created for myself. I need a personality transplant.

I've had my parents and dh having a go at me about ds1 and his addiction to wow snoosnoo.
It is his gcse year and I am going to have to try and do something with him or he'll flunk and he is actually really bright but he doesn't care.
I've been allowing him to play for hours because I am preoccupied with the little ones and I haven't the energy to try and make him study.
I just think that if he flunks he can repeat and that eventually he will work out what he wants to do and go for it. But I'm getting pressure from family to do more and I feel really low and lousy about the whole thing.

MerryPIFFLEmas · 14/12/2007 10:05

lol bethoo at your lack of booty callers

My sex drive does not yet have a rating...
I tend to rely on the only true 100% contraceptive method out there

Kitty yes I imagine 6 would be enough, might even put a dent in Dp's unwavering libido too...
Not sure I'm stupid brave enough to try that though

Jaysthird · 14/12/2007 10:49

beeeebo peeps!!

Wanted to finally get back on here and wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISSSSSYMAS, loving all the festive names, sadly i cant think of one for me as my brain is mush and just wont work at being creative!!! - any suggestions, gladly welcome!

Have read some of the thread......re sex drive.....

it went it .... it came back ....i got pregnant ......it went....!!! Have to say though, that there has been quite a few times in the past week or so that i have had the steamiest dreams about ALL aspects of sex and the like... i wake up wondering if it was indeed real!!!!
hehehe

regards feeding the tykes, Jensen is a monster...i have started having to feed him at 5 in the morning, when he will take about 6 ozs, THEN he will go back to sleep to wake at 7 , and he then takes about 5 ozs...... an hour later, its readybrek (huge bowl) followed by 1/2 - 1 slice of buttered toast. Fruit mid morning, then some kind of finger food, cheese on toast, beans on toast, quiche, omlette, followed by yoghurt or pot of custard. Bikkie and bottle (4-5ozs) mid afternoon, then dinner at 5 ish - whatever we are having, ie, mince, stew, sausage casserole...with mashed pots and veg... followed by sponge pudding or pot of rice pudding... then milk at 7 before bed, prob only about 3-4 ozs though.

Callieco, J is weighing in at nearly 26lbs.... thing is about him though, he just doesn't look it, hes so tall, but boy does he feel it when i have to lug him AND my pregnant body up the stairs!!

You would think that all that food coupled with the cruising and crawling, that he would sleep soundly....alas its just not happening! we will get there one day i am sure!

Off to finish Christmas shopping today, have three pressies to get and i just dont know what they are yet, am hoping to be hit by some form of devine intervention when i get to town!

hugs to one and all xxxxxxx

foxcubinapeartree · 14/12/2007 11:08

Oh stop it you lot you are making me broody!!

Kittywise IKWYM about the noisy contraceptives though!

Bethoo may I borrow your DP for sex please? I'm happy to pay....

Rosy - what is your DS1 addicted to? Is there still time to make him bickle down? How about an incentive - big pressie if he passes his tests?

foxcubinapeartree · 14/12/2007 11:10

Jay - great to hear from you - jensen is doing really well by the sounds of it - how far gone are you now?

Jaysthird · 14/12/2007 11:42

Am 30 weeks almost, i have no idea where the time has gone, and was quite shocked the other day when DH said to me, well only 10 weeks to go ....... !!!!

Rosyrednosily · 14/12/2007 12:07

Jay where does the time go! What about Jaynglebellsthird? or I know I know.... Jaysproutsthird!

Fox he is addicted to an online game...I know it could be worse. I think I'm premenstrual. It'll probably be fine. He won't do as well as he could do -like many a teenage boy-but he'll get there I'm sure. I just feel overwhelmed by the responsibility and commitment of motherhood at the moment.

MerryPIFFLEmas · 14/12/2007 13:02

Rosy teens are hard to motivate.
Is he rally as blase as he sounds or is he just blagging?
Any chance of speaking to teachers to see if he is bottoming out as much as you suspect?

If so time for some tough love.

We had an issue recently with ds1 (accessing porn ) and he has the pc locked down and we are VERY strict now with him, to the point of misery
But it is having results

10 wks to go Jays, holy moly that has gone bloody fast....

AmieR · 14/12/2007 13:29

Making me hungry all this talk of food!

be ok if Joel iked to eat as much as the dog! He's attempted to eat a bottle of fairy liquid, while i was at work this morning, and nhe's laid in it all! so i'm now off to wash his coat out! this should be fun!

Why after 4 years he's decided he wanted washing up liquid i have no idea! think he's regretting it though, but at least he smells better!

bethoo · 14/12/2007 13:58

blimey Jay not long now!!!
feeling happy today as went on face book and my cable guy had replied. means alot since he is sunning it up in Africa with lots of young tottie!!!

awayinamuppet · 14/12/2007 16:15

oooh bethoo!!

DeathBySnooSnoo · 14/12/2007 16:41

ahhhhrrrggghh cant keep up,i will have to reply to the posts ive read then read the rest later.
(that'll teach me to get involved in another AIBU thread.i will never learn)

piffle-i have reason to believe that dd2 was concieved the day after my af finished.

rosy-when i was doing my GCSE's there was a big stigma attached to doing 'resits',so i worked my arse off.
i dont see why you're getting it in the ear for how your 16 year old son is choosing to spend his time?
i never get time to listen to ds1 and dd1 read or help them with their homework, but i figure they should be able to do it by themselves by now?
that aside, does he realise he is addicted to world of wankers warcraft?

when i am in 'blame myself for everything' mode,i try and remember that i have never got pregnant by myself!

bethoo-you can have it all,you know.i had a boyfriend about 3 years ago who was immature and unreliable, but i thought was the 'best',so i put up with all sorts of crap.i thought i would never have better untill i met dhi always find its much better with somebody you have deep feelings for as well as fancying the arse off them.

time is rarely an issue here, its energy thats the problem

NotEvenHopingForAWhiteXmas · 14/12/2007 17:57

rosy my 16 yo is on runescape non stop. After 3 going through GCSEs/ A levels I am now a bit blase about it. If he messes up he'll have to resit and that is his problem not mine

foxcubinapeartree · 14/12/2007 18:01

Heh Heh I really like Jaysproutsthird!

Jay I cannot believe you are 30 weeks already - wow!!!!

KITTYmaspudding · 14/12/2007 19:12

Gosh Jay 30 weeks, nearly over then!

OP posts:
spongecake · 14/12/2007 20:24

sounds great jay, i feel broody-esp after looking at baby clothes today for present. ahhh

just unblocked the sink by myself! dh is working so had to - would be awful for him to come home after all night in the kitchen to fiddle with the sink etc.

rosy, he is 16- you could point out that if he wants to go to uni and leave home its looking unlikely? look at some cool college and uni sites for motivation?
