Wasn't a night terror was it kayzed-Em had a few of these in the early years?

Girls-bought a pair of ahem, size 10 troos from M&S and then had to order a ...................size 8 skirt. Lordy, even when I was at goal before I was only a 10. Sizes must be bigger now methinks. Mum is starting to worry about me not eating. That will never happen.

Pavlov is deffo a possibility. Does anyone dare put that one the other thread? Yes, I dare. Am off over there now.

Bloss, it's a deal! I tried a bit of PU/PD tonight, but then she got her foot stuck in the bars of the cot and screeched, so I gave up (I know, I'm pathetic!).I have a bottle of water ready. (and a bottle of milk just in case...). See you at 7am!

KZ how scary. . Hope she's ok.

Sorry to put a spanner in it girls, but I don't think it Pavlov, as she lives in Devon, and the Virgin Mary lives in London, iirc.

HC, you skinny mare!! Well done you.
No chance of that for me, I'm on the wine, awaiting an Indian curry. OOOh there's the doorbell!!!!

Lysette, you take it easy now!!

Nite girls!! Yum....

Ceebee74 · 22/08/2007 21:05

HC - how brave of you to name Pav on the other thread And a size 8 well done again! And to think we started the weight loss together and I have only lost a stone I am so ashamed about my lack of willpower. A photo is defintely required!!

KZ - Josh has had a few 'screamers' in the night (funnily enough he had one last night aswell) which I think are night terrors (HC - does this sound like them?). He wakes screaming over and over again but I don't think he is awake - he never opens his eyes and doesn't seem to be aware of his surroundings no matter how much we talk to him, cuddle him, shake him (gently of course) etc. Eventually (usually after about 5/10 minutes of screaming) he just drops off again - but I don't think he ever wakes up. I reckon he has had about 5 of these so far and they do freak me out. Sounds like Roshi might just have been starting with something - poor babe

KZ - you have got me thinking about matty pants now aswell - am so sick of jeans that dig into my tummy and create an unsightly 'muffin top' that wondering if matty jeans might solve the problem - do you know of any good ones that would be 'boy'
fit and long?

Tbh ladies, am feeling quite down about myself at the moment - just feeling fat and frumpy and can't seem to shake it. My friend yesterday looked so slim and glamorous and I just felt awful next to her Don't know what I can do to shake this feeling (well I do really - lose 3 stone) but that is not going to happen overnight and when I am down, I eat so shooting myself in the foot really

Anyway, enough about my woes - the footy is about to start again so must dash!

HumphreysCorner · 22/08/2007 21:09

With night terrors they are really asleep with their so you can't communicate with them for about 5-7 mins. All we used to do with Em was hold her to protect her until she had stopped thrashing about and screaming. Hope Roshi is OK poor love.

DH waiting to look at caravans so better go.

Oh, forgot Pavlov isn't a Londoner is she-Doh!

Lysette - WOW WOW WOW so happy for you!!!!!!

f@F - yes Leo is a Leo, the other two are cancer (as am I, but on the cusp with gemini) Dh is a gemini.

Ceebee - good luck with ttc! Getting preg is also a good way to stop yourself feeling fat and frumpy, a great excuse

Bloss - you made me laff and laff with your "grubby old bard"

kababy - nice to know I haven't got the only really loud one! We were at a special assembly at the dcs' school (their much loved classroom assistant died in a freak accident) and he started shouting and laughing. I took him out pronto!

prettymum - that site sounds fab! I read a lot, mostly after I have gone to bed. Leo is still in the room with us so I read under the covers with a torch so I don't wake him up. I feel like a kid again doing it

annie - sorry if it isn't you who is it!?

KX - could be a night terror?

HC - wow on size 8 well done you!

Leo is walking!!! He has been taking a few steps, when encouraged, for a week or so, but today at toddler group he started heading off by himself He can't go very far (no further than a metre ) but he can walk in my book

Wallace · 22/08/2007 21:29

kayzed - those jeans are lovely. Despite my running, I am putting on weight (we have agreed this is muscle, right?) And I have a lovely flabby belly. Such a nightmare getting jeans as I have short legs (the ones in your link come in short) and skinny hips and bum, but then a belly and love handles

Twinklemegan · 22/08/2007 21:45

Hello everyone

Lysette ? congratulations!!! Fabulous news. Got everything crossed for you!

Aidan?s definitely not walking yet, unless you count with his ride on fire engine (which is truly an instrument of torture now he?s discovered the dreaded buttons ). Lots of cruising though and he also seems very solid standing, he just hasn?t the confidence to let go.

Tantrums galore here. Aidan also completely ignores/laughs at us when we tell him off, and then goes absolutely ape when you take something away or remove him from something. He?s had a couple of real horrors, lasting up to 20 mins. The first time I was on the verge of calling NHS Direct , I thought something was really really wrong. Then in desperation I took him outside to distract him and he saw one of the cats and calmed down quickly after that. But honestly, there is absolutely no consoling him when he gets like that. I think he?s very highly strung (as was I so I?m led to believe). My mum thinks it?s Karma

Actually come to think of it, with the first of these he did actually wake up screaming. Maybe that was a night terror? How horrible.

Is anyone else?s LO hitting them? Aidan?s getting terrible ? me, DH, the cats. The nursery reckon it?s his way of showing affection at the moment ? doesn?t seem too affectionate to me, it blardy hurts sometimes. Any tips on how to stop him?

Well I finally saw the consultant today ladies about my labour and birth and it was very useful. So much so that we might be thinking about ttc soon. Might?

xx

kayzed-does sound awfully like one of Em's night terrors. Terrified me the 1st time it happened then I happened to read about it somewhere so realised what it was which made it easier to deal with.

Wallace-well done Leo. Little poppet

Ceebee- There is nowt wrong with you. ((hugs)).

Bed for me as off to The Pink Pig (animal farm thinng) with my Thursday friends tomorrow then Em has her Graduation Party at Nursery.
