Evening ladies-Bloss, you have made the right decision. Lots of luck for Monday and your trip to Spain.

Have put all the decorations up today. MIL turned up midway and I caught her reading what I had written on MN. Good job it was't about her and note to self to lock the screen in future. Emma was so excited and managed to break a bauble. Luckily it was an old one.

spin-I think if you put Roshi next to Sophie the difference would be tremendous. Little 21 lb non walking, non talking Sophie (bless).

Going to a mince pie and mulled wine afternoon party tomorrow to one of Emma's school friend's houses. My diet is going really badly.

Right, bed time so bye for now.

Buenos tardes a todas...

Thanks for all the poo feedback (hmmm.... not a nice combination of words there!) I love the way we can get reassurance from each other...

Well done Annie on a booze-free week! Hope the soft water trial is helping poor Kayley'e eczema. The dirrrrty weekend is in London - I'm going this Friday and staying in DPs hotel (just a business one - not Claridges or anything!). It'll just be lovely to re-connect with one another properly....

Thanks for all your kind comments on my photo losses. Luckily have the olds and the in-laws on the case - burning cds of all the photos I've sent them over the past year and half!

LOL Frosty at the dinosaur and posh animals! No idea what a "posh" animal is (a poodle?) but like the mental image of them all with little Fendi handbags and neck scarves..... Sorry about the rosecea - whatever that is - sounds nasty...

Gorg pix on FB Pretty! See what you mean about Junior climbing on everything! I thought Ry was bad...!

So sorry about Josh's pukes, CB. Any news on your new nephew/niece?

Good luck with first day back at work Bloss. I'm sure it'll all work out fine. Grrr at your DH - what a berk. Hope you got your lie-in today at least.

Love your "spending time with each other" xmas pressie Algach - last of the great romantics!!!

Glad Roshi's settling in better Spin. Can't believe Chili's only 4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN! The last photos I saw of him, he looked much older than that. And Roshi's really advanced too - you must have a super microwave womb that creates super-grown-up kids!

Went to a friend's kid's first b-day party today in a cafe which had (large) permanently open doors right onto a busy, main road. Of course at any opportunity Ryan ran for them.... At one point he'd climbed under a table and I lost sight of him, started to panic and everyone was looking for him.... and then he came walking out of the kitchen on the hand of the chef! Phew! V scary few moments. I ended up leaving early as it was all too stressful. DP had already flown back to UK on business - really needed his extra pair of eyes/hands.

Have a great week all. I'm on single mum mode again after a lovely weekend with my boys - so sweet of DP to fly back to Madrid for such a short space of time - it would have been miserable without him. Least I'm a third of the way though it now and the in-laws get here on Wed to help out.....

Besos a todas. Impy

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/12/2007 18:58

I DID get my lie in. Hurray. Well till 8am, let's not get carried away, then DH sent H upstairs to call me a Lazy bones but, around here, 8am is decadent! Typically, because it was DH's turn to get up with them, both boys slept right through till 6.40am. Which NEVER EVER happens. He has the luck of the devil that man...

Cue a very stressful morning until I said RIGHT I DON@T CARE IF IT'S BUCKETING DOWN WE ARE GOING OUT. So we tropped down a high street where a soggy Yuletide fair was trying to happen, and then went to the local sports centre soft play to have lunch and then onto see my friend and her new baby, and do you know what? Regardelss of rain and DH hating soft play places and all the rest of it, compared to being indoors with 3 males it was all bliss. If in doubt go out. My new mantra. Even got some Chrimble shopping done.

benn giving Toby extra cuddles and kisses (if that is possible) as I am so loath to let him go tomorrow.

Thanks for all good wishes. Outfit is hanging on wardrobe door, handbag has been de-nappied/snacked/baby wiped, boys bags are packed and ready....

Bet I'm up all night!

Bloss

Happy Birthday Chili! Want to see photos of the day

Hello everyone else

I dreamt that we had started a new thread because this one is taking so long to load... How sad is that!

FrostyTheSnowman · 02/12/2007 20:39

Good Luck Bloss-am so proud of you. Glad you got a bit of a lie in.

agalch and Impy-lol at your Hotel trips to spend quality time together. Impy-how frightening when Ryan toddled off.

Had a fab afternoon at the Christmas Party. MIL came with me and we didn't want to leave but poor Sophie was suffering with her cold. Ate loads and drank lots of yummy mulled wine.

That's all for now.

Good luck for tomorrow Bloss, it's going to be great - sounds like you're fully prepared (I usually go to work in fear that I'll pull a nappy out of my handbag at an inopportune moment, either that or offer round a pot of raisins).

Impy - hard when they're escape artists isn't it, sounds like Ryan is pretty good at making friends tho

DH went to get measured for a new suit as he's lost so much weight that his old one doesn't fit any more. He took DS with him who apparently was a real hit with the 'gentlemen' in the shop. It's a pretty old-fashioned 'Suits you, sir' kind of place (for those of you who remember the Fast Show). They even measured up his arms a little

p.s. just resurrecting last year's Christmas name - you like ?

FirstAtForty · 02/12/2007 21:49

Mae - excellent name, definitely worth resurrecting

GOOD LUCK tomorrow Bloss !!!!!

Happy Birthday gorgeous Chili xxx

Bloss - a belated 'good luck' from me - how did you first day go?

Blossomingintoachristmasfairy · 03/12/2007 19:36

oh look, how lovely you all are with your good wishes! Thanks so much, quite touched.

First day went really well on the whole. Couldn't MN even if I'd wanted to, as my laptop wasn't ready, so spent most of the afternoon feeling like a spare groom at a wedding trying to look busy with no computer (no mean feat) but actually had a LUNCH HOUR yes a LUNCH HOUR, 60 whole minutes of uninterrupted time to eat and drink and talk! Such luxury! The people seem very nice, I am a bit daunted by the job they see me doing, gulp, and have had to inform them of my inability to do any kind of maths whatsoever, (ie, they work on profit margins instead of revenues, and I have to work that out! I'm totally f@@king shit at maths) and I think they thought I was joking, but on the whole it went very well.

The worst part of the whole day by far was what I had anticipated - HOONING it across the countryside to gt the boys before the nursery closed. I have negotiated that I leave at 5.15pm so that I have 45 minutes to do a 30 minute journey, but the traffic was so bad I still only just made it by the skin of my teeth, and the boys were the last to be collected which is just HORRIBLE! But they were full of beans, have had a great day,and are both in bed, exhausted. Toby seemed fine! They said he was clingy but not upset so that great!

See how tomorrow goes.

Love to all.
